Not quite sure why Magomedov is the #86 Lightweight in Russia, while Osmaev is the #53 Lightweight Russia..... Any ideas on this one????

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 5 Perfect, 670 Points   |   1st Place

@brad  Osmaev, though has a worse record on paper, has fought and defeated stronger, better competition. Going to decision with Froes, Pirtea and a 5 rounder with Frodo Khasbulaev, top 3 Russian 55er and top 100 worldwide.
Magomedov on the other hand has the better record but against lesser competition and in 2 fights he never got the early finish as he's used to he was defeated on points.
Magomedov is good tho.  For me this is either an early sub for Magomedov or a decision win for Osmaev.
I'm leaning Osmaev at the moment.

Good card this is. Heavyweight fight between Abasov and Kuniev should be good and Sangov, Shervaniev and Umulatov(fighting for 170 title) are worth keeping an eye on. I think Gorilla FC have taken over from Fight Nights Global after getting a big sponsorship deal from Gorilla, a big energy drink company who sponsor Khabib, they run about 100 ads with Khabib in them during their shows! That energy drink and a big 4x4 car( can't remember what type?)  Last event they done this raffle giving out a baseball cap to this kid. When watching I was thinking "what sorta ******** prize is that?!"  Then Massa pointed out it was signed by Khabib!!! Lol  I never realised as the broadcast was in Russian!

But yeah, they've  put on a couple of great shows so far. So much talent in Russia and Central Asia. There's a tonne of guys you've never heard of who are killers!!!

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 11 Winners, 5 Perfect, 670 Points   |   1st Place

Abasov vs. Kuniev
Rizvan Kuniev, SUB, R3
This is another tough 1 to call for me. Abasov has looked great in what I've seen and also trains out of Eagles MMA which is 1 of Russia's top academy's. He only has 5 fights with no amateur record I can find, all 5 are dominant wins tho. Kuniev is very good too and has a wealth of experience, especially in Sambo winning many fights and tournaments and Sambo transfers seamlessly into MMA. He has almost 15 amateur fights (11wins, mostly finishes against a few recognisable names) plus he's from Dagestan which for me is always a factor as there is SSSSOOOOO many monsters in that area! 1 thing I'm counting against him is a loss to Justin "Big Titties" Willis!!! Whatever happens this should be good and the winner will establish themselves as 1 of the top Heavyweight prospects in Eastern Europe

Adamov vs. Vitasović
Khusein Adamov, SUB, R1
I'm not sure what to make of Adamov? I mean he has a win and a finish over Goncharov who was the Akhmat champion, a top 5 Heavyweight in Europe and is fighting for the ACA belt this weekend. But Adamov also just lost to a 1-1 guy and the rest of his wins are against Russian bin men! So I'm not sure if he got a lucky win or if he could be legit? He should be able to handle Vitasovic pretty easily tho but its MMA so you never know?!

Amirov vs. Aliev
Nurullo Aliev, DEC
This fight is tough for me to pick. I like Aliev, he impressed me in his win over Zainukov who I rated at the time, still do. But my issue with this fight is Aliev is more of a 155/170er were Amirov has wins up at 185 and even 205!! Also Aliev is 5 7, Amirov 6ft, so obviously a big size difference! I'm still taking Aliev tho,,,,, I think!!!

Ermolaev vs. Gitinovasov
Abdurakhman Gitinovasov, SUB, R1
Gitinovasov is a Training partner of Zabit. I'm pretty sure he was brought up in that Shoalin Boarding school in Dagestan!!! MixedMollyWhoppery done an excellent video on his YouTube channel about that school. Its wild!!!

Umalatov vs. Novikov
Magomed Umalatov, TKO, R2
This is for the 170 title but I'm not sure if it's the proper title or if its the final of a GP?? It's only a 3rounder according to Tapology but I'm not sure if that's right? Have to ask Larry! Anyway Umalatov looks real good from what I've seen so I expect him to smoke this guy!

My bad, didn't realize there was 2 Evgeny Goncharovs?!  I assumed it was the good 1 as it shows he was 6-2 at time of fight but when I clicked on the name the record is 0-4?!  Oh well that changes my opinion on how good Adamov is!
I thought I recognised Gitnovasov from a short documentary I'd seen on RT about that school.in Dagestan. I thought Gitinovqsov was there as a child?
There's SO So many Russian fighters I get mixed up sometime bud!

no bro, Gitinovasov has been practicing freestyle wrestling since childhood and is very strong at that. He is a world-class master of sports in freestyle wrestling, this is a very serious level in Dagestan. He moved to mma recently

Abasov vs. Kuniev
Shamil Abasov, DEC
As much as I'd like a good ko I think Kuniev is really durable. He did manage to take both Willis and Stosic to a decision.

This is a pretty bad ass card on paper! A lot of big guys fighting! Which is cool for a change. Just hope they aren’t all slow decision battles, and there are some DEVASTATING finishes!! Can’t wait

Bummed I'll be working through this :( oh well, as long as i'm around for the ACA double-header haha

I'd check at 9 or 10 am ET...but supposedly it starts at 11 am ET
