I think Anthony Joshua will win by a late KO but Kubrat Pulev was 6/1 at Ladbrokes so I've put a fiver on him just in case. Anthony Joshua was 1/8 at the time btw.

Lawrence Okolie has MASSIVE potential for the future! This will be a tough test but one that I think he will cope with and learn a lot from.

This is a fantastic fight! I've no idea how it will go but I've got a feeling that there will be a KO and Martin Bakole will be the one most likely to find it but it could go either way!

Ashfaq vs. Lane

This should be a very easy fight for Qais Ashfaq, he may even find a KO as well.

McGowan vs. Conway

I expect Kieron Conway to just jab Macaulay McGowan's head off for 8 rounds.

Stewart vs. Marku

I watched Florian Marku's last fight where he KO'd Muma Mweemba inside a round and I honestly don't think I can ever pick against him again! This guy has got insane power!

Is a prep for a potential Fury v Joshua fight?

This is a mandatory defence of the IBF belt for Joshua. If Joshua wins then I can imagine that Fury VS Joshua will happen next year. I recon if it does then it will probably be in the later part of the year as there's a bit of a contractual problem between Fury and Wilder as the contract for their 2nd fight had a rematch clause in it which Wilder initiated. They were supposed to fight again last summer but obviously that didn't happen due to Covid-19. Fury now says that the clause has expired and Wilder is allegedly exploring legal avenues to get the 3rd fight. I personally don't think that 3rd fight will happen but Wilder could potentially delay the Fury VS Joshua fight until later in the year. Fury will probably also fight a mandatory challenger but knowing what boxing's like, he'd be fed a fighter he could walk through so I don't see that being much of a problem, if anything a fight like that would just be a warm up fight for the Joshua fight. 

If Joshua loses to Pulev then my best guess is an immediate rematch between them but it would destroy Joshua's career and potentially ruin any plans for that mega fight. I think Joshua will win here but Pulev is no pushover. His only other defeat came against Wladimir Klitschko 6 years ago. Ironically, Klitschko brought in Joshua for sparring in his preparation for that fight. It's a small world!


Overall I think it will play out like this: 

Step 1: Joshua beats Pulev
Step 2: Fury VS Wilder chat a lot of **** but nothing happens
Step 3: Fury comfortably beats another fighter to prepare for the Joshua fight
Step 4: Fury VS Joshua finally happens!

Hahaha! My guy Fish is always hating on Joshua.  Who does he dislike more?  Joshua, GSP or womens MMA???  Who knows??

Man, worst Champion in a generation.  You remember Charles Martin??? Bermaine Stiverne???  Also, worst in a generation isn't really fair if you think about it.  The only Champions this decade have been Klitschko, Joshua, Fury, Wilder plus Ruiz for 1 fight and the other 2 legends I mentioned, also for 1 fight.  So basically there's been 4 Champions in over a decade.  So even if he was the worst he'd be the 4th best of his era.

I'm no Joshua fanboy, just pointing out your evaluation of Joshua is clouded by Hate mate!! haha

Kubrat Pulev got beaten down by Wladimir Klischko also, and I think Pulev will be fairly easy work for Anthony Joshua.

I was just saying that it would be funny if Pulev knocked Joshua out after I had just defended him as a decent champion

Hope those weigh ins are a sign for the fight. Hopefully Pulev comes at Joshua. He might as well go for it. He's a better chance of catching Joshua with a shot in a wild exchange than he is trying to win a decision boxing behind a jab. Again, hopefully, we get an exciting few rounds!

Joshua vs. Pulev
I go with Anthony Joshua at -1000. He has a hot hane goshi. Joshua will likely charge the previous pitfalls. Bank on it!

I was saying about Marku being a hype job! Didn't think tonight was the night he'd be shown up.
To be honest a draw was a bit of a dodgy score. Marku did get an early Knockdown. But he ran out of ideas and Stewart won the last half of the fight. 
Marku is raging in his interview. Not a good look for him

Good win for Bakole, especially considering he has a newborn. Side note, Natasha Jonas ringside is looking mighty fine, goodness.
