Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 1165th

Lee vs. Oliveira
Kevin Lee, DEC
We all hoped that Lee would fight Makachev but thinking about it this is the next good match up. Oliveira on a tear right now, whilst lee is looking like a new force at tristar. Gonna be a great fight but I think Lee takes it as he is the overall better fighter who has fought the better opposition.

Walker vs. Krylov
Johnny Walker, TKO, R3
I got Walker via TKO early round 3. I think he will be wary about Krylovs power early on and will keep tight on his defence. He has also moved to Tristar so I believe he will look an overall better fighter and won’t go in like a reckless lunatic like he used to do.

Zaleski vs. Kunchenko
Alexey Kunchenko, DEC
Kuchenko Decision . Overall the better fighter who was previously undefeated before losing his last fight. I feel he will wear zaleski out and grind out a decision.

Formiga vs. Moreno
Brandon Moreno, DEC
Morono Decision. Morono did brilliant against the undefeated Askarov and was able to compete on the ground as well as stop most of his takedowns. Formiga has a similar style, wrestle based and likes to wear his opponents out on the cage. I don’t feel he will be able to do this in this fight as Morono is big for the weight class and I feel he will be stronger and better on the feet.

Maia vs. Burns
Demian Maia, SUB, R3
Maia via submission round 3. I feel like mai is not a welterweight. He is a middleweight who cuts quite a lot of weight to make 170, and I feel like this will show in the fight.

Trinaldo vs. Makdessi
John Makdessi, DEC
Makdessi Decision. I haven’t watched a lot of tape on these fighters but from what I’ve seen Makdessi is the better boxer with great footwork and uses the jab to set up lethal combinations. Also, he is on a 3 gift winning streak and I believe he can extend that over the much older and less athletic Trinaldo.

Moicano vs. Hadžović
Renato Moicano, DEC
Moicano Decision. Them this was a straight up pick for me. Moicano all day, he has better footwork is the better boxer and is taller with better reach. I believe he will use these attributes to get the judges nod.

I like Kevin Lee in this matchup. He’s looked great since his move to Tri Star to train with Firaz. Another fighter who has made the move there is Johnny Walker and I expect him to rebound nicely with a TKO finish against Krylov.

Maia vs. Burns
Gilbert Burns, DEC
Fantastic matchup. Both are pretty similar (great JJb, bad cardio...) but Burns is the better striker here, it might help him to get a decision, or even a KO.

Walker vs. Krylov
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R2
Going for the upset here. I'm a fan of Johnny Walker, but Krylov is really tough, I can see him survive the first wild exchanges then start to test Walker's takedown defense, cardio and chin for a late TKO.

The last time Kevin Lee faced a BJJ fighter with a great guard, he lost by triangle choke.  The exact same thing might happen when he faces Charles Oliveira.

Kevin Lee would be really stupid to be willing to grapple with Oliveria, which could be possible because of his ego.

@tepid
and the last time Oliveira fought anyone decent in Felder he got elbowed into oblivion . The UFC is smart because Charles Olivera is great offensively but no heart have u seen the Holloway fight and every single time he get the step up beside his fight with 'most loss in UFC Stephens ' he lost and his 'impressive' 6 fight  win streak he either fighter someone over 35 years old fan favourite or a guy he smash for dat highlight real, His last fight he was fighting Jared Gordon for **** sake . Kevin Lee hasn't been successful all the time but he fighting the best he fought Gregor, Rda ,Al ,Edson.El Cucuy, Chiesa and Trinaldo.

@Thuesen408 Oliveira doesn't really play the guard or a bottom game, he in fact quits when he gets there. Just watch the Paul Felder fight, which wasn't too long ago. Lee's best shot is to play a Khabib style top game, like he did in the Barboza fight, Oliveira may have the edge in the standup (he definitely has more power)

Macedo is hands down the most beautiful girl in the UFC if you ask me, but I'm going with the size advantage in this one. Malecki by round 3 rear naked choke.

Lee vs. Oliveira
Kevin Lee, TKO, R2
I am a fan of both of these fighters however there is a huge gulf in competition quality when you look at both their records, Kevin lee has come up short in some fights and been very unlucky with some result but he has fought some killers. He was beating Tony Fergusson in their fight until he got caught and sub`d with under a minute left in the 3rd round. His fight with Al Iaquinta really could have gone either way and alot of people (myself included) thought lee should have won that, but when you look at the calliber of fighters he has faced compared to Oliveira there really is a huge difference and that why i am going with lee in this one. Could Oliviera catch Lee in a submission at some point and get the win? Absolutely... but i think kevin lee is a very big step up for Oliveira and im afraid he is going to realise this difference the hard way. Given his recent Knockout over Gregor Gillespie im going to say Lee ends it pretty early on again, im going for a second round TKO.

Walker vs. Krylov
Johnny Walker, TKO, R2
This is a huge fight for johnny walker, prior to his loss to anderson all the talk of him was pointing to a title shot in the near future but another loss here would certainly put an end to that for a while atleast. Krylov is not an easy fight, he is a submission threat and has power in his hands and judging by the fact that corey anderson can finish walker with strikes, Krylov can too... should walker come up short again here he will be pretty much forgotten about in regards to title contention but a victory in good fashion could also have the opposite affect and put him right back in contention talks so i would like to imagine that the anderson loss was a big wake up call that he needs to take things more serious, there is no denial that he is talented and has vicious KO Power but he needs to leave to comedic side to post and pre fight and stay focussed on the job at hand. i do think that walker will have learnt from that loss and will come into this very focussed and a first round KO would not suprise me but im going to say he starts a little hesitant to usual getting a bit of a read on his opponent before delivering another highlight reel finish in the 2nd.

Formiga vs. Moreno
Jussier Formiga, DEC
First of all, niether of these fighters are going to win "best smile" based on their pictures...both hideous.... i think this is going to be a close fight, i do like moreno and he has looked really good in his last few fights however i think formiga takes this one on decision, he is the sole loss on Figueiredo`s record and if not for missing weight Figueiredo would be champion right now... obviously its not as simple as "he beat him, so he will beat him" as every fight is different but i think Formiga has beat the better competition and he arguably has the best grappling in the devision, with Grappling being Moreno`s best attribute but still not on formiga`s level partnered with formiga`s striking improvements aswell, i would say this fight looks tailor made to get Formiga back in the win collumn, Moreno is by no means an easy fight which i why i still think it will be close but i think Formiga gets the nod from the judges in this one.

Yahya vs. Barzola
Enrique Barzola, TKO, R3
i liked what i saw from Barzola in his fight against Evloev, im backing him to get it done in this one. Decision is the safe guess but for whatever reason my head is saying round 3 stoppage so im going to risk it.

Just placed this bet. Model MEUTFA play. Most likely my only bet for this card.

UFC on ESPN +28 (March 14, 2020)

Charles Oliveira +110

Risking 2 units to win 2.20 units

Hard to say where this line is going to go. I envision it closing -115 both ways or I see the lines reversing where they’re at now.

I like oliveira in this matchup. I can see him wobbling and tko/submitting a dehydrated 155 lb Kevin Lee. Again, this fight is in

Brazil where Oliveira is from and appears to be training for this camp or a portion of it. I know he trains a lot in Texas as well.

Kevin Lee talked a lot of **** about Brazilians and he’s going to feel that pressure. This is Oliveira’s shining moment. He didn’t get past Holloway in the summer of 2015 at featherweight but he’s improved his stand up leaps and bounds since then. He’s really impressed me at lightweight. Kevin Lee is a great fighter. I like his move to Tri Star but I think he falters here. Not to mention the opening odds on 5 dimes were Oliveira -140, Lee +100. The value is all over Oliveira at +110. I would like higher + odds but I don’t see it going that way.
