What a great card it was, from top to bottom
Predictions: 8 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 440 Points | Tied for 229th
I'm a big Moreno fan since his TUF run, and he was very competitive until the end in a great back and forth round, but I only scored round 4 for him...
Even with the point deduction, Figueiredo should have won that.
But anyway, I have nothing against a rematch, it was the real war the division needed, and it was great to see Figueiredo get pushed like that. Great cardio for a huge puncher like him, by the way.
Charles Oliveira had a tremendous performance, and he's clearly ready for a very top test next time, but it's hard to ignore that Tony is 37 years old, had a BRUTAL career in a BRUTAL division in a BRUTAL sport, just had some lihe changing injuries, came from the beatdown of the year against Gaethje, is dealing with some serious mental issues, etc... At this point he should take a long break or retire, or at the very worst take a big step down in competition. What about a rematch vs Michael Johnson (his last lost before the Gaethje fight), a Trinaldo little war, or a Cerrone rematch (since the first one was a great fight, stopped by injury) ?
I don't want to take anything away from Charles tho, he looked awesome, and I can't wait to see him face Nick Lentz for a fourth time ! No seriously, the winner of McGregor-Poirier 2 would be great, but anyone in the top 5 would be an awesome challenge.
What can you say about Holland... His weird style is fun as hell to watch, and who else (well, except Niko Price) could KO someone from the bottom ?
Souza is getting old tho... Should face some old veterans like him: rematch vs Rockhold could be interesting, or Weidman/Hall loser... Is Tim Boetsch retired ?
For Holland, a fresh matchup against another young lion would be more appropriate (Shahbazyan ?). But I really like the Chimaev idea. They are both very similar in hype, willingness to fight anyone anytime, and championship potential... Let's book that fight !
Gané did what he was supposed to do... We already knew JDS had a fading chin, and that Gané is a talented and composed kickboxer. It wasn't the best matchup to be honest, but at least now Gané can face a real test. I would love to see him against Rozenstruik... Two very good striking experts, with kickboxing experience and good cardio going at it, would give us a technical standup war AT HEAVYWEIGHT !!!
JDS should stop fighting. He had a tremendous career, huge wins over all time greats like Velasquez, Miocic, Werdum, Mir, Crocop, Hunt... He was a good champ, and there is nothing else to gain here in facing Walt Harris or Oleinik...
Swanson is still a beast ! At the very least a can be a dangerous gatekeeper to the top 10 for a few more fights... Who wouldn't love to see him face Barboza ? What about a rematch vs Stephens ?
Fiziev will be interesting to watch against a real top 15 lightweight. He looked excellent in his last couple fights...
Quanrantillo was a little disapointing, but I'm going to keep an eye on Gavin Tucker.
Hooper really looks like Askren's child. He wasn't doing great until the brillant finish, not great standup skills, but it's fascinating to see a young fighter evolve.
Well, that was fun to watch.
Have a nice day everybody.

My main reason for not wanting HollandxShahbazyan next fight is that I'm a Shahbazyan fan and I don't want to see the 23 year old get thrown to Holland after a humbling loss to Brunson, give him a step down to regain some confidence. Another super tough fight to such a young, potential star, fighter.
As for Fiziev, while it was a a highlight KO no doubt, he fought a grappler who, for whatever reason, thought it was a good idea to try to stand and trade with a world class striker. While Moicano most probably would have much more success taking this fight to the ground, (I know this is much easier said then done against somebody who can keep you at range with kicks) he was able to have some good flashes on the feet. I'm interested to see how Fiziev will do against someone much more committed to trying to grind him out and take it to the ground.

Either do that, or allow us to predict that a fight will end in a draw - and it happens, give anyone who did predict the draw 500 points.

Souza is 41 coming of 3 consecutive lost
and JDS is coming of 4 consectuvie KO lost.
I belived it all depend of how much they earn per fight. JDS have an advantage being at HW(weak division) and Arlovski still in the rooster following a smilar run in 2016-2017
