First round of Tournament fights are only one round though. So this seems like a dumb time to do it but sure I'm down

Yeah definitely seems like an odd show to start this on with only potentially four 3 round fights. But i guess it's a start.

well I think it's because it's being tested in Kansas not because it's an Invicta event that we will see this new format so I guess they wouldn't change the tounament for our eyes only

verzosa looked very beatable at times against kenneson, who is certainly an inferior grappler to stoliarenko. plus, verzosa fails to capitalize on some pretty solid chances, which is why i think stoliarenko avoids getting kod and takes this one via submission

Lisa Verzosa enjoys being in scraps and fights like she doesn't give a **** what her opponent throws at her. Her toughness and pressure are huge strengths especially in her last fight. If Julia gives the fight Lisa looking for, Lisa should out tough her and gets the decision or a late round stoppage. For the BW tournament, its anyone's game. My favorites to win are Kerri Kenneson, Hope Chase,Claire Guthrie, and Taneisha Tennant.

I know people either love or hate these Invicta tournaments it seems but they are at least something different. I have enjoyed them so far. The 1 round fights are a bit strange though. But I hate when we get tournaments that last months and we never end up seeing fights/fighters as they move on as well. So I guess you pick your poison a bit.

I've always liked the tournaments although i'm not sure how great this one will be since usually they have girls with more experience so you can tell who's more than likey going to do well. This one however has all newish girls so i have a feeling every fight will just be decisions.

if i had to perdict a winner it would be Kerri Kenneson

Up first tonight, a little Invicta 135lbs tournament and title fight! Oh and Kay Hansen is fighting again, always fun to watch her throw down, which is pretty much every Invicta card.

And DeJesus steamrolls Kennison. Beat her up in the clinch with short upper cuts and elbows.

Guardado gets the decision over Guthrie. She controlled the position for most of the fight, Guthrie probably had better offense, just limited. I was fine with it going either way really. But I picked Guardado so I'm happy with it.

Ottolino vs Chase I thought was the most interesting bout of the quarters. Both girls have some pretty good potential from what I have seen.

Good Lord Hope Chase! Throwing power shots with no care in the world! She easily takes the decision. Wouldn't mind seeing her fight DeJesus tonight.
