Which matchup do you guys see making the most sense for Woodley next? Usman ( last 5 wins: RDA, Maia, Meek, Moraes, Strickland ) or Covington ( last 5 wins: RDA, Maia, Dong Hyun Kim, Barberena, Griffin )
Just to be real, I'd personally wanna see them fight each other for the clear cut, number 1 contender spot. I know Covington won the interim belt, and by default that should give him the shot at Woodley first. But with how insanely similar their records are, and who they've beaten are, I'd just love to see them fight each other and make that title contention picture that much more clear
Thoughts?

Na, Covington deserves his shot. As much as everyone hates him, he's earned it. It would be different if Tyron wasn't ready to fight, but he's just waiting on a contract at this point. Usman should fight Wonderboy in the mean time, just to stay busy and keep climbing the ladder

I agree with
jacomalfoy1. While I hate Covington as much as most, he did win that interim title. Usman's last two wins were big, but both guys Colby beat first. Usman shouldn't leapfrog Covington after beating guys that were coming off losses to Covington.

Is Colby still the interim champ? I thoguht he got stripped of that. Both Usman and Colby's last 2 fights were Maia and RDA and Usman beat them both and made it look easy while Colby struggled with both.

Colby didn't struggle with RDA lmfao. My god people are so quick to throw away performances once they've seen another.
Does RDA need emergency surgery? No? He did after he fought Colby.

1 and that's controversial lmfao. Like I said, RDA needed surgery after fighting Colby.

I sure did watch the fight, thought RDA won the first 2 rounds. Some people even thought RDA should've won the fight. You bring up it being controversial , well you know what wasn't controversial? Usman dominating RDA bell to bell.

Colby easily won 4 rounds to 1. The only round you can give to RDA is round 4 and if you actually thought he won you don't know how to score. He set the pace for the fight and didnt let RDA mount any offense.

Never once thought RDA won the fight was just saying that Usman had an easier time beating RDA than Colby.

What fight am I determining? I'm saying that Usman deserves a title shot over Colby based on resume. There's no MMA math about, based on performance Usman deserves the title shot.

First you said "RDA won rounds" then it was "well some people even had it..." and now "I never said"
Tbh I disagree entirely. Colby made it more interesting with all the trash talk, raised the stakes and made his fight vs Maia that much more impressive, while also doing it in Brazil. Then he takes on the other Brazilian juggernaut after talking mad trash and literally ran right through him. Usman swooped in after for the sloppy seconds and its supposed to impress me?
And frankly, I want to see Colby vs Woodley as much as Usman vs Woodly, but its Colby's fight right now.
