I mean, Lewis is great and all, but it says a lot about how heavyweight compares to other divisions that he was able to make it as far as he has.

Also someone should tell Cigano that he just cost thE UFC a lot of money, because the song 'happy Birthday" is under copyright.

Well that was a mediocre card ruined by terrible judging. Price and Dos Santos carried it, but I certainly hope the next event is marked by MUCH better adjudication. Which is a vain hope for next week's main, because it's Till in London, and the British robberies are the worst in the history of MMA.

Tim Means broke his leg when he got knocked out and my word, so gnarly: https://twitter.com/DanYanofsky/status/1104576044865064960?s=20 I didn't notice at all when it happened.

It's understandable. I feel like every single card this year has been a let down so far overall.

I'm a huge JDS fan. I would love to see him vs Ngannou or Miocic 2 for the next shot.
With that said I'm glad JDS put it on Lewis. He had the audacity to saw JDS was the weakest fighter that he's ever faced. I wonder if he still feels the same.

@Detroit It would be Micic III. Which, to your point, would make it more interesting and the better sell, IMO. I don’t hate that match up at all. I think Ngannou is a bad match up for JDS personally. I am a Cigano fan too.
People of topology, a lot of us have been very vocal about these skeptical decisions. I think it’s good we don’t lay down and take it. Unfortunately there’s not much to do other than *****. Last night there were 3 decisions I’ve read a lot of distaste and dissatisfaction for.
The first two a bunch of us here were very vocal about: Hughes/Greene and Rothwell/Ivanov. I personally felt these two decisions were the clear victories for the decided loser. I’d like judges to have to explain to me what I missed here. Please help me understand.
The third fight ****** me the most honestly but I wasn’t personally upset with the decision. I thought it was a coin toss. I’m including it because some opinions of people I respect were actually more upset with the Reneau/Yang decision. To their point some media did agree with them. I watched the fight with you guys and saw how you were scoring it so I already know you won’t agree. I kept my mouth shut this case because I really genuinely thought it could be scored either way. Reneau did all the damage and I’d give it to her via Pride overall damage scoring criteria but she did let Yana score and control too much to be livid about losing that in a 10pt system. So before you all say what you will, understand I’m not personally *****ing about this one. I could’ve scored it a draw or Yana giving the UFC followed criteria. I just know several other people who were just as or more so upset with this decision.
Point being, judging is so ******* unclear and nerve racking. I feel there needs to be some kinda stipulation for this judging or more of an explanation. Put these judges at the mercy of the media at least and make the, publicly explain themselves. Score fights round by round so fighters and corners know we’re they stand. Be more clear on how their judging backpedaling slap boxing strikes and what is an actual significant strike....cause I’m pretty sure between us fans, the judges the fighter and their camps are all over the book on thousands of different pages. If not, dare I say there could be some level of corruption.....? I’d love to not use the 10pt system at all personally. Is the **** fixable. Look at boxing....we’re ******.
All that said, I know it’s no more than a rant. Things will go on as they always have. I’ll still watch and yell at the TV as always. Haha.

@Swain I know what you mean about the Renau fight. Let's be real, Yana's face was basically a picasso portrait from midway through the second round onwards, and if there was another round she'd have been finished. Definitely. That said, she did take the first two overall on points, but yeah schoolgirl/pride rules...she lost the fight.
However I cannot see a case for the Big Ben robbery--and it WAS a robbery. Ivanov was backing up the entire fight, he was wobbled multiple times, and because he managed to make Rothwells nose bleed he wins the fight? **** is ridiculous. Literally the worst decision I've seen all year. If you used pride/schoolyard rules, Ivanov loses. UFC rules, he also loses.
You know, I don't mind being wrong, but nothing ****s me more than being right and getting ripped off. And it isn't even about my aggrieved sensibilities in the end; Rotthwell now has a loss on his record that is undeserved. He had something stolen from him. All that time, money and energy invested in training etc all to end up being swindled by utterly incompetent judges. Absolutely nothing about it is fair or right. And he slides down the totem pole as a result, getting a lower-tier fighter who won't draw as well, or get him closer to a main event at all.The whole thing ******* sucks man. There needs to be some kind of accountability.

Fish, you said what I said. I just said I wasn’t upset with Yana. I know people who thought it was the worst of then decisions. That includes a guy that beat me H2H in another fantasy league only because of it. I put 9pts on Reneau and him 6 on Yana. It literally cost me in the league. I wasn’t worried about that one. To play devils advocate though damage is the #1 criteria so one could argue you on Yana winning on her aerobics slap kick boxing points. I don’t because I blame Reneau for poor game planning or execution. She waited too much on lulls without scoring at all. She need3d to force the action more for me. Heat she had the most significant moments every round.
I though Rothwell and Hughes were straight up gang busted robbed beaten and left for dead on horrendous decisions.

Yeah I know man, I'm agreeing with you. I shouldn't whine about dese tings but it really takes the jelly out of my ******* donut. Like you say, *****ing is the only recourse we have. The Rothwell incident was so bad I literally wanted to pull an Elvis and peel the TV's cap back.

Hughes won 2 Rounds clearly.
The Ivanov Decision not popular but less of a robbery. Rothwell clearly won the 3rd. The 1st 2 were close.
The biggest problem with that decision is one ****tard gave Ivanov the 3rd.
