Predictions: 5 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 365 Points | Tied for 1916th
Pettis, Dec.
Nate is enough of a ring zombie to survive, but his plod forward and get his lead leg chopped down tactics won't pay off against Pettis. Anthony would have to really **** the dog to drop this one, and I don't see him doing it. Comfortable 30-27 for Pettis.
Romero vs Costa
Romero, KO/TKO R2.
Romero should really be a much healthier favorite going in to this. Really, Costa has an extremely narrow path to victory, and basically that involves keeping consistent pressure on the feet and without getting counter KTFO or dumped and beaten like a red headed stepchild. It's a huge ask and a task I doubt few are equal to. I suspect he finds himself on his back with horrendous elbows raining down on him like mortars at some stage, quite possibly the first.
Cifers vs Esquibel
Cifers, dec
Although a finish wouldn't give me a coronary either. God knows what the bookies are seeing in Jodie, but whatever it is, it's clearly occurring in a parallel dimension that seemingly only they have access to, because she is singularly awful and one of the worst WMMA fighters I have ever seen. I have no idea what she's still doing in the UFC. She should retire to a life of fishing dumpers from public ashtrays, drinking spilled soup from cracks in sidewalks (like a cat at a saucer of milk) and breastfeeding litters of stray kittens in drains or whatever the **** it is your garden variety bag lady does day-to-day.
Assuncao vs Sandhagen
Sandhagen, Dec.
Sandhagen is too unorthodox for a guy like assuncao who is a pretty standard meat n' potatoes thai guy. He also doesn't have the greatest cardio, and doesn't have the power in his hands to keep sandhagen civilized the way lineker did. I expect him to get picked apart pretty badly over three here. He might take a round but will lose the decision.
Bermudez vs Kenny
Bermudez, sub r2.
Very, very tough fight to pick--but I'm going to give manny the edge. Kenny has great wrestling as we saw in the ray boredom fight, but his striking sucks balls--and the fact he's going up against a nasty sub specialist in Bermudez begs the question; how exactly does he win? Now that isn't to say he can't wrestle**** his way to a UD here, but it's a risky prospect on three counts--he may get subbed, he may get caught in a sub attack but not get subbed and be kept locked down for the majority of a round, and he may THINK he's going to get subbed, which will prevent him committing to grappling attacks, which will leave a striking battle that he will surely lose.
That said, I won't be shocked if I get this one wrong. Coin flip.
Klose vs Giagos
Giagos, dec.
I think this is a bad fight for Drakkar. I think this is a REALLY bad fight for a guy who dropped one to Teymur, because Giagos is kinda the same; he's a big, heavy puncher with high pressure, much better wrestling, and the most important thing, grit. I was hoping Giagos would be a bigger dog but it looks like the bookies are on to it. Hopefully the lines change.
Mazo vs Dobson
Mazo, dec
However she might be worth a prop to finish. I cannot fathom why she's the dog here. Dobson fights like a crackhead trying to steal an old lady's purse and will be cut if not after this bout than soon afterwards. Mazo is the best value straight bet on the card along with cifers.
Edit: Holy ****balls people; Mazo is +570 ITD against this charwoman who has nearly as many losses as wins against garbage comp. Irresistible odds.

Diaz vs. Pettis
Nate Diaz, decision
Pettis wins the first round and then its Diaz show

The only badass Drakkar has fought was Teymur and we all know how that went. IMO everything Klose does will play right into Giagos game. I expect another dominant showcase of cardio & wrestling.

I cap this match-up ending in Draw, DQ or NC at about 70%.
Lets be honest, this fight doesn't make sense. Was rushed and now randomly placed.
These 2 men are way too devastating for this match-up to end cleanly IMO

10 match-ups that do not make much sense and you guys know it.
2 intriguing match-ups that should be happening..
Pettis vs Nate and Assuncao vs Sandhagen
Massive Stipe fan, idk how anybody can be confident in him. Not only has he taken off way too much time..but he's been doing nothing in the name of Prize-Fighting during said time. Firefighter and dad....yikes.
Miocic was just getting back into training. Too busy teaching his daughter how to swim.
What's DC been up to? Beating giants via RNC and LIVING in a wrestling room. Hmm...

Subs vs a guy obsessed with transitions? This is easy
Big fan of Casey, who would beat Borg 10/10 times but this is an awful match-up vs 1 of the very best SUB artist in the game.
Manny would strangle Kron. I know this. Do you?

the way Giagos was able to dominate Hadzovic was very impressive and tbh i dont know where Drakkar's head is at with all this MMA Lab drama going on since he hasnt been able to trian with his usual guys
agreed Drakkar should be the favorite but Giagos won me over with that last fight i got him by another dominant decision maybe a couple 10-8s just to flex on his hometown crowd
glad im not alone boys @bruce @free

Khamas style & past plays right into Smiths game. 5 TKO's losses on his record, most being in the 1st round, as we can all read...not good. Deathstar has fought good competition, Felder, Quarantillo, Bessette, Kyle Nelson etc.
Also, the short-notice contract basically completely negates 1 of Worthy's best attributes, cardio.
Smiths 1 pro loss is a 3rd round TKO...to Alpaca Gunther of all people. So don't just completely trust this Devonte..
Smith via TKO in the 1st or 2nd is obviously the pick to make.

A fight I'm actually looking forward to is Brunson vs Heinisch. Their wrestling should cancel each other out so we'll end up with two sloppy, powerful guys trading. Or we could also end up with a clinch fest. Ian has been a pleasant surprise for me, and I think he'll keep it up against a fading Derek.
I also find myself favoring Bermudez over Kenney, but I'm gonna stick with Casey because I think he'll do the smart thing and avoid the ground like a plague. While it's been years, I still remember Manny having trouble with Albert Morales there, so Casey outpointing him is a real possibility.
