CERRONE vs IAQUINTA

iaquinta by late stoppage or decision.

this is a good fight and hard to pick. it depends a lot on which cowboy shows up, although since moving back down to 155 he seems motivated again. i think ragin al has a slight advantage with the hands and cowboy has the advantage with the kicks. i also think it will be mostly a stand up fight as i dont think al will want to take chances on the ground. al is wanting a rematch with kahbib so i think that will motivate him more. i really wanted to see cowboy fight conor, i wish that fight had happened.

THEODOROU vs BRUNSON

theodorou by decision, probably split.

this fight isnt hard to figure, if brunson doesnt ko him in the first round theodorou ballet dances and punches air on his way to the split decision.

@bruce he's a one trick pony that's what I mean.
Theodorou has made a career of point fighting one trick ponies.
And modelling!  U think he's gonna let brunson hit him in the face?
He'll be going backwards that whole fight.

Then again I've been wrong alot lately.

@ Free I partly agree. If this fight is anything like even remotely close at all, Elias le *** will get the homebake. Definitely. That's literally the only reason I haven't added brunson to more parlays and have added Le *** to one of them.

SWANSON vs BURGOS

burgos by decision

its really hard for me to pick against cub, but in my opinion he hasnt looked the same since the choi fight and at 35 hes getting up there in age for a featherweight plus he seems to have problems with taller, longer opponents.

I love Cerrone. Annnd I've picked against him last few and got burned badly.... Annnd I'm honestly half tempted to pick Against him again here... I just dnt know. I really dnt know.

Brunson vs. Theodorou
Derek Brunson, TKO, R1
I reeaaally wish Brunson would Murk this dude sooo badly, he couldn't be a ring boy anymore.... Can't stand Theodorou. The ONLY THING I'll side with him on, is USADA allowing medical cannabis....

Swanson vs. Burgos
Shane Burgos, DEC
If I didn't know better, I'd think this card was in Albuquerque. Jackson-Wink products the top 3 fights of the card.... And I like Cub, but Burgos could be a tough matchup for him... I guess we'll see.

Macy Chiasson, TKO, R2
this fight is tailor made for Chiasson to look good. Moras is very hittable and Chiasson hits hard for the women's 135 lb. class. Outside a miracle sub by Moras this should be a fight for Chiasson to show her skills.

Bhullar vs. Adams
Juan Adams, TKO, R2
Good matchmaking here. Wrestler vs striker. Who's style will prevail? I lean towards Adams landing and doing enough damage to stop the fight. Bhullar is the hometown guy so letting it get to the judges will be dangerous for Adams. We will learn about both fighters after this one is done.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 5 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 1259th

Iaquinta vs. Cerrone
Al Iaquinta, DEC
genuitely surprised that al is the favorite, figured the money would come in on donald. comes down to cowboy's gameplan. if he uses his kicks early/often and threatens trips when clinched, he can definitely find himself in good positions that he won't squander like kevin lee. however, al is the sort of pressure boxer that has found success with donald in the past and his bodyshots should add up and open the guard.

Brunson vs. Theodorou
Elias Theodorou, DEC
brunson is gonna be chasing the whole night, probably whiffing a lot, and it's not gonna look good. he relies on the ko and elias is hard to hit and deflects most other shots.

Swanson vs. Burgos
Cub Swanson, DEC
i think people are letting losses to the elite of the division skew their idea of cub. the man has been subbed by specialists and only ko'd by aldo, if burgos obliges him in the standup then it's exactly his kind of fight.

Katona vs. Dvalishvili
Brad Katona, DEC
i hate picking against our guys, katona just seems to have the wrestling chops necessary to not get his ass dragged around like merab does to most.

Harris vs. Spivak
Sergey Spivak, TKO, R1
i can never pick walt harris fights correctly. tony lopez is a decent regional win, everything else has been trash for spivak. still think that makes it reasonable for him to finish harris too.

Sanchez vs. Barriault
Andrew Sanchez, DEC
sanchez can be really good when he paces himself, he just gets trigger happy. new guy might find the lightswitch, but if not then he's in for a grind war.

Moras vs. Chiasson
Macy Chiasson, DEC
understand why macy is favored, but the odds are crazy. +225 fight goes to decision though? i kinda like that.

Morales vs. Zahabi
Aiemann Zahabi, DEC
ramos was just too much too soon, but zahabi still has a decent enough skillset to stick around for a bit. morales seems like he's being used as fodder for guys they wanna push, but it's possible his aggression nets him a ko.

Taleb vs. Prepolec
Nordine Taleb, DEC
if kyle was a ww i'd be okay picking against nordine, but coming up in weight doesn't make me comfortable picking against nordine making it an ugly grind.

Nelson vs. Sayles
Matt Sayles, TKO, R2
kind of a coin flip for me. i'll take the oddmakers' word on this one and say sayles' power/aggression wins him rounds if he can't put him away.

Bhullar vs. Adams
Arjan Bhullar, DEC
maybe i'm lost, totally possible, but i'm dumbfounded that anyone is picking adams. his power is overrated and his cardio doesn't exist, he's gonna be tired after the first clinch and if there's one thing bhullar can do it's grind on tired opponents.

Gagnon vs. Smith
Mitch Gagnon, SUB, R2
surprised to see so many picks for cole considering that his competition is against guys who had like 5 fights. mitch has been out for a bit, but his skillset prior was decent enough to beat a regional rookie.

Cub Swanson couldn't finish Artem Lobov...its not the elite losses that people notice, its the fact that Cub couldn't finish a sammich.

Swanson vs. Burgos
Shane Burgos, SUB, R2
Swanson is playing gatekeeper again. Once again I don't see him keeping Burgos from passing through. Burgos is hittable but Swanson just doesn't seem to carry the same pop in his punches. I also question how much Swanson has left to fight for. I have Burgos by sub after a scramble situation probably in the 2nd round.

Taleb vs. Prepolec
Nordine Taleb, DEC
Taleb should be able to dispatch the debuting short notice replacement from a lower weight class. I just don't have total faith he will. Prepolce has some skill and is fairly durable. I have seen some shall we say questionable decisions from Canadian judges in the past. However the pick is Taleb, but at the current odds you can't really bet it or risk a parlay on it. From a betting angle this is a pass.
