Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar
Zabit Magomedsharipov, DEC
Zabit almost instantly became one of my favorite Featherweight's the minute I saw him destroy, at the time, a 30 fight veteran in Mike Santiágo in his UFC Debut. Then he came back and put on another fantastic showing vs. super tough Sheymon Moraes. And he's continued to put out phenomenal work with every fight after. He's riding a monstrous 13 fight win streak, unbeaten since April 2013. And he's just entering his prime. That's ******* scary. But I'm not sleeping on Calvin Kattar. Flying right under the radar, but he's a stud tooo. This is an outstanding fight. Kattar is a VERY LIVE DOG. He can actually push a strong pace, that absolutely will drag Zabit into some deeep ass water. And if Zabit hasn't started to address one of his biggest knocks, if not the biggest thing against him is his gas tank, then Kattar is surely to exploit that. We've seen him fade in the 3rd frame a few times, but usually from insane amounts of grappling and/or brawling. That's my only question. And it being 3 rounds, if it is... ONLY favors Zabit.

Volkov vs. Hardy
Greg Hardy, TKO, R2
Duuuude. I dunno. I feel sooo stupid when I break down this fight. Because I'm biased towards both. Hardy because of the obvious. He's a *************. Annnd cannot wait until he gets completely smashed. It'll be delightful. Like watching James Vick crumple to the canvas. Annnd then there's Alexander Volkov. Tall, skinny gangly ************. Never thought he was as good as everyone made him out to be. Hes got wins against decent dudes. But he's also got losses, to decent dudes. Not really straight killers or a anything. Just mildly decent dudes. Idk. Hardy early. Without his inhaler, he'll fade and be vulnerable from a Gangly Volkov shot.

Imadaev vs. Roberts
Danny Roberts, DEC
Man. Another tough one for me to pick. Let's be honest, I'm all over the board, picking Danny Roberts fights, and I'm sure you are too. It reeeaally has the makings of being a make or break fight for Roberts' UFC career. And I'm actually leaning Roberts because of that. Think it'll light a fire under Roberts' ass and make him fight. I'm just not completely sold on Imadaev yet.

Herman vs. Ibragimov
Khadis Ibragimov, DEC
Whyyyy? Why short-fuse Herman? He's a **** hair above a shot fighter.

Kopylov vs. Roberson
Roman Kopylov, TKO, R2
I'm a form believer in both Karma, and that everything happens for a reason. For Kopylov, it's missing out on his UFC Debut months back due to injuries. Well now he was rewarded this fight in Russia with a better opponent. Everything happens for a reason.

Yakovlev vs. Roberts
Alexander Yakovlev, DEC
Idk... Am I the only one that thought Vinc Pichel exposed Roosevelt Roberts?

Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar
Zabit Magomedsharipov, SUB, R3
This is a really good fight. It is too bad it stayed a 3 round fight when moved to the main event due to the short notice. As a 5 round fight this had big potential to be one of the top fights of the year. As it is I still think it delivers a solid main event. Kattar is a top fighter at 145 and someday I see him getting a title shot but just not yet. The difference to me in this fight is Zabit's grappling and I have him getting a late finish after what will be a tough fight for both. From a wagering perspective Kattar in not getting his due and the price has value here. Zabit is a risky bet and has no value but I do think he gets the W. So if wagering on this fight keep the amount within reason. I will have a 2 pick parlay of Volkov and Zabit. I will be buying some back on Kattar after getting the first leg in Volkov who I think is a much more certain W.

Magomedsharipov vs. Kattar
Zabit Magomedsharipov, DEC
Zabit is a future champion, there is only one winner in this fight.

Volkov vs. Hardy
Greg Hardy, TKO, R1
I can see Greg Hardy ending this in the first round. He knows he wont beat Volkov over 3 rounds as he will gas out too quickly. Volkov got rocked by Derrick Lewis so i can't see him withstanding a big shot from Hardy.

Ankalaev vs. Lungiambula
Dalcha Lungiambula, TKO, R3
Lungiambula is a legitimate beast, i can see him causing an upset here by huge takedown followed by ground and pound.

Volkov vs. Hardy
Alexander Volkov, TKO, R3
Volkov should absolutely win this mismatch, but it's heavyweight. Hardy hits very hard and can fight three rounds, Volkov's fight IQ is terrible and his chin isn't great. I smell a crazy upset in the first round here... but I wouldn't bet on it.

Clearly most of the matchups on this card were designed to get Russian fighters wins and I agree with most being favorites but Ankalaev, Gamszatov, Ibragimov, and Imadaev are being overrated. Wouldn't be shocked by any of them or even Popov losing.

I actually took a flyer and picked Hardy. If he can keep his energy level even and not gas himself out quickly, I think he might be able to keep the fight in a boxing mode that works for him. And that it might also be boring.
