Before I go begin, lemme say I have a ton of respect for Benavidez. He deserves the respect, he's a legend in the works and has reeeally helped in paving the road for all the little guys that fight today. And will probably end up in the HOF, in my opinion. But...... I'm not feeling this matchup for him. And again, in my opinion, I think he's going to have to pull a rabbit out of the hat, to get this one. I'm not buying into "the head butt" controversy from the first time, he was getting beat before that even happened. Figueiredo just seemed to fast and powerful for Benavidez which isn't a surprise given Figueiredo's previous fights, we already knew that he was an abnormally powerful counter striker. Maybe packing the most pop on shots at Flyweight, now that John Lineker isn't at 125. And then I kept hearing all these bizarre reports about Benavidez going through bouts of extreme depression AND crying spells after losing the first time. And all this talk about Benavidez reeeally wanting to hurt "the cheater Figueiredo" for "intentionally head butting" him. Its absolute madness. And insane if that's Joe's true feelings. I woulda rather him just accepted defeat instead of telling the world he got cheated. It's just his whole attitude and demeanor after the first fight, and I'm not convinced. Neither are the bookies. Joe was a -160 favorite the first fight. He opened up as JUST a +135 dog to begin with and now, he's sitting at +200. I feel like "IF" Joe is reeeally trying to go out there and look to hurt Deiveson, that he's ONLY gonna end up hurt himself. Joe needs to pretty much fight with a restrained and defense heavy game plan in hopes of winning the decision, otherwise he's gonna get rolled up and smoked.
Hermansson vs. Gastelum

Reeeally nice matchmaking here. Like this fight. Annnnnd it's a good flip-flopper for me. I've been thinking Hermansson for about 2 weeks, banking big on the huge size discrepancy between them. Hermansson stands 4" taller and holds pretty much 6" of reach on him tooo. But then I remembered.... Gastelum is used to it. He's ALWAYS the shorter and stockier fighter.

Grant Dawson. He's the best talent coming outta Glory MMA & Fitness. I'm gonna take some crap for that. But c'mon. Someone look for a line to bet on Dawson to win SPECIFICALLY by R2 Rear Naked Choke. That's how he finished 3 of his last 4.

Dude. Why is this fight buried at the bottom of the card???! This one is ******* great. I like both of these guys and I do think that they're dangerous opponents for each other, and that makes it even harder to choose.
