contrary to what those brain-dead journalist think, PFL has been signing several European & Central Asian prospects that aren't linked to Abdelaziz

Akhmet Aliev, Ali Isaev & and Loik Radzhabov signed recently for example.

Those are some interesting names. Aliev ,in particular, I think could pose some problems for Shulte( since he barely squeaked by Wade the second time and Magomedov). I really feel that there lhw division was lacking in the first season mostly because it was just recycled leftovers from wsof. I understand they likely won't get rid of someone like Magalghes anytime soon but any rumors of lhw prospects?

Not yet but I think they have 1 more round of announcements coming April 1st. Still, some interesting names and it looks like welterweight may be an early candidate for division to watch this season. They got Jordan Johnson from ufc, Michaud who has some good experience,  Alex Gilpin who won on the contender series last year. They did announce Radzhabov, though.

Kind of surprised the ufc let a guy who was 4-0 in the ufc go.

I wonder what they offered him

Surprised more ufc fighters haven't jumped ship. U could fight the rest of your life in the ufc and not make a million dollars.

I wonder what these guys get paid for the regular season

I found this for the playoff payout

  • Playoff champions: $1 million
  • Playoff runners-up: $200,000
  • Playoff semifinal losers: $100,000
  • Playoff quarterfinal losers: $50,000

Considering you have to be free to join PFL in may, so probably not fighting anywhere else since febuary and won't fight anywhere else until next years, you need to count the salary for a year.

Qualification match (estimate) 10K to show 10K win bonuss)

winner arround 1.04M
runner up arround 240K
semi looser arround 80K
quarter looser arround 55K

UFC mid-tier fighter 25K + 25K win bonnus, fighting 4time a year winning 2 out of 4 =150K

Conclusion, you need to make it to the final to get more money in PFL than UFC so that mean only guy that really believe in themself should do it.

I'm not a fan of Cooper 3. each time, he continue punching after the reff step in. Its a good think that he didin't win a million dollars.

That and RC III tapped with 1 million USD on the line...instead of fighting til the end.

Chris Curtis should sign. He didn't get into the ufc last year but he's clearly a level above regional.
