Allen vs. Strickland
Sean Strickland, TKO, R3
This is a ******* headscratcher. Between Allen being so green in his career and showing growth everytime and Strickland just coming back and absolutely thrashing a can there are so many variables here. Sean Strickland has amazing low-power output that has served him well against high level wrestlers in the past, he maintains range and is really good at pulling the trigger as people come in. Against fighters like McGee, Ponzinibbio, and Usman he has still maintained an astounding 81% TD defense. His striking defense is off the charts and his chin looks so much better at 185. By all the numbers it should be Strickland by a blowout. But how will he grapple up at this weightclass? 15lbs is a relatively big jump in what is likely to be a grapple heavy first round, will his ground cardio and defense hold up against a young stud like Allen? A lot of ******* variables. I watched a good amount of tape on both of these guys cause I truly couldn't make up my mind. I have to go with Strickland, because unless Allen can turn around his 37% TD acc rate he's in for a bad night on the feet.

It's a good fight and helped turned this card around, but this really seems like the wrong time for both Sean Strickland and Brendan Allen to be fighting. The winner will be in good standing, I guess. But still kind of confused by it.

All this gambling talk has me excited. But are we really feeling good about a guy like Anders? Are we certain Rhys McKee can't fight? He was good in Cage Warriors and maybe Khamzat is just a beast? And I don't even know what to think about the main event. Felder has only been out 10 months, same as RDA. But Felder was talking like he might have stayed retired. How much training was he doing in that time?

I thought Strickland took a one off at 185 before he went back down to 170 was what i read everywhere before his last fight. Instead he takes a fight with a prospect at 85. I dont get it either guys.

Predictions: 5 of 9 Winners, 3 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 999th

Arroyo vs. Anders
Antônio Arroyo, DEC
Eryk Anders is probley the most overated fighter in the UFC and it's defantly one of the worst as he should be 1 in his last 7 with his only win to the worst fighter probley in the UFC Vinusios Morriera as GM3 won that fight if u watch it and not mentaly handucap like most judges are, And Tim Willams was winning the fight to a headkick in the last 15 secounds and that Tim ******* Williams a guy he was suspose to highlight real knockout in the first round, I get to fade Anders at + money is an increadble deal because Anders is a diverse stand up with right hand and has a great right hand and guess what else a right hand. And Anders can't wresle that great or atlest doesn't he more of a standup guy. Don't really rembeber his fight with Muniz but the Muniz guy look like a monster and he did well on the ground with Muniz and so that will atlest cancel out the ground game or give Arroyo the ground advantage, And he has way more weapon and diverse tool to out point him or knock him out later. Think 79% of people should buy a ticket for the shortbus for missing this great advesment opputoty to fade Anders at +125

Hansen vs. McKenna
Cory McKenna, DEC
Think UFC should do more matchups like this one, I love it because it two future prospect born in 1999 if u want to fell old, I rather this then give them both cans, This fight is close and im leaning Mckenna because she really did impress me on contender series stopping Vanaessa Demopolos ground game and kicking her ass for 15 minutes, Kay Hanson was in a close fight where she could of loss to Jin Yu Frey until she got that dope armbar, and like Hideff said, I'm a contraian and on 50 50 fights i rather be on the 20% and the +180 side because that where the betting value is and it's more fun

Morono vs. McKee
Alex Morono, TKO, R1
He gonna beat him more impresivly than the overated Khamzat did, Because Ian Heinsh beat GM3 more impresivly and Holland, Marshman, and the Iron Turtle did to John Philips

I don't know Duck, Arroyo is also not wath I call UFC calliber. Anders only have power but sometime, its enought to win one out of 3 even in the UFC.

I guess Paul Felder is the biggest name, who has main evented cards before, who wanted the fight with RDA. I am actually not that excited because i feel RDA takes the win comfortably on 5 days notice. I wanted a real wildcard and unexpected fighter to make it more interesting.

Like your writeup and takes here. Obv very surprised by the Safarov pick as seems like a serious dog and no way can win on the feet. Marquez has had a lot of time off and Safarov has only 1 weak win in ufc. Is Marquez tdd really that bad? Also very surprised by ur Mckenna pick being so easy as most ppl have Hansen as better wrestler. If stays on the feet seems like real tossup as do all 3 wmma fights on this card for me.

That's what I was thinking as Safarov only has 1 win in UFC. But someone else was saying Marquez has no tdd and can easily grab his leg. Just wondering your thoughts on the wrestling here? Think the concensus obv is if standing Marquez wins easily as you also pointed out.

Mayes vs. Martinez
Don'Tale Mayes, DEC
Hard to find reasons to like Martinez here. He has the edge in experience and has beaten at least as tough of opponents as Mayes has, however, the size and reach and power differences are in Mayes favor here and are hard to ignore. I'm saying Mayes by decision.

My two favorites at this event!

Mayes vs Martinez
Don'Tale Mayes, TKO, R1
The American is going to be huge compared to Martinez.

Marquez vs Safarov
Marquez, TKO, R2
Marquez is fresz and Safarov is a pickle.

Felder has never been finished in his pro career, that said he has mainly fought strikers. I doubt a submission in round 1, Felder is tough as they come. It's gonna be a 5 round war.
