I have zero interest in seeing Jones v neither Cory nor Blachowicz while he's still got unfinished business with the second guy to beat him (not counting Hamill).

I would accept any opinion saying otherwise, on both Gus I (which I believe he lost even after countless rewatches) and Reyes, since arguments can be made on both accounts, but I still think he shouldn't be moving on until he puts a stamp on the argument. The second time he fought Gus, dude was already semi-retired and mentally broken from losing his wars with Jones and DC. Don't want that to be the case with Reyes, I want them to fight with Reyes full of confidence in his ability to beat Jones which I think he 100% has right now. If Jones wins, that's the Reyes I want him to beat.

Yoss, I agree with doing it right away. Not only did both the Jones and DC war take time off that lifeline but that Rumble mauling too. Gus wasnt mentally there either at the time of the rematch. I hope they don’t let Jones space it out too long. I’m also glad no ones bringing up the Santos fight. Though it was close it was nothing like Reyes or Gus I for me. Jones blasted those knees into oblivion and earned that win. Though Santos was and is always dangerous as anyone. Can’t wait to see him back. Would love him to fight a returning Rumble. Though I don’t know the timelines.

Possibly not, @Hippie. However, going off history, Jones is a much tougher out in rematches. Jones, “He can try 1,000 times, and I believe I’ll edge him every single time.”. I personally do believe Reyes could very well beat him. I’m just saying insinuating Jones wouldn’t give, wouldn’t be confident in himself or has fear of a rematch is contrary to what he’s shown and stated prior. Everyone wants to see the mighty fall, I get it. I get his past and why there’s so much hate geared towards him. Truly I do. However if we’re being fair and level headed and judging off history he has given and risen to the occasion in rematches. That said, I’m not speaking towards suspensions and whatnot, only on performance based in the octagon.

Reyes beat him once, he can do it again. But he needs to work on his conditioning, or failing that he needs to stop throwing 100% into 80% of his shots. But since we now live in a world where judges score fights like that 49-46 Jones and you can lose by literally landing more volume and significant strikes for a majority of rounds maybe that won't work either.

Jones has become like Mayweather and the Reyes fight was basically the MMA version of Mayweather vs Castillo.

@Swain Very true statement! In his after fight interview when asked about a rematch I believe he said we’ll see what my team & coaches say, I’d have to rewatch it again.. Ur definitely correct, he’s tuff AF & still unbeaten & always comes back better!

I really have no hate for Jon.. :-p

As for my opinion on who won the fight.. I had Reyes

That's because Reyes won. Swain has got his Jones goggles on. And Swain mate I know you know he lost that fight. Jones landed like two decent strikes for a whole three rounds! Reyes had him panic shooting and dropped him on his ass! He got totally outstruck by every metric over three.

Pressuring doesn't win you the fight, and neither does landing a few baby-tap low kicks.

lol there's no reason to lose the rag. Like seriously, explain to me how in the actual **** you can give any of the first three rounds Jones? Like, on what basis? Was it landing less, or getting getting landed on more? Was it eating the big bombs whilst failing to deliver any that even made Reyes react? Getting dropped on his ass? Getting wobbled and panic shooting? Getting stuffed on TD's?

Literally the only advantage Jones displayed over three was that he was controlling the octagon. That's it.There is absolutely no case you can make for giving Jones a single round of the first three.

Even Dana thinks Jones lost. I can't believe he actually came out and said it lol.
