Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 2 Perfect, 415 Points | Tied for 1367th
Deiveson Figueiredo, TKO, R2
joe still has a shot to land the big punch and take rounds, but not expecting him to come in as aggressive as he would normally and i can't see that working well against fig.
Hermansson vs. Gastelum
Kelvin Gastelum, DEC
guess i feel like kelvin can compete wherever it goes. his durability is what really solidified the pick for me though.
Diakiese vs. Fiziev
Marc Diakiese, TKO, R2
big show experience gap along with solid outside striking leads diakiese to victory here i think.
Lipski vs. Carolina
Luana Carolina, DEC
seems lined up as a showcase for lipski, but i'll pick against her here. she's been taken down quite a few times in the ufc and i think it could end up there again.
Pantoja vs. Askarov
Alexandre Pantoja, DEC
wondering if these guys will be willing to grapple with each other, could come down to the striking. not sure there will be a finish though and it'd seem the decision advantage would go to pantoja.
Ibragimov vs. Dolidze
Roman Dolidze, TKO, R2
khadis confuses me, win over puetz but loss to ed herman? totally see why everyone thinks that translates into a third straight loss and i don't see the big show experience gap as a big enough issue to switch my pick.
Dawson vs. Narimani
Grant Dawson, SUB, R1
i do think that a good striker will eventually catch dawson coming in, but not sure nad is that guy. i'll say he lands a few decent shots, but ultimately is stuck fighting dawson's kinda fight.
Alvarez vs. Duffy
Joe Duffy, DEC
still have some faith that duffy can be an exciting staple so i'll take him even though alvarez is on the better momentum swing.
Johns vs. Jackson
Brett Johns, DEC
losses to aljo and munhoz are excusable so i'll still treat johns as a prospect with potential. montel has potential as well, i'm just not super impressed with his ufc victories thus far.
Gordon vs. Albazi
Amir Albazi, TKO, R2
amir seems to be the more durable. the sherbatov win has me interested in gordon, but not sure how to weight it, so i'll stay with the consensus and take the guy that hasn't been ko'd 3 times.
Ramos vs. Tsarukyan
Arman Tsarukyan, DEC
ramos can finish given the right position, but i'm leaning towards arman just asserting a striking advantage.
Spivak vs. Felipe
Sergey Spivak, SUB, R2
initially wanted to take felipe because he just looks like another bigfoot silva type monster, but his competition has been very mediocre so i'll take the guy that has at least gone 15 with tybura.

Joseph Benavidez, SUB, R3
Figueiredo is too big, too powerful for Joe. In the first fight, he ate some heavy shots from Joe like it was nothing. For Joe to win, he has only one way and that's for it to go to a decision. However, I don't see that happening. Figueiredo by Ko/submission.
Hermansson vs. Gastelum
Jack Hermansson, DEC
Lot of people behind KG because he's been on a 2 fight loss streak and so people think that this time he is motivated and desperate to go for the win. He might be motivated but Jack Hermansson has the height and reach advantage, with excellent grappling and submission threat.. and KG's takedown defense is only 62%. KG's boxing skills is elite level but I don't see him knocking out a prime Hermansson. The way I see this going is Hermansson winning the fight with a decision.

but you selected "Joseph Benavidez, SUB, R3"
Does this mean it's going to be a draw?
Is this what you're saying?? Are you telling me I should bet my right arm and my wife on a draw??
Because I will!

Luana Carolina, DEC
I'm sold on Carolina's UFC debut... Such a forward pressure fighter with volume.. she made 100+ strikes in her debut. Lipski is 1-2 in UFC and she has a minus is strike landed and strike absorbed per minute. So with a fighter like Carolina, she is gonna lit up lipski. Carolina by decision 30-27

The rest are hedged based off weigh ins, new information, analytical thinking.
I like that the Gordon/Albazi fight is at bantamweight. Hopefully it improves Gordon’s chin quality. Gordon has amazing striking. They’re both slick on the ground. I Luke everything I see from Gordon. Jose Torres was dropping Albazi. Gordon is chinny but his striking and ground game are elite. I like high length and his speed at dog money
I was on Figuerido in their first fight in February. Cashed that bet. I really like Benavidez in this fight. The odds are way off. 4th time gonna be a charm for Joe B
Hermansson has longer reach, throws more volume, better ground game. He’s the hungrier of the two. Kelvin has power but he’s already been at the pinnacle fighting for the belt. You never know where he’s at mentally. Sometimes he looks on/off.
Alvarez huge for the weight class. Has an awesome ground game, good stand up, terrible takedown defense. Duffy never lived up to his potential. Talking about retirement, has a new kid, fights every 18 months. Alvarez for the upset
Carolina throws more volume then Lipski. Lipski throws with more power but power fades. Line opened pick em. I’m not high on the Instagram model Lipski. I’m
Betting the underdog at even odds.
Ibragimov going against steroid cheat Dolidze who hasn’t fought in 2 years. We know how guys look coming off the juice. Ibragimov trains at AKA Thailand with Petr Yan. He’s the younger fighter by seven years that has fought twice already in UFC. Needs to pace himself. He’s very capable of getting this W
