It goes both ways. People cherry-pick ******** promotions to earn new belts and badges. If you don't cherry-pick these things you'll get wrecked and absolutely tank your pick percentage in the process. However, if you do cherry-pick events, you're unlikely to win them. That said, there's no point in winning horse-**** events anyway because winning events which feature fighters with no data, tape, or records to their name is as meaningless as winning a lottery and takes about as much skill.
For me to pick a card well I have to watch each fighter's last performance, look up stats and cross-reference them, and think about a lot of things broadly and typically I CBF unless I'm thinking of wagering on something.
I used to write detailed breakdowns when doing this, but since effort isn't rewarded on this site and a post that took an hour to write and represents another hour of research is virtually guaranteed to get buried under multiple posts of one-line low-effort ********, I pretty much just ****post in predictions these days for purposes of comic relief.

That's fair nuff. Either way, everyone needs a hobby. Dude could be a retired millionaire for all I know. Tapology as a whole is pretty bad at predicting fights, and sifting through trying to find really good pickers isn't as easy as looking at the rankings. I look at this site now as a place to record my picks and every so often unintentionally get drawn into a debate over a fighter I like/don't like.... But, there's no way he researches the 50 events he picks each week.

@fishy.... I know you've cut down on your rather hilarious fight breakdowns, I used to look forward to the big UFC cards. I gotta say man.... I miss those. You're breakdown of Tonya Evinger – THAT'S THE ONE man. That **** was ******* great. And it was memorable because that comic relief was a much needed pick-me-up. Cos the depression was eating me alive.... So I wouldn't necessarily say effort isn't rewarded.

lol gotta keep doing the novel Brad, should have had something for you by now but still behind. Cannot seem to get behind the eightball. I've been dealing with court case for a while now that culminated me losing a fair bit of money yesterday. Guy I was taking it to has declared bankruptcy and filed for insolvency, so I lose even though I won. He'll face criminal charges but that doesn't help me as an unsecured creditor. I'll not get back a dime.
Glad to hear you're doing better bud, I know how it can get.

I'm supposed to get banned for my post? Yes?
Sorry to hear that fishy. Would love to help but not able to. New business is still growing and the missus is preggas. Going to be a tiring year. But hey, at least I'm living right.

Oh it's ok Zuli. You can't help me. Unless you're Batman. Or one of your skills is breaking legs, in which case I may have a lucrative contract for you.
Didn't ruin my life but it's not the sort of loss I can just absorb and not give a ****.

Lol. Definitely not batman. And if I was, I still wouldn't be. I'd be off killing myself slowly with a billion dollars somewhere.

The moving of Brunson vs Shahbazyan really sucks. From PPV to a fight night hurts the potential exposure of a rising star in Edman. A lot of cancelled big fights on this card.

Adesanya vs. Romero
Yoel Romero, TKO, R3
I smell the upset here. Adesanya is incredibly talented, but if Gastelum could hurt him, imagine what Romero can do if he connects clean. Round 3 of course.

Zhang vs. Jędrzejczyk
Weili Zhang, TKO, R2
Zhang looks indestructible thus far. Maybe JJ can win the later rounds if she survives the first assault, but I wouldn't bet on it.
Dariush vs. Klose
Beneil Dariush, DEC
Dariush looked like a top 10 lightweight again in his last few fights. I hope he gets a ranked opponent if he can win this.
Magny vs. Li
Neil Magny, DEC
I heard Magny lost his brother recently and had problems with the USADA, so I have no idea if that will impact his performance... But the Magny that beat Condit, Gastelum, Lombard, Hendricks should be able to handle Jingliang.
Oliveira vs. Griffin
Alex Oliveira, DEC
Cow boy Oliveira is so frustrating to watch. He has the physical talent to beat almost anybody at welterweight, but hélas he fights like a neanderthal. I hope he can win this so he doesn't get cut, because he is insanly fun to watch.
Quiñones vs. O'Malley
Sean O'Malley, DEC
Can't wait to see O'Malley back. His last performance was beautiful.
Vieira vs. Safarov
Saparbeg Safarov, TKO, R2
Well, that will be weird. Vieira is very talented of course, but don't sleep on Safarov. At Light Heavyweight, he had fun and competitive wars against Gian Villante (who is now a Heavyweight) and Tyson Pedro. I'm curious to see how he looks at Middleweight.
