Hi Mikey1903, the Boxrec Site suggests that the Main Event will now be Sergei Shigashev Vs Kingsley Egbunike in an 8 Rounder. It also suggests that the Ramzan Baysarov Vs Konrad Stempkowski bout will now be a 6 Rounder...I have watched the weigh in's on Al Siesta's Boxing Website and it was announced that Shigashev Vs Egbunike would indeed be the main event...πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

Yeah mate, I 1st seen the card listed on the Fite TV site, where its being broadcast, before it was up on Boxrec.com. It had, and still does have, Baysarov Stempkowski as main event in a 10 rounder.
Boxrec.com does not always list the card in order, I think they go by number of rounds? I was kind of caught of guard by the announcement of the event, I knew Siesta is putting on the Kold Wars series but this event wasn't officially announced until yesterday and the fights are later tonight!!! Plus another card tomorrow! That's added too. So I kinda had to scramble to add the event!
Anyway, it's not really an issue. The fights that will happen are on and open for picks

Nice one Mikey, thanks for acknowledging my comment and responding...Good luck with your picks for the event...I hope some of the Brits do us Brits on the website proud and either get a Win, or earn the respect of their opponent at the very least...I am looking forward to watching Lucas Ballingall, as he his a bright, young, undefeated Boxing talent...Stepping up in competition, in his first real 8 Rounder too...πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

No worries mate

Yeah, I think both the UK lads have it tough tonight. Especially Egbunike, he has a tough Russian who, as with most of the Russians, has a real amateur pedigree.
I think people, on this site anyway! Are a bit too confident in Ballingal. I know he has the better looking record. But, as I'm sure you know, doesn't always tell the full story.
I think the UK guys getting over to Belarus was a last minute thing too! So thats another thing going against them.
I was also surprised to see Asina Byfield on tomorrows Siesta card too. Haven't seen him since he lost his British title to Cheeseman a few years back. I thought he'd retired?  He has a tough fight on his hands too!

Of course I hope they all win, but I will not be surprised if they all lose unfortunately

Personally, although in his toughest assignment on paper to date, I would expect Lucas Ballingall to earn a Win tonight...With regards to Kingsley Egbunike, it depends what his opponent still has in the locker...Sergei Shigashev has Not had a Professional Boxing match since Nov' 2018, but he his unbeaten and as a good amateur pedigree to himself...He has a very good points win over Silverio Ortiz back in September 2017 and Ortiz is a decent, tough, solid working journeyman with an half decent 36 - 19 - 0 record...Shigashev also holds a Win over Daniyar Yeleussinov in the amateurs and that was no mean feet...So Egbunike in my opinion will do well to last the distance, which I think he will, but I don't expect him to get the Win πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

You sh have listened to me about Ballingal Jake!!!!  Told you he was in for a tough 1!  Records can be deceiving!! Especially with these Russians who have tonnes of amateur experience

Evchenko Won comfortably, Ballingall lost a close battle against a tough Russian who applied plenty of forward pressure, but when looking closely, wasn't overly effective in his work...I personally thought Ballingall was a little unlucky, but he was fighting on foreign territory and needed to work a lot harder and stay off the Ropes more than he did... It was great experience for Ballingall though and his toughest step up bout to date...Baysarov, well he won but he was absolutely knackered after 2 Rounds, so that KO/TKO finish against a very defensive minded fighter was never going to happen !! πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

See what I mean now about BoxRec not always being accurate. It's not their fault, unfortunately it's a common thing with boxing cards. The amount of time I spend making changes drives me nuts!!! Hahaha

The screen says 8 Rounds and the commentators say it is a 10 Rounder... How many Rounds are we doing, i'm starting to feel confused πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘...It has just been announced that it is in fact an 8 Rounder....Surprised, but Egbunike is fighting really, really well and he has dropped Shigashev, so fair play to the British fighter πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

What a shocker!!!!  Away fighter, Egbunike, drops Shigashev and out boxes him the rest of the fight.
Ruski judges,,,,,,,  DRAW!!!!!!  Hahaha!!!!!  And people think MMA judges are bad, come watch boxing for a couple days, you'll get your fill of dodgy decisions!!!

Shame to see Egbunike get robbed in the end... I definitely thought that Obi did enough to Win that contest...He looked slick, was certainly awkward, tied up when necessary and made Shigashev uncomfortable and the knockdown shot in the 2nd Round was a great punch...He would definately have got the result if that fight was held in the UK and it would have been a fair decision!! πŸ€”πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

Well said Mikey, thats why a fighter should never let it go to a decision...Get the stoppage, as you have to because judging is too subjective, plus in some countries they cheat too πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

I do think Shigashev's time away from the Ring, in the form of having a Professional fight (Nov 2018), played a part in his bout with Egbunike, but Egbunike proved something in tonight's performance...A draw in Belarus is like a Win...It was against an Unbeaten, somewhat decent prospect and maybe with that result, Egbunike can finally get a chance to do something further at domestic British level and maybe fight for a belt, like the Southern Area British or the English Championship, because he definitely has the Boxing talent, at that level anyway πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘

I do not agree with the 'never let it go to the judges" thing that people say after a ******** decision.
I mean, it's a professional sport, you should be able to win a fight fairly. That is like a football match between Liverpool and Man Utd ending 1 - 1 but at the end of the match the referee is like I know the game finished 1 - 1 but since we are at Anfield I'm going to award Liverpool the win!!!  It's mental!!! Hahaha

I know it's wishful thinking but I really feel for a guy or girl who puts in all the work then doesn't get the proper reward.
As my man Big Frank Ngannou would say
This is sucks!!!!

Yeah Egbunike will get another shot, probably in a Siesta show in England. But he'll likely be the away fighter again. That 1st round KO loss to Lenny Fulller is hard to forget. That's actually why I picked Shigashev to get the KO.

Yeah Belarus judges suck!!!  Like you said tho it is all too common. So common that it is in fact just accepted as the normal. You gotta win by KO to get a decision!!!!

Well done Mikey with your joint 1st place predictions for tonights Event, I thought the show was fairly decent to be fair. It was the first time that I have tuned into one of these KoldWars, but i'll be sure to drop in again tomorrow evening, for version 4 and to watch the apparently much improved Sokolowski at Heavyweight, although looking who he his facing, he will most probably lose again...πŸ€”πŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸ₯‡

Bracknell Leisure Center or Bethnal Green for Egbunike's next appearance in a Boxing Ring...What do you reckon...Al Siesta seems a decent bloke and small time promoter to be fair...At least he his trying to get his fighters a pay day and a competitive fight...
