I've said it before in my 20s I would have taken a beating for a years salary of course rare long term injury aside its easy money.

Used to do a bit of sea kayaking and got a few curious bulls from time to time. Jab in the nose with a paddle got ride of them 99% of the time. The rest is if I had a fish on the line and yeah, they're more persistent in that scenario.
I'd definitely have **** a brick if that thing got interested in me while in a sit-on-top kayak though.
