Unpopular opinion: I watched the video of the guy being killed by Police. It was outright murder. And I don't care at all. because I didn't know the guy, and I outright reject that the actions of one clearly sadistic ************* cop is indicative of anything at all in broad terms. It's a ****** thing, but in case you've been living in the land of equestriayour entire life and haven't noticed, all manner of ****** things happen every day. So it goes.

That's the reaction and reasoning of a normal, non-socially entrepreneurial adult human being to an event like this. The people rioting are basically the same species of idiots who wept and threw coronations when princess Diana died in a car wreck. They are worse than ridiculous.

This whole debacle has just functioned as an excuse for people to behave like animals and get on TV and facebook. What we're witnessing is the end-game of outrage culture. This is what 'social justice' looks like followed to its ultimate conclusion; mob vigilantism executed by ****tarded narcissistic virtue-signalling teens and maladjusted useless eaters burning cars and waving wine bottles. Not one of of them has any more genuine empathy for the man who was killed in them than an electric can opener.

It's not about caring. It's about being seen to care.

Special congratulations must go to MSM for fomenting and legitimating that mentality too, incidentally. Bravo!  What a spectacular generation of tribal, self-righteous and idiotic dittoheads you have bequeathed unto the world. This is in one respect a work of genius; create armies of useful idiots, incite them to violence, and then cover the ensuing carnage for profit. Sewed up! Bebopalula baby!

Minnesota is a Democrat stronghold BTW. You can draw your own conclusions from that fact. Oh--the state also handed out masks to rioters so they could loot, burn and pillage and be COVID-19 safe. Honk Honk! It will somehow be the Republican party's fault though.Or the fault of whites. Or the rich. Or men. One thing you can be certain of is that  the blame will lay with Fairies and/or Hitler before it lays with MSM.

Who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities. This is an old rule. One people seem to have forgotten.

A man being killed ( murdered, let's call it what it was) is not a good nor legitimate premise for burning everything to the ******* ground--for wanton destruction of private property. Lawlessness, Anarchy. How exactly does looting  a corner store for cigarettes before setting it to the torch benefit anyone or anything at all? How is that sticking it to the cops? What kind of meaningful retribution is that anyway? The answer is such actions have nothing to do with the issue. The issue itself simply serves as a pretext for degeneracy.

Welcome to the postmodern carnival of insanity. Everybody gets a free ticket and attendance is compulsory. Don't forget to grab a double down sandwich on your way through the parking lot inferno.

So that's a no.

Boy, they've really done a number on you. I can't even imagine what it must be like to be caged in mind that sees mass shooters everywhere.

Is that really your world view? A binary of Good people who loot and riot and people who condemn them who are mass shooters?

Jaysus.

Edit: I don't know who or what Mr Roof is. One of your stuffed animals?

It is difficult to follow a discombobulated mind. I will assume that Mr Roof is/was a mass shooter. Assuming that fact doesn't fulfill my request that you provide examples of posting histories which might indicate that myself or others on this Forum may also become mass shooters.

Surely at least you can follow that? I am asking you to qualify your profiling.

Well, you're the one telling the story.

I know mass shootings to be true. I simply don't believe that there's any correlation between what I wrote and what a potential or actual mass shooter has written.

I think you're out of your Gourd.

But if you're happy to excuse yourself from your obligation to support your claims, then I suppose I'll call it checkmate. It's what I expected.

The country’s police already resemble its heavily armed military. Between 1998 and 2014 the value of military hardware given to U.S. police departments ballooned from $9.4 million to $796.8 million, with police departments across the country equipped with armored personnel carriers, tanks, and other machines appropriate only for a battlefield. Police are also increasingly trained to view citizens as threats and criminals, rather than members of the public they are serving.

@Phil would you prefer to live in one of those countries as opposed to the US? Would you rather have a problem with the American Police Force or Duterte's goons?

i would NEVER call the police, no matter what happened. here in the philippines or in america. do you have any idea how many people are killed during welfare checks? or how many people who call the police for help get arrested? everyone has a limit, a point at which they wont take any more abuse at the hands of police. as for black people who have been discriminated against for 300+ years im surprised its taken this long. the US has become an oligarchic capitalistic country. the big corporations own the government. this only lasts until the people being ground underneath it revolt. did you know that the 25 richest people in america  have increased their wealth by 255 billion in the past 2 months? im pretty sure you have your own reasons for supporting the status quo because you dont have to work, you sit at home and make money trading stocks or whatever it is you do. that doesnt mean you are right about politics or have the right to put down people who are fed up to their eyeballs with lying, thieving, back stabbing, double dealing politicians who have been selling them out for the past 60 or 70 years. or fear to call the police because you are likely to be killed in your own bed by some cop that is afraid of his own shadow and doesnt face repercussions if he kill someone.

Did I put down any Activists? I specifically leveled my criticisms at looters and rioters. I have no issue with activists beyond finding the majority of them ridiculous. But if I wanted to put them down Phil, I would do that, because yes, I do have the right in the same way that you have the right to defend them.

That is what the 'status quo' affords both of us. That is what makes liberal capitalist democracies great. Do you have any idea how long it took us to evolve legally and socially to even get to this point? For  99.9% of the time, the life experience of human beings has been one of ignorance, squalor, misery, brutality, slavery and exploitation whilst being ridden over roughshod by dictators and Tyrants.

Rule of Law is perhaps mankind's greatest achievement. It was not given. It was fought for, and won, at the expense of millions of lives over centuries.

It is a rule that social conditions improve, and do not regress. In the West, anyway.

The poor that exist in the US right now are the richest and best cared for poor that have ever existed. 2020 USA is a Utopia, in relative terms, to Industrializing London. But you won't hear many social activists being grateful that they didn't die of rickets and/or dysentery  at age 12 years after a mudlarking session on the Thames in 1705.

In the context we're dealing with right now I absolutely think they're wrong, because nothing about the data suggests there's systemic racism in the police force. I also do not believe that many, if any of them, genuinely care about the man who was killed or even the issue at hand. It's just dramaturgical.

Even the incarceration rate of blacks doesn't indicate systemic racism. That is symptomatic of generational economic bias only. It is the case everywhere in the world that poor communities see higher rates of incarceration of members in those communities. I haven't done so but I guarantee comparisons of incarceration rates of whites in poor white communities would tally as high or as close as high as to be within the margin of error as that of blacks in communities with identical or similar socioeconomic tiers.

I also didn't say I support the status quo. I simply refuse to entertain the idea that people who loot stores for cigarettes, set fire to care yards and throw bricks at police have the answers to anything at all. Violent protesters, like ideologues, always know whose fault everything is. Tell me; who will fix the world and make everyone equal  in all things? You?

How?

The rich get richer, but fortunes rise and fall. You only need to consider the sheer number of very succesful companies and individuals that either are no longer that, or simply don't exist, to know that typically wealth is relatively ephemeral.

Human beings arrange themselves into Hierarchies, one way or another. This is our species behavior--a law of humanity, inescapable, to which no Historical antecedent exists. If money stopped existing tomorrow, we would still arrange ourselves into greaters and lessers according to some other metric of qualification. This is why socialism always fails, and has never worked whenever it has been implemented--in fact, it has led to the worst atrocities and social depravity humanity has ever seen. It is predicated on the falsity that this rule can be subverted. It cannot.

Jeff Bezos is the Richest man in the world. Here's what Jeff started out with:

So yes, Phil, there are problems with western LBC's. Life happens, fate happens. Kobe Bryant was expecting a fun day out when he got in that Helicopter. Jeff Bezos wasn't expecting the largest net returns in his company's history due to people being locked down to over a chinese virus and buying **** they didn't need from his online supermarket.

On that note; what do you think looting and burning does to business confidence in the districts its happening in? That's after a massive dropoff due to COVID-19?

The looters and rioters haven't ****** anyone other than themselves, and their communities. Bravo.

Regardless, by the standards of all civilizations that do exist and have ever existed, LBC's are paradises. What they give you is opportunities. They do not guarantee outcomes. No system of Government can guarantee such a thing, and anyone who thinks differently is a stupid ignoramus.

Without a leviathan ( a state) ensuring order and upholding rule of law, we are returned to the state of natural law. And believe me, in that scenario, both you and I and everyone else would die like animals, in the dirt, without understanding, despising and being despised,  having spent our brief and repellent lives viciously tearing one another to shreds over what we could grab like rats crammed in a shoebox. That's reality. The existence of an all-powerful state, which the police force are part of, is all that stops that scenario from playing out.

You might think things are ****** now. But that's only because you can't imagine what true chaos looks like in the same way it's easy to take health fro granted until you're sick.

theres a lot you said i disagree with, especially about systemic racism in policing. black people are targeted more than whites no matter what you say. stories abound about black professionals, doctors, lawyers, college professors being targeted by police for being in the wrong neighborhood or for driving a new car. it happens all the time.

the military/industrial complex has taken over american politics. since WWII they have ruled the government and its getting worse all the time. starting in the 70's they have decimated the middle class by shipping good paying jobs to third world countries for profit.

its true what you say about hierarchies, they are a natural occurring behavior. that doesnt make them right or good in any way. how are you going to feel when amazon is the only game in town? where you are forced to buy from it because there is no competition? is that utopia for you? bezos is close to becoming the first trillionaire on earth. does that make you feel good to know that one person has more wealth than a lot of countries?

this is an endless debate with no winner in sight. its been going on for centuries and will continue unabated until the end of the world. peace out.
