Gotta go with RV4 with this one. With Haney, garcia, Shakur getting most of the spotlight Villa is being slept on. Villa beat both Haney and Shakur in the amateurs too.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 7 Winners, 2 Perfect, 395 Points   |   Tied for 27th with 1 other

Rodriguez vs. Krael
Elvis Rodriguez, DEC
Elvis is back in the building!!!! This kid Elvis Rodriguez has had 3 back to back to back KO of the year contenders!!!!  He definitely has a lot of potential. He is not just a power puncher either, he has a long and successful amateur career and you can see that he has solid fundamentals in setting up his shots. The fact that his last 4 KO's are by Left Hook, Body Shot, Straight Right and a Power Jab show that he has a full arsenal.
He is now at the stage of his career where its time to take a step up in competition. You wouldn't think it by looking at the 17-16 record but Cameron Krael is a step up. He is the definition of a savvy vet! He has defeated many a young prospect and he is a very good test for any young boxer. If Elvis can finish Krael it will be a statement. I kinda want to see this go the distance just to see if Elvis has the stamina and the temperament to handle Krael who will be pulling out all the old tricks to try and frustrate Elvis.
So I am interested in this one

Villa vs. Navarrete
Ruben Villa, DEC
Vacant WBO World Featherweight Title on the line here. Navarrete was the 5x defending Super Bantamweight Champ but vacated the belt as the weight cut was too much. He has been 1 of my favourite Champions to watch over the last few years, he has been very active fighting 3 to 4x a year(a lot for a modern day Champ!) His fighting style matches this, he is a combination puncher whose volume increases as the fight goes on. I've seen him throw 20 punch combo's before!! He just builds and builds trying to, and most of the time successfully, overwhelming opponents for a mid to late round stoppage. 1 thing though, his strength of competition since winning the belt has not been the greatest to say the least!!!
Ruben Villa is a very skilled boxer, as someone else pointed out he has a very decorated amateur career. He is not a puncher, not at all! But this is not a problem as he easily out boxes his opponents to wide points wins.  He is going to have to put on a career best performance to keep Navarrete at bay because he is relentless!
I think Villa is a far better technical boxer than Navarrete and he could easily jab his way to a wide points victory. I'm just not sure if he can keep Navarrete off him for the full 12 rounds??

Ruben Villa is very very capable and he was also a brilliant Amateur Boxer with some excellent Wins on his record... Shame he carries hardly any power, to match his fantastic technical ability and slick southpaw style... If Villa can pull off the Win this evening, when challenging Emanuel Navarette for the vacant WBO Featherweight World Title, in his first attempt at a World Title and with Navarette on a crest of a wave with his performances still, since he Won and regularly defended the WBO Super Bantamweight World Title, with Navarette's fighting style, which involves pressing his opponent and trying to land big shots to both head and body for at least 10 out of the 12 Rounds, or until he gets you out of there, it will be some performance... However, for all those predictions that have overlooked the ability of Ruben Villa prior to tonight's World Title bout, personally I would suggest that you re-analyse your prediction, because this World Title fight is definitely Not a certainty, it is truly an excellent 50/50 contest, unless Navarette's power is on point on the night and Villa can't take an heavy flush shot and follow up flurry!! Excellent Fight and Fightcard put on by Top Rank too πŸ‘πŸ‘giving a number of young prospects and capable veterans the chance to impress on the Undercard once again... Really looking forward to some excellent action, will be watching the action courtesy of Fite TV for anyone who is interested... πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

Shame that there is always a strong favourite... Did OK with Babic and Buatsi the other evening though... Yeah underdogs are very very hard to find in boxing. Unlike MMA, where there's upsets every event! Boxing is so heavily skewed in favour of the "Home" or "A side" fighter that upsets rarely happen. And the odds are not worth betting on, I mean who wants to bet on a - 5000 favourite???!!!
You are doing the right thing by betting on method and rounds.
Saying that I do really think Villa is a live underdog tonight. For all Navarrete pressure and pace he isn't exactly a technically skilled boxer and his opponents have been pretty weak for World title level, even for boxing!!!!
I am really close to betting on Villa to win a decision by just outboxing and exposing Navarretes technical deficiencies. Not sure though!!!

You know the golden rules, never disregard your gut instinct, especially if you have done your homework, only bet what you can afford to lose, always look to hedge your bets and remember the Bookies never lose overall... To all those who fancy a cheeky punt... Choosing a Round for Navarette to Win by KO/TKO appears to be the best value for money bet... I usually cover 3 Rounds as per my thought process on what I think will happen... In Britain, Villa is a 5/2 Underdog to Win by whatever method, which on a 55/45 / 50/50 fight is decent Underdog odds, but it is not wide enough to go crazy money... I can't see Villa stopping Navarette, unless he has had extra spinach πŸ’ͺ and Navarette injures both his arms to such an extent that he his physically unable to continue, but remember anything can happen in Sport! Villa is 100/1 in Britain across every Round to beat Navarette by KO/TKO... I wish! πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

Radical New Predictions

Predictions: 3 of 3 Winners, 1 Perfect, 175 Points   |   Tied for 86th

Coria vs. Alimkhanuly
I select Janibek Alimkhanuly at -1400. He has a nutty quivering palm death touch. Alimkhanuly won't ruin the chosen one.

Rodriguez vs. Krael
I want Elvis Rodriguez at -2000. He has an intelligent double knife hand block. Rodriguez must coach the crowd noise.

Villa vs. Navarrete
I fancy Emanuel Navarrete at -300. He has a killer harai goshi. Navarrete will likely screw the foe.

Predictions: 6 of 7 Winners, 0 Perfect, 330 Points   |   43rd Place

A great Undercard fight tonight on the Fightcard between Elvis Rodriguez 9 - 0 - 1 (9 KO/TKO victories) and Cameron Krael 17 - 16 - 3, who like Mikey stated in an earlier post, should Not be underrated or indeed overlooked... Krael has found a way to beat some up and coming prospects and he has only been Stopped once, which was against Jamal James, who is a Top 15 World rated Welterweight and that was by a final round TKO in an 8 Round contest a few years back... Rodriguez will be the strong favourite and so he should, because he his expected to Win and Win well and I think he Will Win too... The step up at this stage of his career against an Underdog who will push him and come to Win shows the intent of Rodriguez has a fighter, along with the intent of Top Rank to push Rodriguez towards a Regional / National Title opportunity at Welterweight... The key information for me is can Elvis Rodriguez stop a guy in Krael who is so tough, so durable, so experienced, knowing how to survive... I think after much consideration that Elvis is too fresh, too quick and too powerful, with one punch power, so subsequently, I think Rodriguez will pull off the early finish... But what Round?? πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

What a start and Professional debut from Kahshad Elliott getting a Stoppage Victory inside 2 minutes of the very 1st Round... I had knowledge that Elliott was an excellent Amateur, winning many Amateur titles and that he was thought of as a very bright prospect, but damn that is something of a statement in your very first Professional fight... Shows that Elliott can punch too!! πŸ‘πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

I also thought that the matchmaking and the fact that Steve Garagarza has fought has low as Bantamweight would allow for fellow Unbeaten and well thought of Featherweight prospect, Rashiem Jefferson to find a Stoppage Victory this evening, either in Round 3 or Round 4... A Win is a Win all the same! Jefferson seems to be a very skilled technical Boxer, but his performances and record suggest that he doesn't carry massive power... πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

Yeah, Tapology hasn't cottoned on to the high level amateurs making their debuts. They see 0-0 records not realising that there's a 100plus win amateur record to go along with that!!!

I am looking forward to this fight, Simpson vs Douversonne.
Simpson is the favourite but Sunny is undefeated, the fact he has an 80" reach stood out to me. If he can use that reach then he could make this interesting

Hammering Krael in 3 Rounds is super impressive from Elvis Rodriguez... With performances continuing like that, he will soon push his way towards Contender level... The Dominican can definitely bang... Out of 36 Professional fights prior to this evening, taking on all challenges, no one has come remotely close to doing that to Cameron Krael... Bravo Elvis πŸ‘πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

Wow... Knew it was coming eventually due to how open Coria was to Janibek's sharp big left back hand... But that was an impressive performance, against arguably an over matched, undersized opponent... Viscious KO from Janibek though... Kazakh Style πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘

Predictions: 6 of 7 Winners, 0 Perfect, 330 Points   |   43rd Place

Ruben 'Drac - Dracula (including fancy dress) Villa enters the Ring... Here comes Emanuel Navarette... Expecting a great Pure Boxer Vs Puncher/Slugger/Brawler contest... Can Navarette cut off the Ring enough to land his telling blows against a Fighter in Villa who I expect to move over the first 7 - 8 Rounds quite a lot, trying to maintain the distance between the two... Intriguing clash of styles! May the best Man... Win! πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘
