I'm kinda leaning Cerrone. I'm not convinced we see 2014-2016 McGregor again, for that time he was ****** spectacular but ever since the Mayweather build up he is a different guy. I don't care what you say 100 million will change any fighter and not for the better. Guy was driven by hunger and desire to achieve, every fight was a step up. This is a massive step down.
Also 170, 5 rounds. Both those factors favour Cowboy. Unless McGregor smokes him in the 1st, of course that's a big possibility, but if this fight goes into a 2nd, 3rd he will tire, he ALWAYS ****** tires! Cerrone will start piecing him up, he either gets a takedown or McGregor shoots, because he couldn't take a TKO, Cerrone will oblige take the back/arm, neck, whatever, mur, mur, mur, mur, mur Tap it's over! We never see McGregor again,

It's because the UFC doesn't care about legitimacy anymore. This is why ONE Championship is going to be the #1 promotion sooner than people expected.

Perfect fight to re-build

I'd prefer to see him do that, versus another Khabib fight anyway. Don't care what anyone says, Mcgregor is one of the best ever, even if he never beats Khabib.

Conor McGregor 2013 - 2016 was pretty ******* amazing!!! I would call him great in terms of a few things, the hype was at fever pitch, he is the biggest star ever to come out of MMA, he made the most money which in turn has helped raise pay checks for other MMA fighters. As for the fighting, like I said, for those years, the rise through Cage Warriors, 2 titles, into the UFC, smoking the 145 division, Holloway, Brandao, Poirier, Siver, Mendes, Aldo is a pretty good run, there's 3 all time 145ers, a top 20 155er, a couple p4p guys and the greatest ever German/Russian ever to do it! OK the Diaz loss was pretty bad, but he did avenge the loss then won a 2nd UFC title!
All that **** was pretty ******* special!
Thing is that's the past and I really doubt he ever gets near that ever again. Like I said earlier I'm thinking Cowboy might even beat him but despite that I can't deny all he achieved

The LW title capture didn't impress me, I knew he'd KO Alvarez. If he hadn't done it, Eddie wouldn't have held that belt long anyway, I believe his best years were behind him before he was on the UFC roster. I like Eddie but he's great at getting starched....I mean really he kinda pulled a rabbit out of his ass against RDA. And you're forgetting the most important part; he didn't do anything to deserve that fight anyway. That was the most ridiculous **** in the history of the division. He earned the fight with Alvarez by getting subbed by Diaz, then getting a rubber match, and scraping through that.
Conor Mcgregor is a good striker who does well against Orthodox Muay Thai guys (which is why he will smoke Cerrone incidentally), but he's not rounded, doesn't do well against fellow boxers who he doesn't outsize, and will basically never beat someone like Khabib. Really any high-level grappler in good condition will control him pretty easily. I actually think Gregor Gillespie would dominate him, even after the Kevin Lee loss. He's got a better shot at beating Ferguson than either of those guys but it's equally possible he gets murdered by Tony.

You don't rate Alvarez either??? ****, for me he is top 5 155er all time. Before the McGregor fight he'd lost, but never been done like that. A sub to Aoki, avenged, all time fight with Chandler, avenged, a decision loss to Cowboy, never starched. That same Alvarez went on to finish Justin mutha****** Gaethje in another all time great fight!!!
Don't you disrespect Eddie, or I'll set his wife on you!!!! She'll wreck those eardrums of yours!!!!

I dunno, I never bought a ticket to the circus. He got shoehorned into a title shot against a guy he matched up well with and overall his LW record is pretty ordinary. When he faced someone he didn't match up well with he got ****d horribly...that fight wasn't even competitive.
To be a great you have to beat the best...and he's not done that, yet. My guess is he doesn't.

Addendum: Don't talk to me about how Jones is a ************* while supporting a ****** who punches old men at the Pub. Neither is worse than the other--unless we're talking about fighting in which case Mcgregor is definitely worse.

Hmmm
Looks like Conor is going for the bmf
There is no other reason to have this fight at 170
Conor cannot win against Khabib or usman
This move looks good because it sets up some fights if he wins
Mazzy
Nate 3
Perhaps a tune up fight and then Drops back to 155 vs Gaethje
I’m not counting cowboy out but cowboy gets hit a lot, and Conor does have good td defence
