Gallagher is fighting in his city, Belfast. If this goes to the judges, highly likely as Jenkins only has 8 KO's none in over 5yrs, I smell some home cooking in favour of Gallagher.

Did nobody see Paddy Barnes last fight? He was dropped, outboxed and beaten by a 10-6 journeyman! Before that he was KO'd in a couple rounds in a title fight he was set up to win. He's only getting another chance on this card as he's good friends with and was a part of the Irish Olympic team with Conlan. The man hasn't beaten any1 with a winning record. He was a good amateur but he just doesn't have the style for the pros. I also think he used up his best years in the amateurs and TBH his heart doesn't seem to be in it. Wouldn't be surprised if he retires after a loss, even if he wins I think he's done

@Tapology you've screwed me out of points again by not inputting the correct results. Mateusz Kubiszyn KO'd Damien Sullivan in the 1st round, which I predicted perfectly. But for some reason its obly down as a KO with no round selected. I wouldn't mind so much but that extr 35points putz me in 1st position overall!
I mean the result is on BoxRec plus there's a highlight going about online because it waz a upset and a pretty brutal 1 punch KO!!!
This happened last week at Battlefield when I picked Tibau to beat Brooks and had to email tap a few times to get the results right.

So so. He completely outboxed his opponent. But he kinda took some rounds off in the middle. To his credit he got a late TKO. But I feel that was more down to his opponent gassing rather than Conlan really putting it on him.
Conlan is going to struggle at the highest levels as he doesn't have much finishing instincts. He has just teamed up with Adam Booth so maybe they'll work well together

Yeah, I see what you mean. He's very pointy, lacks power and is low volume even for a counterpuncher.Nice footwork and evasion but I'm not seeing anything that really blows me away.Pretty soft stoppage also--stopping the fightover a body shot when he doesn't even take a knee? Eeeeeh.... I dunno. He strikes me as one of those guys who will do ok domestically but I don't rate this guy holding a premium belt really.

Yeah I don't see him troubling any of the current belt holders Leo Santa Cruz, Gary Russell, Oscar Valdez, Josh Warrington. Or up n comers like Shakur Stevenson. He could have good scraps wuth British level guys Kid Galahad, Jordan Gill and Isaac Lowe. There's been talk of an all Belfast clash between Conlan and Carl Frampton. Which would be 1 of the biggest fights in Northern Irish boxing history. Maybe even 1 of the biggest sporting events! I actually see that fight happening in the next year or so as long as both keep winning.

I just heard about Valdez moving up and vacating his belt
The fight for the vacant belt will most likely be Stevenson vs Gonzalez. As long as all terms are agreed, which is never a certainty in boxing!! Hopefully it is made as would be a good fight
