This is an Al Haymon/Premier Boxing Champions event, but Haymon is officially an "advisor", so i don't know who the official promoter will be, my guess would be TGB Promotions.

Also, how hard is it to add some pictures to the fighter profiles???  It doesn't look very good.
Maybe I'm being picky but I think the biggest boxing show of thye months event page should be looking better.  I add pictures to my events, even small shows in leisure centres and bike sheds!!!!  But the WBC Heavyweight title fight?? Nah, lets just leave that, its not like some of the best boxers in the world are fighting??!!!
Sorry, rant over!!!

I like a moan!  But I think I have a point

I still don't see how this fight makes sense. I mean, it's not like the first fight was close... Well it was back-and forth and Ortiz had him in deep **** in the 7th, but ultimately Ortiz got beaten to death. I dunno. Could be more interesting if Ortiz is in better shape, but my feeling is Wilder is a much better boxer with a lot more confidence than he was the first time around. I think Ortiz would bit the living Bejeesus out of Joshua.

@fishrat

It makes sense for Deontay Wilder, because he's obsessed with being undefeated like Floyd Mayweather.

lol as opposed to what? Joshua taking Ruiz? You do realize that Wilder signed a bout agreement to fight Joshua in the UK for 15 Mill, right? Hearn and Joshua declined it despite setting the terms. Hearn has always wanted Wilder to fight Dylan whyte and to keep him away from Joshua as long as possible. Both he and Joshua ****** up by taking the Ruiz fight, which was meant to be a cherry-pick but hilariously it backfired.

Louis Ortiz is a much more dangerous rematch than Ruiz is.

You need to stop riding Joshua's joystick, because you're just gonna get your heart broken when he gets KO'ed again. He's bad enough he might never get to fight Wilder. The fact is it isn't Wilder ducking and diving. It's Joshua and Hearn.

Hearn has wanted the Dilian White fight because Dilian White has been the mandatory challenger for Deontay Wilder for the 2 years.  On your point, Wilder turned down a deal where he would've had 2 fights with Anthony Joshua fot 50 million dollars guaranteed each.

Hearn wants Wilder to fight Whyte because whyte is his fighter. That's it. And since Joshua doesn't have the belt, he will get what he's given. Not in a position to dictate terms. And I think that's going to get worse, too, and that's because I just rewatched the Ruiz. I NOW believe Ruiz would TKO him again. Joshua doesn't have the heart, pocket defense or chin to win that fight. Really apart from a few flick jabs and that hook that luckily caught Ruiz on the temple, he looked to be all at sea. He's simply not good in a Mexican style firefight, and can't stop a guy like Ruiz forcing one.

I don't know about all that ducking each other shizznill! I don't think any professional fighter is scared or avoids anybody.  Promoters and Governing bodies on the other hand, they are the real 1's dodge, dip, duck, dive and dodging around fights!!! The WBC not giving Dillian Whyte a shot at Wilder after becoming their no.1 contender near 3 years ago and beating 4 top ranked fighters in the time and still not getting the shot is a ******* joke!
Yeah Eddie Hearn is a money hungry **** and Joshua is his big juicy cash cow who he will milk until dry!
On the opposite side Al Haymon is a shady ****!!! The other guy, the old Jewish cretin, Shirley Winkle!! He has the look of 1 of those old record label bosses from the 50's, 60's & 70's who "managed" all the successful soul artists of the time and ****** them all over! Same thing just with black boxers instead of singers.
Boxing is a Dirty dirty business.
Another thing I don't know if Ruiz is all that great.? I mean fair play for getting the win but I really think it's a case of a 1 hit wonder, the guy deone absolutely **** all up until that fight, was dropped several promotional contracts and thrown outta gyms coz he had a bad work ethic.  Maybe he has turned it all around but I tend to think he hit that lucky punch and after this fight he will disappear again.  Joshua has flaws, he is stiff and his defence is questionable!  But you can't write off an Olympic Gold, a title after 15 fights, unifiying 3 belts after 1 loss!  He still has the best record of all the heavyweights, though Wilders is improving with Ortiz and Fury(even though he lost that fight!) as for Fury he's went back to fighting bin men after the Wilder fight so **** him!
I could go on about boxing forever.  I have already!!  So much so I seem to have forgotten my point!!!!
I just thought I'd weigh in! lol

To your point about this fight not making sense Fish.  Nothing in boxing makes sense!!!!  Too many people involved from boxers, managers, promoters, TV, sponsors, trainers, commissions etc etc etc.  All those people and they all only want whats best for themselves!  Meaning nobody gets what they want. Resulting in the giant **** show that is Boxing!!!!

I still love it though!!!

lol! It's true, Fury fighting cleaning ladies is disgraceful. But seriously Dylan Whyte can **** right off! I cannot understand for the life of me why so many people think he's black Jesus....his best win is probably Parker, and the better the comp he's fought, the less impressive he's been. That said Parker beat Ruiz so **** what I think anyway. I dunno, I might be biased. As for Finkle..well,yeah he does look like an embalmed corpse animated by the ancient malignant spirit of exploiting black boxers.... pretty much the sort of Jew that makes you go 'Oh yeah, that's how it happened ( LMAO leave me alone Greg it's a ******* joke!!).

Seriously though I dunno he doesn't seem any shadier to me than any of the other promoters and managers. They're all greasy turds who probably harvest their fighter's taint while they are sleeping and sell it on the black market to North Korea.

I dunno about Ruiz yet. We'll have to see. His amateur record is good, never been finished, 22 KO's. Really if he hadn't lost to Parker it would be a great record. It's just that after watching the fight with Joshua again it was pretty apparent that Joshua just had no answer for that style. I'm pretty sure Ortiz would have done the same thing to him, eventually. I just don't get the Hype. I mean really the only reason he gets as much shine as he does is because we're living through a really ****** age of HW boxing.

Yip ALL promoters are sleazeballs!  99% of these types, promoters, managers, agents, who creep around major sports to syphon off as much cash as possible are shady ****s!!!!

As for todays Heavyweights, I actually think the division is pretty strong at the moment!  You've got 1 of the hardest punchers all time in Wilder, Fury a great boxer and personality, Joshua is the muscle bound 1, Ortiz the dangerous Cuban, Whyte is a Wildman! Parker the Maori,  a Russian juicer, Povetkin and a fat Mexican!!! Some great prospects too!  Dubois looks real dangerous, there's this Croatian guy who I think is gonna be a problem Filip Hrgovic plus a French guy who won Gold at the 2016 Olympics Tony Yoka.  theres a Nigerian guy too Efe Ajagba.  So I'd say Heavyweight is good, much better than the 15 years between Lennox Lewis retiring and Klitschko finally getting beaten into retirement, thank you Joshua!!
I joke about Ruiz, I do think he is good, great combination puncher, which gives Joshua fits as he can't seem to defend hooks!?  But I do think Joshua wins the rematch fairly easily.  I know he looked a shambles in the 1st fight!  But if he boxes to his potential he beats Ruiz all day.  Maybe kinda boring, I'm picturing like his Parker win.
I'd love Ortiz to beat Wilder!  Just for the **** storm it would create!!  It would serve these greedy promoter ****s right for putting off the fights we should see. Fury v Wilder 2, Wilder v Whyte, Joshua v Wilder, Fury v Joshua, all of these fights should've happened by now.  That is the thing that pisses me off about boxing the most.  The best don't fight the best.  Not in theire primes anyway.  Mayweather Pacquiao created a massive problem in that it made these people think that if they hold off for as long as possible for the biggest fights they can make more cash, which is what it all boils down to.  Dirty, Rotten, Sweet Cash Money!!!

Yeah see Dubois is just no-fat Wilder to me. Stiff as a dead crab, spams hooks while marching forward leaning into his punches against fat hairy pub brawlers who really have no shot of winning.....I'll need to see a lot more to become a believer. Not gonna lie it's fun to watch him merk these teletubbies he gets fed though.

You know, I'd be interested in seeing Usyk fight one of these big boys. I'm pretty high on him...that's one seriously hard and fast hitting white boy. Pretty ******* good at finding openings too. and he's a southpaw. Same training pedigree as loma. Could go on to do amazing ****. But the witherspoon fight was a bit meh...dunno, might be too small. He's more of cruiser than a true heavy.

Ortiz is 40 years old man....like he can talk about cleaning up his conditioning and I have no doubt it will help but 40 is 40. I reckon Wilder will be harder to catch next time around. I'll be surprised if gets it done, and I hope it doesn't happen because it will give the winner of Ruiz vs Joshua 2 card Blanche for shenanigans. HOWEVER I do think a cuban southpaw is the hardest style for Deontay. I have a feeling there's basically no Orthodox fighter who can avoid that right missile at this point in his career.

Forgot about Usyk while listing all those Heavyweights!!  I actually think he beats them all, pretty ******* easily actually!  Apart from 1 thing, can he take a whack from an 17 stone puncher??!! Because he will get hit at some point.  Especially if its Wilder he's fooked!!
I have picked against Wilder in all of his fights!  He is terrible!!!  But that right hand is deadly, from rd 1 to rd 12.  I kinda think he is gonna sleep everyone too, but I will still pick everyone to outbox him in the hope that actual skill and technique can defeat sheer athleticism and 1 punch KO power!

Anyway, I'm out bud, need some sleep!

lol well yeah, but HW Boxing is generally just pretty terrible all round....it's the weight category least requisite of boxing skill and the place everyone is least likely to see amazing technical ****. I mean look at Shavers, he couldn't really box for ****, he could just punch a hole through the side of a tank. That alone gave him one of the best HW records ever. It's the old 'you can't swim without getting wet' thing. Sometimes you get an Ali who was able to move like no HW should be able to, and weather ridonkulous damage, but for the large part it's just really big ******* goons gooning on one another.

What they don't get props for is going the full twelve (or fifteen as it used to, back in the day, really that was even before my time) carrying all that mass. It's pretty ******* incredible.
