The official Tapology discussion thread for the event!

This event already happened should close the picks by now it's been over for like 3 hours or more now

Think it's pretty obvious that a couple guys took advantage of picks locking 2 days late!!!! 2 guys got 14 out of 14 fights perfect!!!  I know guys can hit a tonne of perfects 1 event but 14 outta 14!!! Yeah ok good 1!  You guys must just be real good!

Yeah.  It's kinda the guy who created the evnts fault too though.  I mean it was clear that Pancrase was on Sunday, it's on Fight Pass for ****s sakes!!!  Honestly, some editors make some rookie errors!  I know I aint perfect, but I try.  I am constantly updating my events, I feel as though I am never off this site or BoxRec just constantly updating ****!!!

The same ******** happened recently, to another card. And I thought it was a bigger cards, one of Bellator's Euro cards or something... They left the deadline open until it aired on Paramount, when the event happened the day before. T think it was the last card in Israel or some ****. And guys were hitting perfect picks 100% of the time. Gregory busted them tooo and the one idiot tried lying his way thru. It's ******* ********. Being allowed to make picks AFTER the event already happened, probably pisses me off MORE than when a pick deadline closes 36 hours before the event starts. Makes me blow a ************* gasket. Fly off my ************* rocker. Flip ************* ****, whatever you like to use.

haha!  **** mate!  I thought I was raging with my rant to you earlier but these picks have got you steaming huhj!!!  
You're right about the Bellator Israel card, and it bugged me a little too.  Even though I won the event.  But those 1st 4 fights, I think it was 4 maybe 3?, anyway I got 1 out of 3 correct but guess who got them all right?  That's right ******* Hunter!  The guy who pipped me to the post in that game on the very last fight, the Jacare 1 remember?  So if he got those picks right because he knew the results then he beat me unfairly!

I don't know how I feel about it though.  Because if you tell Greg, then the events will all just start getting locked 24 hours early, like what now happens with ONE Championship, which I do not like as I like to have a look over my picks after weigh ins.

What needs to happen is the fight editors need to pull their finger out and stop making so many mistakes!!  Yes, I am 1 of the Fight Editors, but I think I do an OK job at keeping things accurate, I am on BoxRec and this site 24/7 it feels because cards change so much right up until the last minute so I am constantly making alterations.  But yeah, an event that is listed on UFC Fight Pass should have the correct start time.  There have been a few instances recently, like the Future FC card wasn't uploaded until a day before the event meaning most people didn't get to pick, also a whole ACA card was mixed up with a GFC card!  And don't get me started on the Big Boxing shows with all the missed fights and wrong info!!!

Anyway, I know personally it's a lotta info to keep track of so I don't want to have a go and I would like to stick up for my fellow editors because it is a time consuming, thankless task.  There is more important things than making picks.  Accuracy is my main thing!  The data should at least be accurate

I understand... Maybe a little unnecessary of a rant., I should be allowed to blow a gasket just once. Sorry.

Yeeeeaah but you vent to me privately. I let it all hang out for everybody's eyeballs to see... Whoops

The two people who cheated have been reset to have all incorrect picks for this event.

@mikey you are very dedicated and thorough which is why it's awesome to have you on the team!

but it's not easy to do this for international cards without making mistakes. it can be confusing with the time zones and the translation, etc. and mistakes are just part of what happens with this many events every weekend.  if something like this happens again be sure to drop a message into the "contact tapology" box so that we see it.

The only promotion we're explicitly locking early is ONE. They've burned us multiple times with clearly wrong posted start times. So we don't know what else to do.

Like I said earlier in the thread I understand it can be tough to keep on top of everything and mistakes can be made.  I do say to people, that if they spot a mistake they should contact Tapology direct instead of posting in the discussion threads, which most tend to do, because it likely won't be seen.  The only reason I see them is because I pick the majority of events and I am never off this site!  ha
