UFC 240: Holloway vs. Edgar

Aubin-mercier is a tough call, he had a lot of upside years ago, but now at 30 has he reached his ceiling?

 Also, the young Arman had a tough debut against makhavchev 

Aubin mercier possibly has the hometown judges and I won’t be surpried if this one goes the distance

This is one of the tougher fights to predict imo

Holloway vs. Edgar

Sadly I think you're all right ONLY because of father time but it won't surprise me a bit if Edgar pulls the upset because Max has never faced anyone as quick or with as good of wrestling as Frankie. His ability to quickly transition, the fact that he wrestles with quickness more than power, his seemingly inexhaustable cardio, and Holloway's reliance on volume & pace rather than 1 shot power makes this a great style matchup in Edgar's favor. Still have to favor the younger and still improving champ but 9%?!!, get ******' real

Cyborg vs. Spencer

I am sooooo uninterested in Cyborg fights because they are hardly ever competitive. Hope I'm wrong about this one.

Neal vs. Price
Geoff Neal, TKO, R2
Rooting for Price or at least for his wild style to get Neal out of his disciplined approach and make it an exciting fight. Neal wins a slow paced strategic fight all day long. Niko's only shot is a brawl. The more scrambles the better.

Aubin-Mercier vs. Tsarukyan

Not a fan of this matchup. I think the prospect lives up to his hype and wins but if he doesn't he's 0-2 vs. 2 fighters with a combined 18 UFC fights or he wins by giving a veteran on a 2 fight losing streak his 3rd straight loss.

The odds and pick % looks about right IF Araujo hadn't lost by 1st rd KO to Frota and Davis' recent run hadn't been so unimpressive.

High level fight but FLW is a mess

So the freak that got tooled by an Atomweight on the ground at Strawweight has a 1st rd KO over over the FLW prospect who won her UFC debut at BW. MMA is weird.

Stewart vs. Koch

Torn on this 1. I like Koch as a fighter and love fighers that move up in weight but Koch has never beaten anyone that good, is giving up big reach and size advantage, and I am seriously doubting his cardio after bulking up vs. a grinder but is he just a level up from Stewart? hmm....

Win or lose Arman needs to go to 145. He's way smaller than all the top lightweights and he might be able to hang with some of them but his full potential will be reached at featherweight.

Okay. In the ****ter at work. Time to look at the card.

Edgar because I love him. I like Max a lot too and all but it’s my boys last title go most likely

Tonight's the night! Frankie the living legend Edgar will attempt to regain a UFC title. Last time Frankie felt UFC gold was back in 2012! Despite his multiple short falls in title challenges since then. He has managed to remain at the top of the heap. Across the ring awaits arguably the greatest featherweight of all time. The current reigning featherweight king! Max Blessed Holloway. Where Frankie has twice fell short against Jose Aldo. Max has twice succeeded in stellar fasion by back to back TKO! Max may be the first opponent Frankie has ever faced that will be able to hang with and maybe even exceed Frankie's perpetual pace. On the flip side Frankie may be the best wrestling Max has ever faced. Either way this is a well anticipated match up!

Cyborg looks to regain the moniker of worlds scariest woman. When she takes on Felicia Spencer. Spencer is a special grappler and possibly the future of the UFC's women's featherweight division. However she certainly has never been hit in the head as hard as Cyborg is going to hit her. She just might see a few stars tonight!

Among these two spectacular bouts are many more interesting and exciting fights. Here are a few of the ones I'm most excited to see!

Geoff Neal faces off against Niko Price in what is sure to be a banger! Both Price and Neal have two of the most shocking KO's I've ever seen! Neal's head kick KO of Frank Camacho landed him the number three spot on my 2018 KO of the year! Price's hammerfist KO from his guard against Randy Brown is one of the most memorable KO's of all time!

Olivier Aubin-Mercier takes on Arman Tsarukyan. Olivier looks to get back on the winning track after dropping his last two to tough veterans. However that is going to be way harder than probably most people expect! Despite most casual and some hardcore fans having no idea who Tsarukyan is. He burst onto the scene with a surprising good debut against a very tough 16-1 Islam Makhachev back in april. Tsarukyan was on the losing side of a unanimous decision. However the fight managed to land itself on the number 3 spot of my best fights of 2019!👍👏

Alexis Davis takes on Viviane Araujo. Davis was considered a potential title contender back when the women's flyweight division was introduced. But after losing her last two she finds herself clinging onto the top ten instead. After tonight she just might find herself clinging onto a job in the UFC. As she takes on Viviane Araujo. Araujo sent chills throughout the flyweight division back in may when she knocked out top 20 bantemweight Talita Bernardo. In a short notice fight. Up a weight class.

Top four flyweight contenders Alexandre Pantoja and Deiveson Figueiredo face off in what is likely a title contender fight. Both men possess rare flyweight KO power. And are two of the most exciting fighters in the division today.

Lemme tell you, it is extremely painful for me to pick fights involving Frankie. When I pick him to win.... I lose. When I pick against him....... I lose. That's just how it is. I like Frankie, how the **** couldn't you. And I think he could make things fun vs. Holloway. I just dnt knooow Maaaan. Max didn't look very good last time out (yeeaaaa i know. He didn't look good AT LIGHTWEIGHT) Annnd he got busted the **** up. How much, if any did that loss bring down his confidence? We'll see tonight.

Woowwww!!!! I'm surprised even 10% is taking Spencer here. And maybe more surprising, not everyone taking Cris Justíno has her winning by KO. interesting.

Neal vs. Price

This would be my secondary pick for possible fight of the night. Both these guys push for the brutal KO. That's my kinda fight. Sean Shelby/Mick Maynard aren't complete ****tards if they can put **** like this together.

Ok, i knooow I'm the worst at explaining my thoughts because I feel every little detail is important.... But goddamn! LaFmaN over here writing TIME Magazine articles on UFC 240.
