At the time of posting, which was not long after the news hit, she claims 90,000 people had already been infected--a massively greater number than what Chinese Media were reporting. She claims there's been a cover-up, and a secondary mutation is likely. Scary ****. Also hearing reports that it's much more dangerous than China has led the rest of the world to believe and that it is killing young people as well as the old.

Here in Australia they carry ABLV which is like nuclear rabies. If you get it, you're going to die--horribly. No treatment.

Ehhh the spiders thing is a bit overblown. The big spiders can't kill you, it's really just the sydney funnelweb and a couple of others. Snakes are a different deal but chances are if you don't **** with them you'll be fine, however because I live semi rural I encounter them more frequently. People from the city and suburbia keep moving into the district, and they all have this great idea to build chicken coops which attracts rats and mice because of the grain chickens need to be fed, which IN TURN attracts snakes. The irony is it's cheaper to buy free range eggs than to feed the ******' things. There's no advantage to keeping chickens for egg production.
You left out the blue ring octopus. It won't kill you, but it will literally paralyze you for over 18 hours. So if you do get stung on the beach, you'll fall over and either suffocate in the sand, or if you fall on your back, the sun will cook your brain because you won't be able to close your eyes.
Good times!

Honestly, if China does develop the vaccine first and tries to price gouge the rest of the world over it every country on Earth should just collectively press the red buttons.

I was given paperwork to keep in my vehicle this morning. Paperwork stating I have an essential job. I am to present this paperwork to a law enforcement official if I get pulled over.

@free there's different standards of "know for sure" about something.
Let's say I told you I ran a mile in 3:40 yesterday. Yep, I beat the existing world record by a few seconds. How do you know for sure whether I'm telling the truth? The only way to REALLY know for sure was if you were with me all day and had a stop-watch.
But that's not the standard you need to use. It would still be perfectly fine to say you know for sure I didn't break the world record yesterday.

@Free I think what Greg is doing is making a point about ambiguity.
Let's say that someone is diagnosed with cancer. They get chemotherapy, take the prescribed medications, and they also pray every day. Soon, they're in remission and on the mend.
That's a circumstance of high ambiguity. Maybe the drugs worked, maybe the prayer worked, maybe the chemo worked.
Now imagine someone gets their leg amputated. No matter how hard that person prays, their leg will never grow back. That is a circumstance of zero ambiguity, because their are no confounds.
This is probably the single greatest case Atheists can make against Faith, which relies on ambiguity to bolster its claims. All miracles are circumstances of high ambiguity. But there are never any zero ambiguity miracles.
That isn't to say that Faith is a write-off. Perhaps the best evidence for a higher power that exists is that the universe bends towards justice, and that it is ordered. There is no reason that it should be at all. Faith in a creator power is valid. However, to go from that to saying that one not only knows that a creator does exist, to then saying one knows what that entity wants, and what how it wants people to behave, and how it created everything is an entirely different deal.
