Just rerewatched his title fight with forrest and more impressive his ko of the iceman.
Seems topical as he is in the hof and regularly comments and analyzes for UFC.
How good was he really he survived several fights at heavyweight granted more or less against amateurs.
Then moved to LHW remained undefeated for long time, had some big wins and some lame decisions.
Does he deserve to be immortalized for his achievements or did he ruin his legacy in his last fights.
He loses impressively too maybe bit macabre or dark but I do enjoy the machida fight.
I think he does and only just but thats just me also seems a good smart fight talker.

i always thought Rashad was an undersized LHW and should of been a MW much earlier in his career.

Suga seemed to lose his edge and focus after losing to jones.

If you take away his final 5 fights, he would of ended with a record of 19-3-1...pretty good

Even still, 2 of his 5 losses at the end were split decision losses

I rank him #9 in LHW history

The last 'good' performance I recall from Rashad was his beatdown of Chael. If he would've retired right there I think he'd be remembered a lot better than if he went on that nasty losing streak.

I think Rashad Evans will be in the UFC Hall of Fame sometime soon.

Pretty sure shugah was a PED beast. Dropped off a cliff once USADA came in.

His victory over Chael Sonnen is one of my favourites. Rashad had all the tools, he had speed, agility, strength, and a solid chin. Had some boring fights, his knockout of Chuck Liddell is often mentioned probably behind Hendo-Bisping as one of the most brutal overhand right KO's. The highlight reel head kick (You had to see it live, thought Salmon was dead and I'm not joking.)

It's too bad a lot of people just remember Shadface.
