Rory should win pretty comfortably really. Granted Fitch decisioned Daley but that was a great matchup for him stylistically. He's really old, Rory has very good grappling, much better striking and is massively younger. He's also never been subbed, and that is Fitch's only path to victory. He won't be able to wear out Rory, rory's grappling is too good.Yes, rory lost to Moose, but Moose is a ******* beast and one of the best MW's in the world. He's also fought at LHW and beat Mark Hunt in his prime.

I give Fitch about a 3/10 chance of winning that fight. The bookies are right having him as a huge Dog.

Yeah man, don't overthink it. It would be a pretty big upset if Fitch pulled a rabbit of of his ass, but by every criteria you can judge a fight on, that shouldn't happen. Fortune is a ***** with a bad sense of humor though, but all the same...Rory Mac all day long.

Lineker vs Sandhagen

Sandhagen, TKO R3.
Confidence: moderate

I'm on the Sandhagen boat. Now, this is a huge test for him, but I believe he will pass it with flying colours. He has very awkward movement ( similar to Cruz) that I expect will give John fits, surprisingly good power, excellent grit and endurance, and an 8 inch reach advantage. I believe he consistently outlands lineker and isn't there for the counters, ultimately stopping him in the last round when John is emptied from throwing everything into his shots for no result. Upset! This will be FOTN.

Burns vs Davis

Davis, KO/TKO R2.
confidence: moderate

I don't think Burns is as good as everyone thinks he is. He did beat Mercier, but that doesn't mean that much. He's right to be the favorite here as Davis' TD and sub defense hasn't been tested by a good grappler, but that said Davis shouldn't be as much of a dog as he is. Davis has excellent--I repeat--excellent hands, far, far better than Burns'. He's also faster and at least as powerful. If he can stay on his feet, he wins this fight--easily. That's a big if, but also don't be surprised if he blasts burns into orbit the first  round either.

Texiera vs Cutelaba.

Cutelaba, TKO R2.
confidence: High

Look , Glover is awesome and HOF'er, but I think Cutelaba is just too much for him at this stage of his career. He pulled off the sub after nearly getting finished in the first in his last outing, but Cutelaba is a different deal. I don't think he has the endurance to hit a sub against the hulk if it goes past the first, and Ion will be putting it hard and heavy on him from the bell. That said, you can never count Texiera out. This fight is closer than people think, and he does have a really good chance of getting the sub in 1. If he doesn't though, he's boned. Gotta take the young wolf over the old lion here. I'll be rooting for Texiera though, as always...I'd root for him over my mother.

Perry vs Alex Cowboy

Perry, KO/TKO R2.
confidence: low

Very hard fight to pick. Oliveira should rightly be the favorite here, but the caveat for me is that this has to be contingent upon his willingness to use his grappling. If he tries to go toe to toe with Perry he is gonna get his plug pulled, and you can take that to the bank. Perry is as dumb as a sack of ****s, but he makes that up in huge ass power and toughness. I'm taking him here. I think Cowboy does get the better of him for a while, then gets reckless, thinking he has his number, and ends up eating something huge that sends him crumpling to the canvas like an ice cream cone in summer.

Arlovski vs Sakai

Arlovski, decision.
confidence: low

Another tough one to pick. This one comes down to whether or not Arlovski turns up or not. If we get the pitbull that fought baby albini, he will win a decision. Sakai is not a good fighter. Like, at all. He lacks both technicality and power. I'll take Arlovski.

Jacare vs Hermansson.

Hermansson, TKO R4.
confidence: moderate

I'm going to take Jack for the upset here. I just see something in him, and despite the fact that he's really not better than Jacare anywhere, sometimes belief and hunger can overcome skill gaps. I think he uses his insane confidence to either just straight up blast jacare early, or takes him to deep waters and drowns him. I think he wants it more, and Jacare is at the point where he's just going to start turning up and doing enough to win. I think the Gastelum decision broke his heart, and perhaps rightly so, because I believe he won.

souza vs hermanson

souza by ko round 2

i just dont think hermansson is ready for this big a step up.

hardy vs smolyakov

smolyakov by 1st round ko

i will never pick hardy in a fight.

perry vs oliveira

oliveira by decision or late stoppage.

oliveira is better everywhere, as long as he doesnt get drawn into a brawl. which he is prone to do at times.

teixeira vs cutelaba

cutelaba by 1st round ko

teixeira can win but its dicey with cutelaba's power.

liineker vs sandhagen

lineker by 2nd round ko

sandhagen has no idea what hes in for when john touches that chin.

roberts vs gifford

roberts by sub round 2.

gifford has earned his shot in the ufc but this is a tough debut.

saunders vs sato

sato by ko round 2 or 3

saunders chin is toast, hes the better fighter all around but he cant take any kind of punch anymore.

arlovski vs sakai

sakai by decision or late ko

arlovski used to be one of my favorite heavyweights but hes what? 2-8 in his last 10 fights.i cant pick him here. i get the feeling hes just fighting for paychecks now. its time to retire.

Perry vs. Oliveira
Mike Perry, TKO, R2
Im hoping for perry here. hes entertaining. Oliveira is rad, but i really doubt he will be the champ. He can afford the loss more than perry here i think.

esparza vs jandiroba

jandiroba  by decision

this is a close fight and could go either way. i thought esparza won the fight with gadelha and jandiroba had her hands full with the undersized inoue.

burns vs davis

burns by decision or late sub

i dont know much about davis so i'll take burns based on level of competition.

miller vs gonzalez

miller by decision?

who cares really? miller is on his way out for sure. does he have enough left for this one, maybe.

hill vs esquibel

hill by decision or late tko/ko

hill is 2-4 in her ufc career and shes a -600 favorite over esquibel. does anything else need to be said?

mcgee vs lima

mcgee by decision.

this is another who cares fight for me.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 8 of 13 Winners, 4 Perfect, 565 Points   |   Tied for 752nd

Souza vs. Hermansson
Ronaldo Souza, SUB, R2
jack could certainly land something big and i don't expect him to shy away from grappling since he has had success there too, but i think his over-aggression could leave him open for a turning point in the fight.

Hardy vs. Smolyakov
Greg Hardy, TKO, R1
they brought dmitrii back for a reason. someone mediocre is gonna derail whatever hype hardy might have, but i think they knew what they were doing in setting this one up.

Perry vs. Oliveira
Alex Oliveira, SUB, R2
perry could always land a big shot, but cowboy seems too versatile to get stuck solely striking and perry simply doesn't have any offense there.

Teixeira vs. Cutelaba
Glover Teixeira, DEC
expecting ion to come out aggressive, but glover having a weak chin is a misconception. ion makes enough mistakes that glover could get inside and find a td or grind against the cage.

Lineker vs. Sandhagen
John Lineker, DEC
cory tends to find a finish and i think that's gonna be really hart to do against lineker. he's gonna have to fight the perfect kind of outside game to avoid just getting barged in on.

Roberts vs. Gifford
Roosevelt Roberts, SUB, R2
i kind of agree with the consensus here.

Saunders vs. Sato
Takashi Sato, TKO, R2
i was gonna find a way to pick ben, but he really has been getting tagged a lot and his td game isn't good enough to work his bjj. sato figures to come in aggressive and unless he just gets caught in something silly from guard, he should probably find ben's chin.

Arlovski vs. Sakai
Augusto Sakai, DEC
good ol' fashioned staring contest with one guy doing only slightly more than the other.

Esparza vs. Jandiroba
Virna Jandiroba, DEC
carla has struggled against more dynamic fighters and virna isn't gonna come in gun-shy.

Burns vs. Davis
Gilbert Burns, TKO, R2
gotta be efficient if you want to survive burns and i don't think a ko artist like davis is gonna able to keep up with the pacing.

Miller vs. Gonzalez
Jim Miller, DEC
i don't think jim is totally shot yet. gonzalez has a 100% finish rate and jim has only been ended by premiere finishers so i'll take jim by decision even though i feel shaky on it.

Hill vs. Esquibel
Angela Hill, DEC
i feel like jodie's pepper strategy isn't gonna score well compared to angela's aggression.

McGee vs. Lima
Court McGee, DEC
we've already seen signs that court isn't the tank he used to be, but i don't feel confident picking lima ever. court just seems to possess a lot of the skills that have troubled dhiego in the past.

Lima is coming off maybe his biggest win ever in his career. Time to come back to earth. I see McGee grinding out a decision with about a 30% chance he slips in a choke. Either way Lima will be headed back to the loss column after this one.
