If all the UFC fighters demanded more money or zero fights, then I’d guess Dana would have to pay up.

Yeah but it would have to be the majority of fighters which is the problem. Especially the stars. This could get interesting

@Hippie

The UFC doesn't realize that they aren't the only MMA promotion anymore.  I think star fighters are going to abandon the UFC and it will die soon after that.

Borg vs. Dvalishvili
Merab Dvalishvili, DEC
Merab is serra-longo team, running on the momentum of aljo's win. He has an excellent showing in his last fight. WIll prove too much for Borg. Maybe finish him early.

Agapova vs. Cifers
Mariya Agapova, SUB, R2
I like the sound of #1 in Russia.

Avila vs. Mazany
Julia Avila, TKO, R2
Not a good UFC fight. Women's MMA is a disgrace. Only Nunes. Shevchenko, and Zhang are worth watching.

Ivy vs. Aguilera
Anthony Ivy, TKO, R1
Ivy seems to be more decorated. UFC debut for both?

@Tepid, waiting on ONE to get out that Fat Cheque Book and sign Mcgregor, Jones, Cejudo and Masvidal?!??

Meanwhile, in reality, their next big signing......

Sidyotong worked on the street for over a decade. Ran two hedge funds, one fairly monstrous one. He knows his **** better than Dana ever will, really.

Honestly, he could probably pay Jones, Mcgregor, and everyone else on the roster out of his own pocket and not even notice. He probably makes more than all of their lives are worth ever year in dividends and compound interest. He probably loses more money than Alvery is worth down the sides of the couch every week.

That said, I think he's pushing a business model that's kind of unsellable to the West, at least broadly. People like **** talking and drama, and his entire goal is to cleave it all out. He's making the mistake of believing the market is noble enough to care about honesty and integrity over the circus. He's going to be wrong about that. The fact that Mcgregor is the biggest money maker in the History of MMA should be all the proof that this isn't the case that anyone needs.

MMA will never succeed commercially if it is organized along the lines of the Olympics.

A union ain’t never gonna happen because they’re to many stupid fighter who think Union mean communism and that they be paid less now or once they get on a win streak. The only way a union is gonna happen is if Conor use his star power for good and use polition for good and did what Ali did and make a Ali act for Mma

@fishrat

MMA is dead in the US anyway.  ONE can exclusively be an Asian promotion and do better, because those fans understand that it's a real sport and not a WWE sideshow.  I also think Jon Jones would have the potential to be the best fighter ever if he joined ONE.

Think of what people would say if Jon Jones became the first 3-sport world champion.

@Tepid I imagine something along the lines of " I guess Jones really is shot if he's decided to leave the UFC to go crush cans in one. It's a ****show".

That's the problem with American fans, they think you're fighting bums if you're fighting for a U.S. Promotion.  Combat sports aren't supposed to geared towards entertainment, and ducking tough opponents like Floyd Mayweather did to stay undefeated shouldn't be celebrated.  ONE's fighters also seem to be more like a family, that's why there is mutual respect between the fighters.
