Barrett vs. Donovan
Eric Donovan, TKO, R7
Another possible upset here. Barrett is the favourite but only slightly. Donovan is coming over from Ireland ready to put a dent in Barretts Matchroom debut.

Courtenay vs. Ball
Rachel Ball, DEC
Little note for you guys to think about. Odds opened Ball was close to 6 to 1 underdog, as the fight approaches its close to even with the Bookies. Rachel Ball is ranked higher and has fought and beaten better opposition, her loss was a Majority Decision in Norway vs WBC Champion and top 10 rated Kat Thanderz. The biggest thing against Ball is the fact that Courtenay is a Matchroom fighter and look at the last 2 main events, both razor thin decisions, who won both? The Matchroom fighter! It has been an issue for sometime but now they are literally fighting at Matchroom HQ! Still, I think Ball is a better boxer and I think I'm going to take her

Courtenay vs. Ball
Shannon Courtenay, DEC
Looking forward to this one. I think this is a good test for courtenay. Ball has beaten and fought the better opposition and seems really fired up for this one. Only loss was to wbc interim champion Thanderz, not bad at all. The height difference as well, ball towers over courtenay which could cause Shannon some problems in the fight. However I’ll be taking courtenay in this one, has looked solid in her recent fights and has got decent power as well. I think she’ll be able to close the distance, get on the inside and beat ball in a close decision. The fact that only 10% of tapology are picking ball though is quite silly to be honest, just because Shannon has the better record to the eye and ball has lost one, it doesn’t automatically mean that courtenay is the better fighter. This scrap is a pick em and either girl can take it

Hi Mikey, the Event doesn't start until 19:00pm this evening (UK time)...Any chance of the prediction deadline being extended to later on this evening? We usually get until just before the event starts!! 🤔👊🥊👍

That's fine, point appreciated and thanks for replying mmalari, but my question remains, if the start time for the event is 19:00pm UK time, why has the Event scheduled time been set so early...We usually get until the Event starts, so as the system been altered so we has Tapology Members have to make our predictions earlier than normal moving forward? Or was the scheduled time on the Website a slight error for this particular event?? 🤔👊🥊👍

Predictions usually close an hour or two before the actual start of the event, so it is preferable to make your selections in advance.
Maybe Mike was a bit hasty this time.

Yeah, sorry about the picks locking so early today. I forgot to edit the time. See, when I 1st create an event the picks lock automatically 4 hours before event start time. I have to change that manually.
Unfortunately, I've been quite busy and I did not notice until the picks had already locked. I missed it by literally 15 minutes!!!  It messed me up as well! I like to leave my picks til late.
Once picks lock I cannot then go back and change the time.
Sorry, just 1 of those things

Should be some solid scraps tonight, a couple of close fights as well. Besides next weeks card, this might be the best one matchrooms put on this fight camp imo. Top to bottom

A fantastic performance from John Docherty tonight. He dominated a fighter in Anthony Fox who was known to be durable and a decent level domestic boxer. John Docherty has a bright future and I look forward to watching him in some very exciting future domestic scraps, as he pushes towards British Title level...A great first scrap of the night...🤔👊🥊👍

Nice stoppage win for Doc there. I thought Fox would go the distance as he's a real good opponent. Always takes prospects the distance or even beats some of them!!

Still happy for Doc, especially since he is from up my way!!
A good next fight for him, I think, would be the winner of next week's Zac Chelli v Jack Cullen fight

Went with Ball here. I don't know though, Matchroom fighters tend to win close decisions on Matchroom cards!!! So Ball will have to dominate to get the split decision win!!! Pretty crazy how Ball had went from a 6 to 1 underdog all the way in to a slight even money favourite!!! That's a huge swing in the odds!!
Next fight too I ended up picking Donovan. Though I did want to change it!! . That's when I noticed I'd locked the picks too early so I was stuck with it!!!

Oh yeah baby!!!!
I was sure that Courtenay was gonna get the home cooking decision there!!!
Was it just me or was the commentary massively biased!!??? It was like Ball never landed nothing after the 1st round and all about Courtenay amazing head movement while she's getting popped with jabs and swinging big rights!!!
So happy for Rachel!!
Next up Paddy the Baddy with another upset, I hope!!!

I definitely thought Shannon won....Close, but that was the wrong decision...I agreed totally with Matt Macklin's comments...Shannon dominated Rounds 2 - 6....Never let Referee's judge fights, they are too busy refereeing..
