Also nice match up for Zappatella and it's always nice to see Young in the ring. Only one european fighter tough, that's a bummer.

Alesha Zappitella is pretty darn good. I got her winning against the UFC vet Pereira and then challenging for the Title. She's got good jitz and wrestling.

Hey everyone. I love Invicta, but I never quite have the time to keep up with all their events on top of the UFC's. Does anyone have any recommendations for any up-and-comers you expect to see in the UFC? (reply or comment on my profile if so) From what little I know of their roster, Lehner/Spangler and Young/McMah look like can't-miss fights; any others?

@Indorfin

Well you have DeAnna Bennett and Vivianne Pereira that were both in the UFC already. Pereira is now fighting at a lighter weight class 105. I'd say Zappitella has the highest ceiling as of right now but there's no 105lb division in the UFC and she's too small for 115lbs. I believe she's made mention of not having to cut weight for the Atomweight Di division. Lisa Spangler is probably most likely work a couple of wins to make it into the UFC. She's a Bantamweight (135lbs), undefeated as a pro and has a very extensive ammy record with only 1 lose.

I don't follow the Regional Scene as much as I did a while ago though. With work and other life activities I'm lucky to watch a half of UFC event or a couple LFA and PFL fights.

@detroit
I gotta disagree Vivian ain't gonna lose four in a row.
Zap is gonna get starched with her first loss.

Edit: zap is way too small and untested. Vivian has only lost to three of the best in wmma.

Spangler is about to get her first real test too. Lehner ain't no joke. Betting on Spangler with my heart instead of my head. I suspect Spangler and zap both get their first losses.

@Detroit

Thanks! I don't know how anyone has time to follow regional MMA anymore. I can barely keep up with who's fighting in the UFC each week, and on top of that, PFL, LFA, One and Invicta are all having some pretty serious events lately in case I ever have a free second.

@free You could be right. Definitely winnable fights for Lehner and Pereira. I like Spangler because despite her somewhat inexperienced Pro Career she does have a pretty nice looking ammy record. I like Zappitella also because of her wrestling and BJJ credentials. You bring up solid points though with both Pereira and Lehner recently losing to very good competition. I think with Zappitella she lost early on in her ammy career and is finally putting it all together. I her she's subbing men at the gym with leglocks and what not. Those fights should at least be good, same with Bennett and Rodriquez 2.
