Sakai by close decision.

Spike gasses trying to finish Quarantillo and gets a sloppy tko late.

Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R1
Cifers does her best but Dern gets the dub.

Chookagian vs. Shevchenko

Rodriguez vs. Green

D-Rod with the TKO in round 2.

Hill vs. Abreu
Jamahal Hill, TKO, R2
Abreu gasses trying to get Hill down and gets pieced up and finished in round 2.

Chris Gutierrez, DEC
Whoever wins this probably wins it by split decision.

I think that the battle between Quarantillo and Carlisle was not just transferred from preliminary games to the main map.  Who showed a more spectacular battle leaving in a short time and who showed a boring fight with a beginner

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 440 Points   |   Tied for 1196th

Woodley vs. Burns
Tyron Woodley, DEC
i was gonna pick burns, but i'll hedge instead because i see myself finding ways to write woodley off. i do think gilbert's capable though and hope to be wrong on this pick.

Ivanov vs. Sakai
Augusto Sakai, DEC
this one might be a staring content. ivanov always seems to overperform, but sakai is the more polished fighter and i like his chances to keep it striking at range. blagoy is durable though so it'll probably make it to the judges.

Quarantillo vs. Carlyle
Spike Carlyle, TKO, R2
was so skeptical of carlyle in his debut cuz he had been crushing cans, but his debut had me impressed and then cringing at his gimmick and you know that sorta fighter is gonna stick around for a bit.

Roberts vs. Weaver
Roosevelt Roberts, SUB, R2
skeptical of weaver's prior opponents, i'm expecting roosevelt to clinch early and drag him around. maybe even finish with a choke after some damage on the ground.

Dern vs. Cifers
Mackenzie Dern, SUB, R2
dern's striking is still pretty raw so a well timed punch could sit her down, but i don't really have faith in cifers to be able to keep her away long enough to land clean.

Chookagian vs. Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, DEC
surprised to see the picks pretty evenly split. chookagian could stay moving the whole time, but she has no power so i'm expecting the movement to be all backwards and that won't win scorecards. if she lets antonina get close, she's gonna probably gonna get scored on at the very least and potentially taken down.

Rodriguez vs. Green
Daniel Rodriguez, TKO, R2
green actually has had decent competition, but up a weightclass on short-notice against someone coming off a big debut just feels like a lot to overcome. win or lose i hope they hook him up with another fight or 2.

Hill vs. Abreu
Jamahal Hill, DEC
if hill fights technical then i think he can keep abreu back and chip away for a decision, but it could be bad news he lets him get too close. stosic is a freak though so maybe hill will be better prepared for someone he'll expect to shoot.

Elliott vs. Royval
Tim Elliott, SUB, R2
certainly looks like a bounceback for elliot, but you never know with him because he fights hands down and is willing to risk position.

Kenney vs. Smolka
Casey Kenney, DEC
kenney is pretty tenacious and seems durable, louis is potentially the better striker, but is seemingly relying on finding a finish or he'll be on the wrong end of the scorecards i think.

Gutierrez vs. Morales
Chris Gutierrez, DEC
finding myself agreeing with the 84%, kinda surprised the odds are pick 'em, thinkin gutierrez is undervalued and should have a pretty comfortable striking advantage. maybe i'm way off.

All this talk of Tryon as "one of the best WWS of all time" is laughable.

Almost all of his fights are either quick KOS or extremely boring, ******-ass, strategic piles of crap.

Only 3 break this trend in the UFC:

Kelvin - forced to go to the hospital and be rehydrated (doctor's orders), probably shouldn't have been cleared to fight which was obvious by how listless he looked in that fight. I would take Kelvin in a rematch all day long. Had to listen to all the wrestling fan boys/weight-cutting enthusiasts on tap whine about how he was 9 lbs. "bigger". ********. And was still easily one of his most watchable fights because he couldn't lay'n'pray or hold back because Gastellum brought it to him.

Condit - took full advantage of the gifted injury win by sitting out for a year and a half to wait for a title shot against a real fighting champion who actually had GREAT fights, not E.B.S.A.S.P.O.C.s, so that wear and tear did almost all of the work for him (greatly assisted by the husk of Johnny Hendricks having to pull out of their scheduled fight)

And the first Wonderboy fight.

The Choosy One's real resume just does not strike me as one of a "great" fighter.

Woodley vs. Burns
Tyron Woodley, TKO, R2
It never ceases to amaze me what can happen if given just a little bit of time. I mean it wasn't THAT long ago, Woodley was the UFC Welterweight King. But then you sprinkle some of that stuff called "time" and you end up with Tyron Woodley vs. Gilbert Burns??? Nothing against Burns, the guy seems to be legit with that extra 15 lbs... But its Gilbert Burns. It's not exactly the name I expected to see opposite Tyron Woodley. You guys gotta feel that funky feeling tooo. I'm just completely lost on what kinda Woodley we'll get. He is 38 friggin' years old now too. How motivated and hungry is he, to go thru the grind again to reach another title shot, idk? I actually see this fight even tighter than the bookies. Nearly a toss up to me. I just think that Speed + Power + Wrestling = A Tyron Woodley Victory.

Quarantillo vs. Carlyle
Billy Quarantillo, DEC
Well Tapology surprised me a little bit here. Everyone in my circle is completely overlooking Carlyle. Not even giving him a chance. They're sorely mistaken. I'm still taking Billy Q. But I'm flip-flopping picks all week long on this one. 60% backing Carlyle. You guys know what's up.

Rodriguez vs. Green
Daniel Rodriguez, TKO, R1
Isn't it Daniel Rodriguez vs. Kevin Holland?
