Jon Jones asks for his UFC Release

As mentioned in a tweet today after Dana said that he will not make Jones vs Ngannou happen, due to "Jones wanting too much money during this time"

"You already let me down a bit by shutting down this Francis Mega fight, don’t add salt to the wound by telling the fans something that’s not the truth."


"I don’t even make half of half of what Diante Wilder makes. If my reputation causes you to undervalue me this much. Just go ahead and release me from my @Ufc contract altogether. I’m sure some promoter somewhere will be more than happy to pick me up."

They would at least waited till he lost before they released him. The UFC kept cyborg around because she was arguably the best female fighter on the planet. They dont want another organization to have the best fighter and especially the GOAT himself Jon Jones while he is on top. As Soon as Cyborg lost, which they never would have given her a rematch to Amanda Nunes anyway, They knew they could talk all kinds of **** on her. She lost to Nunes by KO and is not the best fighter. The difference is Jones is currently the best fighter. But the minute he starts to loose fights, as any fighter will eventually as they get older, then they will kick him to the curb(Bellator) just like they did Cyborg or any other fighter who fights back against the company. Until then Jones will never be released, short of murder/****, from his UFC contract

I would love if UFC had pure striking divisions dumb ass dana eluded to boxing before.
Boxing, Kickboxing, an even pure grappling they could bring in all the best talent and filter it to the mma side.

One Championship has three different combat sports. Mma, muai Thai And kickboxing

I love that the Muay Thai fights are with the mma gloves

I’ve been watching some submission underground too and enjoy it(not sure how well it would go over with main stream mMa fans

The ufc could have 4-5 different branches of combat but that could lead to too much saturation, although I’d like it.

Boxing
Grappling
Kickboxing 
Muay Thai 
Mma

You could get some real interesting matchups depending on the sport 

As well, some of the older fighters can still grapple without getting more blows to the head, therefore extending their career

I meant Jon Jones could be the ONE Super Series Kickboxing World Champion, ONE Super Series Muay Thai Champion, and the ONE Championship MMA Champion in his weight class potentially all at the same time.
