UFC 237: Namajunas vs. Andrade

Damn it sucked seeing a bunch of my favorite fighters since high school all get shut down hard tonight. BJ, Nog, Anderson and arguably Aldo need to hang it up and not risk serious injury or worse, brain damage

well, thats the first time iv'e ever seen aldo afraid to pull the trigger, even in his losses to max he was swinging for the fences. he said he was only fighting 2 times in brazil this year and then he was retiring. but i guess we'll see. as far as volkanovski goes, im still not on that train yet. mendes had one foot out the door and so does aldo, but again, i guess we'll see what happens next,  

Eh? When Aldo was champ he spent most of his reign tentative, dictating pace and distance and doing just enough to always win, mainly attacking in spurts just before the round ends so that he has time to recover ... well, barring the Chad Mendes fight.

Namajunas got finished wwe style. That was brutal

I feel bad for Rose. She was killing Andrade up till she wasn't. 

those fights were 5 round title defenses, entirely different strategy, and he wasnt afraid to pull the trigger, he was conserving the gas tank. this fight he reminded me of woodley when he fought usman to be honest. looking for the perfect punch or counter, thats never a good strategy.

Reading back a bit here, after some much needed happy hour hero rest and relaxation, chilling with some delightful live resin before slipping away into oblivion....there are a few things I’d like to reboot here:

First off, @Mikey. ****, homie. Like Bruce said, “we ant even mad tho”. All love but love ant no fun without a lil banter. Now for ****s sake, gets to the kitchen, my mutha****** sandwich ant gonna make itself. 

Second off, @Yossgold up in the mutha.. that always great to see. To your point, Yoss, Aldo, like so many others when they reach the top, can’t ever regain the same drive and hunger. If if they try or show glimpses and truly live fighting, that drive of reaching goal and mindset will never again be duplicated. Like anytime we see McGregor again, will only be a a shell of the killer he once was. Just how it goes. That said, I was disappointed as well. Volk is a killer though. Fun to have the prospect. 

Third off, and we’ll end it here cause I’m already getting board as **** with this post, I agree with fish and Bruce. I’d definitely take Andrade again. Rose looked great in one but to me was already looking frustrated and confused with Andrade persistence and pressure, along with the ability to adapt so quickly within the fight. I think Rose can win the fight but I think Andrades aggression, durability and bulldozer power breaks her more times than not. 

Who knows down the line though. Rose might get better because of this by the time they fight again....if they fight again

Last I checked I thought spiking someone on their head was illegal. 
Anyways.... I digress.... Andrad got messed up until the lucky slam. 
Rose deserves the rematch in her home townn. No doubt.
Or else it's jj Andrade two and jj becomes champ again setting up jj rose three.


Edit... And no don't say Suarez she only beat cookie monster she has to run the gauntlet.
Herrig, waterson, Torres, gadelha, kk. No way Suarez surpasses all of them because of cookie monster.
