Fun fact, in my fifth fight that actually happened two fights before mine. It was right after the final bell though. The cards on YouTube I think.

Predictions: 3 of 4 Winners, 2 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 57th

Ulberg vs. Oliveira
Carlos Ulberg, TKO, R2
I'd feel better about taking Ulberg, if Oliveira didn't KO Jared Gooden last time out. Not saying Gooden is a world beater, but he's a solid fighter.

Bahamondes vs. Gomez
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R2
Nacho should be able to get this guy outta there. And get back on track with finishing fights.

Macias vs. de Paula
Pauline Macias, DEC
It woulda only been a matter of time for Pauline Macias to "break on thru to the otherside" and get her crack in the UFC. (Sorry, listening to The Doors.)

Murdock vs. Saldaña
Vince Murdock, TKO, R2

Macias vs. de Paula
Pauline Macias, DEC
Picked based on Elevation Fight Team behind her. I can be confident that Macias won't gas out, and will go into the fight with a game plan. That's an edge I will always take.

Odds just dropped. Murdock is a dog according to the bookies right now. It's already shifting towards the opposite. Otherwise, the odds are pretty steep all over the place as expected with most contender series. There's also plus money value in Hunsucker v Vanderaa to go over 1.5. I expect Hunsucker to win by shutting Vandera down and bleeding the first round finishers gas tank.

Murdock +130, Hunsucker v Vandera O1.5 +140, Edson Gomez +350. I don't think Gomez gets the win but those odds are ridiculous.

Yeah, but it's usually because he's being the hammer and forcing firefights. I've seen Vandera fight behind his jab pretty well, and I think that will be his strategy here. It's not a crazy confident pick, but for plus money I think it's worth it. And if I lose, it won't be the first time lol. But you make a pretty solid point just looking at their records, Hunsucker seems like a live by the sword die by the sword type of fighter.

This guy from New Zealand is not to be overlooked. Just another protigy of Eugene Bareman and co at City Kickboxing in Auckland NZ who trains hard alongside Israel Addyssanya, Dan Hooker etc. Extremely high level kickboxer with huge knockout power and excellent grappling. He will make a huge impression at DWCS

@bob I'm interested where you're getting your info that he has excellent grappling. Is there footage? That was my main concern in this fight, that he would get out-grappled and submitted.

I wouldn't label him a high-level kickboxer,
low-mid level at best....i did have high expectations because he's a CKB product but he's actually very timid and not aggressive enough if you ask me.
if Bruno is as tough he looks and stays pressuring forward, i think he should win this fight

Ulberg vs. Oliveira
Bruno Oliveira, SUB, R1
pick subject to change haha this is a real tossup

Bahamondes vs. Gomez
Ignacio Bahamondes, DEC
I want Gomez to win, and at +350 he might be worth a small bet. But Bahamondes has fought and beaten much tougher competition

Murdock vs. Saldaña
Vince Murdock, TKO, R2
Surprised to see so many picking Murdock also, not often tapology disagrees so hard with the books but I like it. Really hope he wins, since he thought he would never fight again only a year ago.

Vanderaa vs. Hunsucker
Jared Vanderaa, TKO, R1
Hunsucker has been crushing some CANS. That hasn't always been a death sentence on DWCS, as some regional scenes (like kentucky) are pretty shallow pools especially at HW. But Vanderaa trains with Hendo, who knows a thing or two about making huge men quit.

I also don't see the vince murdock hype, i don't understand why most of tapology is going with the man, especially after seeing his head was literally split in half less than a year ago (due to brain surgery... a place where he's going to get hit at some point)
Saldana is very awkward with his style and throws repetitive kicks but vince in all his fights i've seen has been a very hittable target and isn't defensively sound.  he also seems very prone to get hit and get caught in place and he doesn't wrestle or clinch.
i'll take my chances I see the first death in the octagon.
Saldana by finish
what is the UFC thinking

Vanderaa should win this fight by getting on top of hunsucker and flattening him like a bug via ground and pound... but i have a feeling these boys are going to keep it standing and let it go to the 3rd round/decision.
I think Hunsucker pulls off the victory, he has more speed and higher output but he's very sloppy, much like his eating habits i would assume.
Vanderaa size and grappling advantage will probably be the only reason he wins, if he does

Gomez has little experience with real competition. Not super confident.

Luis Saldaña, TKO, R1
Murdock coming off layoff and from a easy promotion. may get stuck outside.

Vanderaa vs. Hunsucker
Jared Vanderaa, TKO, R2
HunSucker. Never been to the second rd. grapple as well.
