One round pro fights are quite funny, but I still like this tournament thing.

Old school one day tourney like the original ufc tourney but one round is best with no time limit so fighters have to finish. No boring fights that way.
Another strange rule for this tourney whoever gets a finish in round one gets to choose their opponent for round two. very strange.

@punchimal Probably only for the first round cause the later round fights are to be determined
Plus there should be some non tournament fights on the card too.

Does anyone know if since these fights are only one 5 minute rounds if they will effect the girls records or if they will just be classed as exhibition fights like in TUF?

There was a similar format in a promotion called YAMMA Pit Fighting years ago with 5 minute round fights, and all of those fights counted on the fighter's records, so I would say they will probably be classified as pro fights.

According to the press release on Invicta's website, the tournament bouts all count on the fighters' record. The reserve bouts will be exhibition, but if the winner is called up to the tournament bracket, then the exhibition counts as an official fight.

If I remember, Tuf did that because fighter have to fight in consecutvie weak and wont be clear to fight if it was offical fight. Like when everyone get 30day suspension after an UFC fight.

Who you guys got becoming the new 115 champ. My odds on favorite is mizuki.
But I like morandin too. If someone gets injured and kay hanson gets in I like her the most.

Nice to see some European talent in Invicta again. Sunna Tsunami is tough as we know, but Sormova is also good ad to Invicta roster.

@freemoneyforall Kay vs sormova isn't one of the back up fights, Its just a regular 3 round fight.

The back up fights are Amber brown vs Manjit Kolekar and Itzel Esquivel vs Alyssa Khan

im hoping mizuki gets her belt back, but shes a 105er fighting at 115, she gives up height and reach to most of these girls. shes fun to watch though, non stop action.

Janaisa Morandin vs Brianna Van Buren
Van Buren via DEC
We're now years removed from Morandin squashing 0-0 girls. Went 1-1 in 2017, 0-1 in 2018. Losing to the only real challenges of her career. Doesn't look good imo. This Buren girl is a specimen. Fought tougher opposition from day 1 and is only getting better. I'm going with the upset

Kailin Curran vs Sunna Davidsdottir
Sunna Tsunami
Lets face it, Curran isnt very good, especially at striking & wrestling. Sunna is building quite the resume for herself and I think it continues here. I expect Sunna to smesh Curran via wrastlin'

This has to be the first event where i've predicted all decisions. Since the fights are only one round i cant seem to decide weather the girls are going to go all out swinging or if they are just going to spend the whole 5 minutes in a clinch/on top but just holding the other down.

Mizuki and Morandin are both out of tournament after either having weight cutting complications(Mizuki) and missing weight(Morandin). Amber Brown fights Jacobsen now and Kolekar fights Van Buren. Krahn and Esquivel is the reserve bout.
