Cerrone vs. Price
Niko Price, TKO, R1
I think this could be a particularly bad style matchup for cowboy. Price throws heavy body strikes right up the middle. Then again, Cowboy has been great at crushing fighters who try to pressure him before with wild strikes, and could catch Price cold with an intercepting knee. I am so excited to watch this one

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 700 Points   |   Tied for 782nd

Covington vs. Woodley
Colby Covington, DEC
Unless TWood can miraculously find that right hand, Covington by decision is the clear path to victory here. We're talking about someone who rarely finishes vs someone who rarely gets finished. Covington wins any decision here solely on volume.

Cerrone vs. Price
Niko Price, TKO, R1
Price has that crazy bizarro-world knockout power and Cerrone is more technical but has been particularly chinny lately, should be a fun fight!

Chimaev vs. Meerschaert
Khamzat Chimaev, SUB, R2
While I wouldn't feel safe betting either side here, there's a 100% chance this fight will not go to decision. I'm leaning Chimiev though hot prospects in 2020 have been choking hard.

Walker vs. Spann
Johnny Walker, TKO, R1
Busted prospect v busted prospect. I hope we see a crazy old school Walker KO here

Dern vs. Markos
Randa Markos, DEC
Dern has a 7% takedown accuracy. Let that sink in. This is a girl that could barely get down Hannah Cifers. If Markos has any sense, she'll keep this mostly on the feet and easily out points her for a clear decision. The question is does she have the fight iq to know that. If this goes to the ground Dern is definitely dangerous

It's CHAOS time. I am super pumped for this one.

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 6 Perfect, 705 Points   |   Tied for 764th

I SEE THIS CARD AS A CARD OF R1 TKO's.

Colby Covington vs. Tyron Woodley
Colby Covington, TKO, R3
Colby is awesome. Expect Colby 2.0 to come out with something to prove and just lay it on Tyron Woodley. Hes pushing the BLM thing big as well which in my mind shows some insecurity coming into this fight, as if a safety net in case he looses, so people will not hate him or reject him. A one time KO is Woodley's only means here to victory but the chances are slim. Colby's gas tank is the best in the UFC and his gonna put the pedal to metal. A DEC is what most people are thinking but I see Colby surprising everyone with a TKO and sending Woodley out on a stretcher.

Donald Cerrone vs. Niko Price
Niko Price, TKO, R1
Cowboy is way on a decline, although he looked good his last fight, which I thought he won. But Niko, the younger, fresher, more explosive fighter will catch Donald and put him away. Cerrone is always so much fun to watch and if he wins it will be quite the comeback.

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Gerrald Meerschaert
Khamzat Chimaev, TKO, R1
Meerschaert thinks hes gotta a chance but in reality Dana and his boys having been doing this along time and can see something special when they see it. They didn't double book him for no reason. Chimaev is not only a beast but Muslim. He's on a mission of God when he beats down and smashes others. Muslims have insane virility as well which allows them to have 7-8 kids with ease. He is not even trying to be polite when he talks. SMASH R1.

Johnny Walker vs. Ryan Spann
Johnny Walker, TKO, R1
Both guys are R1 kinda guys. Walker the KO artist and Spann the SUB specialist. Walker is more explosive and faster then Spann but Spann is good with his subs but his height will be of no advantage because hes 1 inch shorter. Walker by TKO after having been prepped by Kavanagh himself.

Mackenzie Dern vs. Randa Markos
Markos, DEC
My second underdog pick. Dern has some nice subs but her take down % is awful. On the other hand, Randa is a UFC vet with decent wrestling and shes fought some good competition and has wins over Angela Hill and Carla Esparza. I see her taking this one.

Kevin Holland vs. Darren Stewart
Holland, DEC
Kevin has the best, bad ass, debut in UFC history. He went in on short notice and fought the "Hammer" Thiago Santos, in his prime. He has been on a great KO run and has been looking really good. There's always the "Ifs" when he starts goofing around but I don't see Stewart on Kevin's level. Stewart has never been KO, so DEC.

Jordan Espinosa vs. David Dvořák
David Dvořák, DEC
Espinosa is game but Dvorak is little bit better in my opinion. I see them engaging in a striking battle and Dvorak edging out the DEC.

Mirsad Bektic vs. Damon Jackson
Bektic, TKO, R2
Bektic has crisp striking and Jackson is a grappler who is just crawling back into the UFC after a terrible run years ago. Bektic has fought some mean dudes as well like Ige and Emmet.

Marya Bueno Silva vs. Mara Romero Borella
Bueno Silva, DEC
Silva seems the fresher fighter and just beginning her UFC run so she will be more hungry. Borella is more like on survival mode, but I see in her enough fight to take this to a DEC, if that makes any sense.

Sarah Alpar vs. Jessica-Rose Clark
Sarah Alpar, DEC
Every card has dogs winning so this is one of my underdog picks for the night. This match is more evenly matched than the odds let you believe.

Darrik Minner vs. T.J. Laramie
T.J. Laramie, TKO, R1
Laramies style is just intense and Minner has a habit of loosing a lot to guys with decent records. Also Laramie will be super pumped for his UFC debut and will be feeling it after a quick turnaround from the contender series. If I was a gambler I would bet money on this one.

Randy Costa vs. Journey Newson
Randy Costa, TKO, R1
Both like to throw. Gonna be quite even until one of them lands big, and I think its gonna be Randy.

Andre Ewell vs. Irwin Rivera
Andre Ewell, DEC
Ewell is just better. His fight record speaks for itself. Hard to go against him here, especially when Rivera has lost a lot of fights to guys who are now in the UFC.

Tyson Nam vs. Jerome Rivera
Tyson, TKO, R1
Tyson's got the 1-punch power and this fresh boy might be eating it early on. Besides he's got the name for the job.

I think everyone can see the Writing on the wall for T Woodley... he might be a great guy and all. But his fight skills have greatly diminished - I believe he has balloon muscles.  He does all the right things for TV promos but the old T Woodley is gone.   He has to do celebrity gossips and rap game to make money and even B-Movies  but Fighting is not in his blood anymore....

Both look mean, but damn Covington looks super serious. It's pretty crazy that as much as I don't like Colby's persona (he's a great fighter) I want him to beat Woodley up.

Colby is going to retire Woodley. Crazy how this grudge match has gone from Woodley defending the WORLD championship to Woodley fighting for his career, but this is his last shot at staying anywhere near the title picture. After this its just fight night main events. What a great sport. Cant predict anything.
