Ultimately people born into this new reality would be incapable of producing anything original at all, because they would have been born into a world in which the reality of things became buried under layer s of simulcrum--the endless cycle of reality augmented to fit narratives, over and over, forever. Art produced in the modernist and pre-modernist periods would get ransacked
Culture would become increasingly ****genized, as would people; they would look the same, talk the same, believe the same narratives. There would be far less subcultures, and the subcultures that did exist would be far less contrasted with one another and would become basically indistinguishable from one another. Materialism would be done away with in favor of 'meta- narratives', which would lead to increased tribalism, and need for nostalgia, owing to people being in a kind of information logjam leading to a perpetual state of confusion and uncertainty, which Derrida referred to quite a lot, called 'Aporia'.

Hard to deny they are getting it right IMO. Very, very difficult. Mostly the young people I see now all look like they came out of the same factory. They cannot think of anything original. Consider that even things like Game of Thrones and Rick and Morty are creations of older people....people born before the hyper acceleration of Postmodernism.
If you're interested in this stuff there's only a few people you need to read; Baudrillard, Lyotard, and Jameson. I would probably put Mafessoli in there too. Derrida is very good but I wouldn't strictly call him a postmodernist...he wrote over 40 books, and not all of them deal with postmodernism.
I'd probably start with
