PPV record? Was is not the Live Gate record that it broke?? I heard them mention that.
Yeah, that was great! That is what I wanted to happen! I only wish I never let doubt creep in about Wilder cracking Fury!!! But hey ho, I'm chuffed that Fury done the job!

Pretty sure his eardrum did burst. Very hard to come back from that kind of injury. But props to Wilder for not quitting on his stool.
I don't think a trilogy is warranted. Joshua vs Wilder and when Fury wins I get to watch wilder pull Joshua's plug.

Wilder looked quite gassed early and fury came to tear him a new 1 .
Still it's a bit of a controversial stoppage tho, He wasn't out on his feet when the ref stopped it and i feel the fight should have gone on further than it did a Trilogy should be in the cards for December after Fury vs Joshua in August or July... yeh I'm a Dreamer But am stoned too so GAF

Yeah, I don't see the controversy myself. Wilder took a beating from rd2 on. I actually thought it was gonna get stopped inbetween rounds in the 6th when Wilder was slumped over, bleeding and a beaten man. That last round he never threw a punch. That is an easy way to get a fight stopped, when you stop fighting back!

I don't think Wilder will ever be the same. I think his fall will be similar to Ronda Rousey.

No controversy in that stoppage. His corner saved him from a horrible and inevitable fate. Best case scenario he got knocked out that round. Worst case scenario, he survived and took the same amount of punishment in the next, or the next two, causing irreversible brain damage. Either way he wasn't getting out of there on two legs.
Wilder didn't win a full minute of that fight. He got worked. Bad.

looks like one judge gave wilder one round, thats generous i'd say. i agree his ear drum was burst. he never regained his balance after the knockdown.he looked like a drunk staggering around the ring. it could have been stopped earlier because of that imo.

Of all the excuses, haha!!
Also, rematch clause activated. So expect no.3 near the end of the year, I doubt it'll be sooner than October/November. I also highly doubt the outcome will change!

I don't think it will change either Mikey. That fight looked how I thought the first one would go minus the finish. The boxing gap is too great, that was evident when Wilder threw his signature overhand in perfect cadence and Fury just leaned back from it and barely got grazed. He's got him measured too well now and there's no way Wilder can bridge the technicality gap in such a short period of time if at all. He's a puncher not a boxer.
Switching camps and learning to carry more weight payed off bigly for Fury. Really the one thing holding him back was his lack of a real power threat but that seems to have been sorted. He's going to be a big problem for a long time. It takes some serious sack to pressure a guy like Wilder. Absolutely no way Joshua can handle that **** IMO.
Edit: The ********ing he got had nothing to do with a 40lb costume.

As a Wilder backer.... I also call Extreme ******** on his lame-ass excuse. I think it's a terrible look for him tooo. NOBODY believes that ******** excuse he gave. Not even Deontay Wilder himself. There's no excuse about it. He got starched by the better fighter. Be humble about it man. Accept it, & move on. And you'll be better for it. Keep giving lame-ass excuses, you're reeeaally just ******* yourself over by denying the truth...

Fury should walk out in Wilder's getup for the rematch.
