At the time of posting, which was not long after the news hit, she claims 90,000 people had already been infected--a massively greater number than what Chinese Media were reporting. She claims there's been a cover-up, and a secondary mutation is likely. Scary ****. Also hearing reports that it's much more dangerous than China has led the rest of the world to believe and that it is killing young people as well as the old.

Taiwan considers itself an independent nation from China and it is but China refuses to recognize its sovereignty and considers it a municipality. China considers Taiwan its territory. China is an autocratic state with a free market system and does not tolerate the Flying or demonstration of the Taiwanese flag in mainland China. I'm not sure what would happen if a mainland Chinese wore a mask with the Taiwanese flag printed on it in the current climate. Even the way things are right now it's very likely they would be harassed. Either way having hundreds of thousands of people walking around with it plastered to their faces would be a huge embarrassment for the CPC and believe me they don't have a sense of humor. About anything.
Brilliant play on behalf of the Taiwanese.
Addendum: Dated a Japanese girl at University who would try to endlessly to talk about how Taiwanese people are basically hideous subhumans. They don't like one another. I've since heard from others this is a common thing and a hangover from the War. Oddly enough Australia fought the Japanese in WWII and if there is animosity down under for the Japanese I'm yet to see it.

Never been. I imagine it's a bit like Hong Kong in that the people living in HK are very very different from mainland Chinese.

Death Toll is likely massively higher than what is being reported. Reports coming in that crematoriums can't keep up and bodies are being burned in fields.

i knew we werent getting the whole story from the chinese government. they are worse liars that the US government if thats even possible. HIV anti-virals seem to be the key. but its spreading no matter what they do. the 2 cruise ships under lockdown continue to produce new cases. its spreading in the philippines also and no masks available here. good thing we got some before everyone sold out. some people here caught selling fake , worthless masks, if it ever gets a good start here it might be time to go back to the US.

Far worse Phil. You gotta think, at least in the states you have rival parties trying to expose one another constantly for political gain. In China there's one party with no checks or balances...total control at every level.

Whoa i watched this English guy on tv interview who was saying he had to make it some crazy distance on foot basically (?) to catch the last plane home but he was at his gf's place ( in China ) and was being all kind of, laid back and meh about it. Nice ..... it will probably all blow over anyway, this flu..... right ?.......... guys?......
