Magdaleno vs. Vicente
Jessie Magdaleno, DEC
I think we might have an upset here. Magdaleno struggled to make weight, had to weigh in twice and he really didn't look in great condition. Just how much has his training been affected by the Lock down? Vicente is a dangerous guy, you don't have 30 KO's in 36 wins for nothing. 4 losses, all to World Champions or guys who fought for a World title. I don't know? Of course I know this is a set up for Magdaleno, but I have never been really convinced by him, he's got that 1 big win over an under sized non motivated Donaire then he was schooled by Isaac Dogboe, who???? Exactly!!! Anyways, I'm still gonna pick Magdaleno but if Vicente lamps him I'll be back to say "Told ya so!!!"

Mondragon vs. Sanchez
Eric Mondragon, TKO, R2

I'm still trying to figure out what it is about this guy (Magdaleno). Because I don't see what everyone else apparently sees. I'd consider him to be rather average. Maybe at the top of the heap, of the average crop of talent.

Magdaleno TKO, R9

His opponent, Dominican-born Yenifel Vicente (36-4-2, 28 KO), is really a 122-pound fighter, a 33-year-old who has lost all his steps up. He has some power, but that power has made no difference against the better opponents he’s faced

Adam Lopez vs Luis Coria

Predictions: 3 of 3 Winners, 0 Perfect, 150 Points   |   Tied for 43rd with 3 others

Adam Lopez TKO, R7

Adam Lopez is about as intriguing a fighter as you’re going to find with a record of 13-2 (6 KO). The 24-year-old from Glendale, California, doesn’t have any BIG! wins that jump off his BoxRec page, but his two losses are more than just red background L’s, too.
In 2017, he lost a majority decision against Stephen Fulton in Florida. Fulton, now 18-0 (8 KO), is a skilled emerging contender at 122 pounds, someone who really might be of world title quality. And last November, Lopez was stopped in seven by former featherweight titlist Oscar Valdez, yes, but he put up a real fight, coming in on very short notice and putting Valdez on the canvas in the second round. At the time of the stoppage, the scores were tight, as they should have been — it was a competitive fight that, at least in my opinion, referee Russell Mora stopped a bit early.
There really might be something to Lopez. There might not be, too, but he’s intriguing at the very least, and Top Rank agree enough to have him out here in a co-feature. He’ll be facing Luis Coria (12-2, 7 KO), a 21-year-old also out of California — Moreno Valley, to be exact. Coria lost a razor thin four-rounder to Percy Peterson (a well under .500 club fighter) in 2017, and an eight-round split decision to Thomas Valdez, a better club fighter, in 2018.
Coria really hasn’t fought anyone, but there is the chance that this a kid who might “find it” at some point, as he learns on the job. He turned pro two weeks after his 18th birthday in 2016 and was working with Golden Boy before that first upset loss.

You wanna Bang??? Bro!!!

Predictions: 3 of 4 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 8th with 1 other

@Fish, Felt like I needed a change. I have been watching some old classic Ultimate Fighter episodes and it was a toss up between Andy Wang, the Warrior and Julian Lane, Let Me BANG BRO!!!
TBH, if I had found a better picture of Andy Wang crying his eyes out in a warrior like fashion I'd have that as my new avatar!!!!
Let me BANG BRO is a decent 2nd choice!!!!

Night 2

Predictions: 3 of 4 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 8th with 1 other

Who's watching tonight????

onight should be a lot more competitive than Tuesdays squash fest!!!!  There's a genuine 50/50 between 2 California undefeated prospects, Mondragon vs Sanchez, I had no clue how to pick that?  The odds are virtually even too, very rare in boxing!!!
The main, I already said I think Magdaleno wins but I have a little doubt about his condition and his opponent is a banger, so the Punchers chance is in play.
1st fight up should be decent too. Adam Lopez is favoured, but I feel dodgy favouring a guy because he looked good in a loss, I mean he still lost!!  But it was vs top 25 p4p guy Oscar Valdez so it was a decent showing!  Coria is a young, kinda busted prospect! couple of bad losses so this is his last chance which could make him dangerous!  Find out now!
