I'm pretty torn on the Perry/Means and Craig/Shot-Gun Rua matchups.

Perry doesnt seem to be taking his MMA career serious anymore...no cornermen...missing weight...punching old guys...beating women....and whatever else he is doing. Tim Means has a buttery soft chin that is just ripe for the cracking. Tim Means was on the first ever UFC card that I watched with friends so I'm gonna let mynostalgia get the better of me and take Means here.

Paul Craig is fired up at every faceoff...then when he gets into the cage he fails to deliver. Sure he submitted antigulov last time out....but he was getting rocked socked and shut down in the shop...Antigulov had the man bleeding on the mat but he has no ring IQ and put himself in the 1 thing that Craig excels at....those triangle submissions.

Shot-Gun (yes he is shot dont @ me) just went 3 old man rounds with lil nog and both of them had me wondering why Dana hasnt pulled out his go to line lately..."I'm never letting this man fight again".

People are saying this card isnt PPV worthy but it really has some good matchups. The only fight I'm not interested in seeing on this card is Calvillo vs Chookagian.

Shevchenko vs. Maia
Valentina Shevchenko, SUB, R3
Who care TBH, Shevshinko doesn't take risk and is fighting a can, Female Mighty Mouse anothe boring fighter, Wake me up when she fight the female Henry Cejudo

Moreno vs. Royval
Brandon Moreno, SUB, R2
The best or best fight on the card thats not the main event. Hard fight to pick because Rovyal is the flyweight Tony Fergoson( crazy **** and tons of risk) And Brandon Morono look really good in his last few. Think Morono is gonna do what Gaeche did to T-Ferg to Rovyal but im Not confendent at all

Jouban vs. Gooden
Jared Gooden, TKO, R1
Think Jouban is old at 39 years old and his last fight was 16 month ago and his last non Ben Saunders win was 4 years ago in Mike Perry, Don't know anything about Jared Gooden so take this pick with a grain of salt but he has a lot of finishes also

Daukaus vs. Stoltzfus
Dustin Stoltzfus, DEC
Might put a bet on Stoltzfus even I think he gonna lose because +255 for a competive fight like this one is a joke. +255 mean Stoltzfus has no chance and that ******** because if the conteder Series guy didn't get injured he probley would of got a propler finish and the fight be +150 where it should be because both guys are really simular, I slight edge Daukous because he look really good agaist the flash Brandon Allen,But then Again Brandon Allen look horrible agaist Strickland

Don't know if it just a coicedence, But when Mighty Mouse left the UFC, the flyweight got intresting but I think he the reason Flyweight was boring, Cejhdo, Figurada and Rovyal are doing more to make the division intresting

Figueiredo vs. Perez
Deiveson Figueiredo, SUB, R2
perez has looked really good since the benavidez loss, but i think "the last alcantara" can handle him in similar fashion. perez shoots but loses the scrambles.

Shevchenko vs. Maia
Valentina Shevchenko, DEC
maia is built for 5 rounds and i think val will respect that.

Perry vs. Means
Mike Perry, TKO, R1
mike perry gonna come out fighting for his job and his son's future.

Chookagian vs. Calvillo
Cynthia Calvillo, DEC
not sure chookagian can keep calvillo outside and avoid staying off her back.

Rua vs. Craig II
Maurício Rua, DEC
shogun has been performing reasonably well for this stage in his career and i was ready to put the nail in him after osp. craig... can finish but otherwise can lose pretty much any fight you line him up with. idk if he'll catch shogun.

Moreno vs. Royval
Brandon Royval, SUB, R2
neither guy has been finished, but i'm pickin against that trend. royval has really impressed me and i'm gonna ride the train til it stops.

Buckley vs. Wright
Joaquin Buckley, TKO, R1
thinking the height difference actually hurts wright here, not sure he can keep buckley outside boxing range.

Shevchenko vs. Lipski
Antonina Shevchenko, DEC
idk what to make of this one, but i'll go with a happy night for the schevchenko family.

Dalby vs. Rodriguez
Daniel Rodriguez, DEC
rodriguez has the momentum and that's what i'm going with. just seems to command the fight better i guess.

Jouban vs. Gooden
Alan Jouban, DEC
kinda feels like a tune-up for jouban in terms of competition level, but i won't be surprised if gooden makes it more interesting.

Daukaus vs. Stoltzfus
Kyle Daukaus, DEC
idk if i'm sold on daukaus as some premiere grappler, but i don't have enough confidence in stoltz's competition level to say he'll avoid the grind.

Cosce vs. Palatnikov
Louis Cosce, TKO, R2
i can't find enough reason to pick sasha so i'm gonna go with consenus cosce ko.

I'm fully on the Tim Means train for tomorrow. I had money on Perry against Gall, and lemme tell you, from that perspective, that was a scary fight to watch. He seemed like he only had a few explosions per round and had to conserve energy. Had Gall been a real UFC fighter who could fill that empty time with leg kicks and jabs, those are suddenly very close rounds. That was a very unconvincing 30-27.

I think it's clear to all of us that Perry is on a path that leads to bad losses and potentially getting cut if he doesn't change something. Well... missing weight by nearly six pounds while ****posting on Twitter about the weight cut after your second camp without a coach is looking like that **** is catching up.

I don't think Means has as soft a chin as people are saying. He's hung in there with top fighters, and snatched a win against a top prospect last time out. He'll have a big reach advantage, and will probably want it more. If he can survive an early onslaught from a desperate Perry, I think he'll run away with a decision or late submission. Grab him at +110 and throw him in a parlay with Deiveson and Jouban.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 3086th

Figueiredo vs. Perez
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R1
Perez is a good fighter and I initially thought he was pretty live. However, some of the peripherals on Figs (knockdown rate; striking efficiency above expectation) are nutty. Perez hasn't fought in this rarified air yet. I know, not sexy, but Figs R1 KO.

Shevchenko vs. Maia
Valentina Shevchenko, TKO, R3
The feet ultimately is where Maia is outclassed. She could potentially grapple with Bullet evenly, but hasn't gotten a TD in four of five fights, and would need one to get there. Feet will be ugly. Shevchenko's striking is A+++ and Maia's is even C- for just women's flyweight. Think damage adds up.

Perry vs. Means
Tim Means, DEC
Perry is tough, but this will be tough to watch as well. He's lost, the GF corner thing is ridiculous, and he dropped a round to Mickey Gall. All of Perry's data that people like him in this fight for--that guy is gone. He's a psychopath now. Means is more sensible and a better all around MMA fighter--WITH A CORNER. Perry is a bad bet even if he 1hKO's.

Chookagian vs. Calvillo
Cynthia Calvillo, SUB, R2
Chookagian spends a lot of time on the mat for someone to never be submitted. Think that changes here. Calvillo should have top control a lot of this fight to work in sub attempts. Chook should just retire and become a Mom like she wants.

Rua vs. Craig II
Maurício Rua, DEC
Highway robbery this even has to happen again. Craig is a committed fighter with one strategy--sub from bottom. It loses him plenty of fights and decisions. Paying for him as a favorite on DFS websites is gross. Shogun by ugly top control.

Moreno vs. Royval
Brandon Royval, SUB, R3
Moreno's got no pop, which means the reckless Royval probably just eats some punches en route to causing havoc. His cardio is insane, and his pace drowns people. Royval also has great grappling chops and more power than you think. Believe Moreno to be horribly overrated, and Royval takes his spot come Saturday.

Buckley vs. Wright
Jordan Wright, TKO, R1
Man...some of these articles about Buckley have been hilarious. He's still unverified with 7k Twitter followers, but believes himself to be a star. Wright came in on short notice and knocked out someone 20 pounds heavier. He's got crazy power too, and Buckley has yet to show the ability to connect with his HANDS often enough to take him here. Hype train crashes.

Shevchenko vs. Lipski
Ariane Lipski, SUB, R1
Shevchenko either points from the outside, or Lipski secures a quick sub. Never great to get throughly outgrappled by Katlyn Chookagian. That fight didn't stay standing long enough to prove "Pellet" Shevchenko has any chops near her sister either.

Dalby vs. Rodriguez
Daniel Rodriguez, TKO, R1
Dalby was super interesting to me...until I saw him get dropped and controlled by Ronson. Losing to Sobatta and Cummings is getting worse by the second as well. Rodgriguez is a well-rounded guy with swagger that's vaulting up the rankings. Tough draw for a dude turning into a tube man by a grappler.

Jouban vs. Gooden
Jared Gooden, TKO, R1
I can't believe people are picking 38 year old Alan Jouban comfortably in this fight over an electric, explosive athlete. The UFC is not kind to stars of the past. Athleticism knocks out talent here.

Daukaus vs. Stoltzfus
Kyle Daukaus, SUB, R1
Daukaus taking Allen to a split decision in HIS domain on short notice is one of the best losses in all of 2020 in the UFC. Gigantic leap down to Stoltzfus here. Think Daukaus family ends 2020 4-4 on impressive octagon showings.

Cosce vs. Palatnikov
Louis Cosce, TKO, R1
Not sure how Palatnikov earned this ticket. There will be a mammoth sum of money betting against Cosce at some point just from someone surviving with their chin. Don't think it's Palatnikov. Prospect fight, never really know.
