Actually, if you think about it, this is the perfect ending: Askren keeps his 0 but shows weakness(es) and a serious chin at the same time and Lawler doesn't really lose anything other than technically. But yeah, it was just getting good.

Askren did not look good...but if Lawler collapsed a la Machida when Jones choked him, then it would've been one of the greatest comebacks ever, probably.

Let's go Usman! It will be worth it to see how Tyrone blames wacism for losing to the first African Champion lol

He was out and woke up when Herb told Askren to let it go the first time. Askren kept a little longer and at that moment Lawler was back up.
Idk, I want Lawler to brutalize Askren as much as the next guy. But I don't think that was controversial at all. That arm-drop was pretty clear Lawler was out.

It looked like Askren was out for a second too and Lawler woke him back up with one of those face benders. Shocked it wasn't stopped then. crazy

unlimited use of instant-replay needs to be added. Like have a Trevor Wittman there like they have had before, with the ability to review it on the fly & rule in.

Bad stoppage but i thought same thing as announcers robbie's arm looked limp like he was out. Askren showed a lot of toughness thought Robbie had him

This card certainly has had everything so far and now two title fights. We've had crazy KO's, controversy, wacky Johnny Walker, some good fights that went to decision. Can't really ask for more so far.

All I need for this night to be historically epic is at least 1 title change. 2 would be ok as well

Lawler probably would have won that fight. Ben does tend to fade, Lawler doesn't.

How is everyone doing with picks tonight? I have been boom or bust so far. 5 correct, 4 perfect. The rest obviously very imperfect.
