Baptism in fire for Sergei here.Overeem is still dangerous for anyone on a good night, but my gut feeling is Pavlovich makes a big first round statement.
Overeem (43-17, 1 NC), a former Strikeforce, K-1 and DREAM champion, is looking to get back into the win column after coming up short in his two previous trips to the Octagon. Most recently, fans saw “The Reem” violently finished late in the third round at the hands of Curtis Blaydes at UFC 225 in June. Prior to this, Overeem was knocked out by former title challenger Francis Ngannou at UFC 218 in December 2017.
To date, the Dutchman’s last win came in the form of a majority decision over former champion Fabricio Werdum at UFC 213 in July 2017.
