Rafael dos Anjos, TKO, R3
I've got my helmet strapped on and my short bus ticket painted in crayon, I'm ready to go to Idiotville to run for mayor.
Look, can Islam take RDA down like Kamaru, Colby, and Chiesa did? I mean probably, I'd bet on it. But not at ******* -550. Go straight to hell with those odds, do not pass go do not collect $200. Islam's last 4 UDs resulted in a TOTAL of 112 strikes while he was riding top position for a ******* HOUR. Man is not Khabib, I don't care what anyone at AKA says, and I refuse to take Khabib odds on his ****** mutant clone.

Abdul Razak Alhassan, TKO, R1
I bet against Alhassan in the Mounir Lazzez fight because I saw the same truth that I see with Khaos. Y'all are good fighters but you trust your power so much that when it doesn't land you just look like a lost puppy. This is a great fight to make because both of these guys are power punchers with different styles. Alhassan likes to wait and explode or counter, whereas Khaos (true to his) name just gnaws at the bit trying to swing leather. Outside of that, the real difference is that Alhassan comes from a good camp with good training parnters and a very cerebral coach. Khaos is just gonna press and try to land on the button, Alhassan is gonna get there first. Alhassan by KO is pretty close to a lock, but I also said that about Thiago last week. The real lock is this fight doesn't go the distance.
Marquez vs. Safarov
Saparbeg Safarov, DEC
I'll wait until the scale tips for both of these guys before placing bets. Safarov looks better at 185 IMO, and Julian cuts a bit too much for 185 from what I've seen. It's good value to pick Safarov here because Julian Marquez, so far looks like he couldn't keep a chihuahua off his leg. But Marquez is a green fighter still and Syndicate has a lot of good wrestlers so he might be working on that. Hard on to pick with a lot of confidence. Wrestling edge to Safarov, neck attacks and striking edge for Julian.
Mayes vs. Martinez
Don'Tale Mayes, TKO, R2
This is gonna be a weird one folks. Mayes "should" get the KO here, Roque is good and knows how to fight as the shorter man, and I'll go watch some more of his tape in RIZIN, but from the two fights I've watched, he doesn't have the type of power the Mayes does. I expect Mayes to make Martinez pay as he makes his way in at some point in the fight.
Arroyo vs. Anders
Eryk Anders, TKO, R2
I watched a lot of tape on Antonio Arroyo. And I see the kicks that people have pointed out, and his south-paw body/head kicks are awesome. Great power and placement. And against Anders who's also a southpaw that could very easily transition into nasty leg kicks on Anders' lead leg. However, while Arroyo may look great as the hammer, he looks awful as the nail. He wilts from pressure and gets exhausted from failed takedowns. Anders has good takedowns and and explosive overhand (the perfect counter to naked leg kicks). I think both men have cardio issues, but I more or less expect Arroyo's lack of boxing setups to have him end up like Tim Williams and eat a stiff left from Anders that sits him down as he tries to throw a kick. But really it will all come down to who is pressuring who in my opinion.
Hansen vs. McKenna
Cory McKenna, DEC
This one is pretty easy pick for me. Hansen is the stronger girl, but McKenna has better cardio and wrestling in my opinion. Kay isn't a busy fighter and isn't that comfortable at range. I expect here to win a clinchy first round and then drop the next two to McKenna as she stays busier. Look for a lot of failed TDs from both parties here as there wrestling counters each other out.
Yoder vs. Granger
Ashley Yoder, DEC
This will be a boring fight. Yoder will win on the ground and Granger will win at the distance. Expect a Claudia Gadelha like performance from Yoder that ekes out a win.

I mean, Smolka vs Quinonez is a decent undercard fight, Alhassan is a dynamic fighter, McKenna vs Hansen is a cute fight between fighting teenagers, and Marquez vs Safarov will probably be a lot of chaotic fun, but what is the « biggest fight on the card ? Anders vs Arroyo ? Outch.
I really hope Chandler can fight RDA, because that will be a very interesting test. But whoever the replacement at this point, I just hope RDA saves the card with a feel good win vs whoever short notice opponent.

Agreed! Some of the best fights I've watched have been amateur fights between two fighters I hadn't heard of before. Plus, there have been loads of times when I've got hyped for a big fight between two big name stars and it turns out to be disappointingly anticlimactic. You never know which fights will be great and which will be crap.
