McMann could actually be an interesting contender for Nunes, if they'd let her build up a couple good solid wins first.

I’m still somewhat of a McMann fan but her defensive grappling is subpar. She’s a wrestler who is great when she’s in control implementing her style and gameplan.  She’s not very good at getting out of bad positions and seems to find her way into some of those positions too often, when it’s avoidable. If she can avoid damage standing (not likely IMO) and stay in top she has a chance but if Nunes gets in top or makes her burn out too hard working for a TD McMann will get smoked.

I’m saying this as wrestling fan and admittedly a guy who would’ve swore she’d be UFC champion. Unfortunately I now see I was wrong in this one. Not impossible for sure but not super probable right now either. Luckily for her the woman’s divisions are so shallow she does have an outside shot. Earning the shot could be problematic.

Yeah I admit it's a long shot, she'd have to get some convincing wins first and improve her cardio quite a bit, which seems unlikely now since she's getting up there in age.

Yea. It’s good she’s been side grappling. She needs to leave some of those tendencies that gets her caught behind on the mat. Hopefully rolling with sub grapplers can help that. Working for takedowns can be exhausting as can working out of bad positions on bottom. Again her cardio is far better when she can dictate. She is at an age where lighter training in some ways could potentially help her.
