You only get 2 eyes in life. I don't have an issue with a fighter being honest to a doctor about what he sees or doesn't see.

Looked like a pretty soft poke to me Greg. I'm gonna go with Swain and say he found a way out because he was spent and knew the end was nigh.

@fish just speaking generally. not saying I believe or don't believe Duffee. Just that as a general rule, I don't necessarily agree with the "don't tell the truth to the doctor" mentality.

You know what @Gregory, we need none of your sense making logic. We’re bloody thirsty armchairsavages and expect these dudes to die for our entertainment. I mean really...what’s so wrong about that?

Duffee hit Hughes with everything he had and knew he wasn't going away. I'm not going to say he quit in there, but that definitely seemed like an easy way out.

For me it's an issue of consent. I have no issue with a fighter not telling the ref if they want the fight to go on, but equally a fighter shouldn't be shamed for doing it either.

Glover winning here could literally redeem the depression I'm currently feeling owing to my ****** picks this card.

It's kind of messed up that you have the official commentary from the UFC/ESPN (Daniel Cormier) being like "don't tell the doctor you're seeing double!" I get that he's talking from a fighter's mentality. But it's still kind of crazy. You've got fighters like Bisping/Koscheck ending up with seriously screwed up eyes.
Anyway, the answer to this problem, obviously, is hi-tech gloves with nanobots. During boxing exchanges the nanobots extend to cover the fingers and prevent eyepokes. During grappling they retract.

Yeah @Fish Glover is an OG. I'm a little nervous about his chin though. Krylov has excellent head kicks and I pictured him wrapping a shin around Glovers nut! But Krylov also has a habit of putting himself in bad positions and getting subbed. That's what I'm counting on. Glover might get rocked, what am I saying might! He gets rocked every fight!!!! But he gets ig to the ground and locks up his signature Arm Triangle.
Let's GO GLOVER!!!!!

That,Greg, is a VERY good point. ESPN and IFC, every organization should take issue with that. Believe or not, even my surly ass self was shaking head at that.

@greg one could argue that you also only get one brain, one set of knees. etc. If fighting was regulated sensibly according to medical guidelines...well, there probably wouldn't be any.
