Prediction Comments

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 685 Points   |   Tied for 297th

Jędrzejczyk vs. Waterson
Michelle Waterson, TKO, R3
I have always been a big fan of Joanna Violence. Her rise to the title and 5 title defence reign was brilliant to witness. Easily 1 of the greatest female fighters all time, I'd say she's in the top 5. But that reign is over now, she was a confidence fighter and that definetly took a big hit when she was finished by Rose. In the loss to Shevchenko she didn't have that same mean, nasty streak she used to. There's no shame in losing to Rose and Valentina. But I feel it's more than that. The hunger isn't there, and why should it be, she has been to the top, stayed there and dominated. Of course there is also this carry on with the weight! I agree with Waterson not agreeing to the catch weight, why shuold she? They signed to fight at 115. Make Joanna drain herself and struggle all week is only going to benefit Waterson and increase her chances of winning. This is the best chance Waterson is gonna have to get a win over Joanna and I think she might just do it! Fook it! Waterson by finish!!!

Vick vs. Price
Niko Price, TKO, R2
Either Vick wins a decision or he gets caught and KTFO'd! Him getting KO'd seems more likely

Dern vs. Ribas
Amanda Ribas, DEC
A RIBAS A Ribas!!! ARIBA ARIBA!!! ARIBAS Amanda Ribas is gonna win!

Anders vs. Meerschaert
Gerald Meerschaert, DEC
Don't trust neither of these guys! Every time I pick 1 they lose and vice versa! I'm not impressed by Anders KO'ing Moreira, he was blootered by Bangok Khalil, lost to Elias Theodorou! was getting beat by Tim Williams before landing that crazy head kick in the 3rd!!! Meerschaert has wins over better competition, not much better! Also he's a slight underdog so thats as good a reason as any!

Figueiredo vs. Elliott
Tim Elliott, SUB, R2
This shuold be a real fun fight! Really it should be on the main card, you've got the no.3 vs no.7 (I think?) The UFC still doesn't know how to promote the Flyweight division! I picture there being a lot of fun scrambles and again I am tempted to pick the underdog! Figueiredo has some issues on the ground so if Elliot can get some take downs I see him winning rounds or even gettinmg the sub. But Figueiredo is dangerous AF on the feet so getting him down is real risky! Gimme the underdog!

Vera vs. Ewell
Marlon Vera, TKO, R2
Chito Vera is 1 of my favourite fighters at 135. He is real fun to watch. Usually gets himself hurt or dropped in round 1 then rallies to get the finish in the 2nd!! I see the same outcome here, just to decide on the finish, KO or Sub???

Aldana vs. Baeza
Miguel Baeza, TKO, R1
Is Aldana kept around just to get UFC prospects wins?? I see no other reason why he is in the UFC>

Vettori vs. Sanchez
Andrew Sanchez, DEC
I like Sanchez to get takedowns and win rounds 1 and 2. He is always a risk to gas out and Vettori does have good cardio so the 3rd round could be a lot of trouble for Sanchez, but I am piocking him to hang on and get the decision win

@swain  you think?  I'd say you're in the minority with that thinking bud.  Dern attracts some of the thirstiest fans I've seen!
Anyway, I think I might throw out my ugly/uglier chicks always win rule.

I thought you couldn't read more than a sentence at a time???
Also, you say Watersons mentally weak,  isn't Joanna giving up on the weight cut a week before the fight a sign of "weakness"?

I wouldn't ever describe a professional fighter as weak?
If she beats Joanna she deserves a title shot, Suarez is injured, Andrade doesn't deserve a rematch after getting blasted in a minute Rose is MIA. So who else?

@Mikey

When an assclown on the internet starts calling professional cage fighters weak, you know you're wasting your time. Win or lose, Michelle Waterson has more strength and courage in her eyelashes than some incel who can't talk MMA without repeatedly calling her a prostitute and making fun of her for being a mom. If you wanna give attention to basement-dwelling edgelords, go to 4chan, because I don't really want to hear about all of MassaBruce's issues with women. It's sad, and I feel for the women he's probably stalking.

Vick vs. Price

Predictions: 9 of 14 Winners, 4 Perfect, 590 Points   |   Tied for 927th

I know im in the minority here but personally I think this move up in weight is going to be what Vick needs to start making progress up the division. He always looked huge at Lightweight and must have really been draining himself to make 155. That plus he knows he's getting his walking papers if he leaves with anything other than a win on Saturday and that back to the wall feeling sometimes brings out the best in guys.

Vick by Decision.

I see Joanna made the weight, she was 115.5.  What was the big deal then???  Obviously there must've been some issue and she looked like Skeletor so I still believe the weight cut is an issue.

Even Mackenzie Dern made the weight!!! Who'd have thunk it?  After all the drama about weight cuts in the end nobody misses!

@Jolldan

I've been thinking the same thing. Vick's always had a bad chin and bad fight IQ, both of which happen with severe weight cuts. Moving up isn't guaranteed to make Vick a real contender, but it's worth a shot.

Predictions: 10 of 14 Winners, 5 Perfect, 680 Points   |   Tied for 319th

Jędrzejczyk vs. Waterson
Joanna Jędrzejczyk, DEC
could get interesting if it hits the ground, but i see joanna peppering her up.

Swanson vs. Gracie
Kron Gracie, SUB, R2
weird fight, one that i think is definitely winnable for kron and feels like theyre trying to stepping stone cub. he's a big big step up from caceres/kawajiri though so there might be an adjustment period where kron eats a few punches. but unless cub really hurts him early, i think we get chained entries and eventual rnc.

Vick vs. Price
Niko Price, TKO, R2
james vick doesn't like to be the nail and i'm not sure he's gonna employ a counterpunch game.

Dern vs. Ribas
Mackenzie Dern, DEC
her striking is bad, someone is going to put her out, but i'm not sure ribas is the one to do it.

Pena vs. Frevola
Luis Pena, TKO, R2
i'm not a betting man, but i like pena inside the distance at +225. they've been using frevola as fodder for prospects.

Anders vs. Meerschaert
Eryk Anders, DEC
gerald can catch a lot of guys, but anders can sprawl well and i think it'll keep the fight where he wants it.

Clark vs. Spann
Devin Clark, DEC
spann could catch him early, but i'll pick a longer fight where clark starts slow and picks it up.

Gifford vs. Davis
Mike Davis, TKO, R2
beast boy is the better nickname, but i also feel like this is lined up as a "thank you" for fighting burns at ww.

Griffin vs. Morono
Alex Morono, DEC
i guess morono is at a size disadvantage, but i think he's probably used to that at ww and i think he has more consistency.

Figueiredo vs. Elliott
Deiveson Figueiredo, DEC
this is my most anticipated fight of the evening. might be bonkers. deiveson has more options i think.

Vera vs. Ewell
Marlon Vera, SUB, R2
vera's record is a little padded, though he's obviously talented. ewell is pretty big for bw, but has some sub losses. yeah i guess i see why that's swaying everyone, i'm gonna fall in line but won't be surprised if ewell can use his size.

Aldana vs. Baeza
Miguel Baeza, TKO, R2
baeza really hasn't fought anyone, but aldana is another guy they've been using as fodder.

Vettori vs. Sanchez
Marvin Vettori, SUB, R3
sanchez is a first round beast, but cardio and chin will seemingly always hold him back. he'll get hit, get desperate on a td attempt, lose position, get hit, and get tapped... i think.

Aldrich vs. Mueller
JJ Aldrich, DEC
mueller's best win is dobson. jj doesn't have high profile wins, but she has fought at a much higher level. barber put it on her though so hopefully she's not like damaged on gunshy. should be her fight then.

Jędrzejczyk vs. Waterson
Joanna Jędrzejczyk, DEC
This'll most likely go to decision but I'd love to see an early stop. The whole ambiguity of Jedrzejczyk making weight in the run up to this fight leaves it a bit more up in the air than it was a week ago.

Swanson vs. Gracie
Kron Gracie, SUB, R3
Honestly I'll always root for someone with an undefeated record. Should be a fun fight

Vick vs. Price
Niko Price, TKO, R1
you wanna see a dead body?

Dern vs. Ribas
Mackenzie Dern, DEC
Dern made weight, who'd have thought?

Pena vs. Frevola
Luis Pena, TKO, R3
Violent Bob Ross is the best fighter nickname

It’ll be interesting to see if Vick can make the adjustments and actually keep his “hands up.” With that being said, I’ll side with Price testing that quickly and unloading the clip(s).

Folks, the random, sexually violent comments about female fighters is getting worse here and it needs to be toned down.  It's one thing to say how hot you think a female fighter is, and use colorful language to do it.  It's another thing to talk like you're a serial criminal/******.

Agreed @Greg.
I like to joke about thirsty virgins in MMA! They jack up the betting odds of pretty fighters so that, I'm cool with lol!
But yeah, there is another side to it that I don't find funny.  I'm not going all SJW but I have a mother, sister, nieces and many female friends so I have respect for women.

I see my friend has been suspended again! LOL
