Can't even respect Serra anymore after claiming "he's a good kid" Serra, Iaquinta & Longo are obviously hypocritical. I hope they fail from here on out. According to the timeline he had been in their camp well before this happened. Bad enough to welcome this type to train. Even worse to keep them after they do something like this .

I am not one typically to defend a thug, because this kind of behavior is disgusting and morally indefensible as far as I am concerned.  But unfortunately I am going to play devil's advocate.  MMA is a sport filled with people that, like boxing and other combat sports, have bad pasts and criminal histories.  It is something the sport is never going to get rid of, because making money with your fists has historically been something people with checkered pasts/anger management problems coming from working class/poor backgrounds do as this is one of the only ways they can escape from the bottom and turn their life around.  Additionally, in defense of Serra and Longo, not everyone is the best at character judgement.  They can only base an opinion/defense of this kid off of what they have known of him and can't always know what he is up to outside of the gym and fights. Plus, maybe they figured that they can discipline and change him.

I did however  wonder if someone would pop in to play "devils advocate" though. It's called that for a reason ...but even a godless religion despising heathen like me can appreciate the accuracy of that symbolism. Each their own I guess. Were it up to me I'd leave out the religious symbolism & keep it simple by calling it "**********s advocate"  as it often a true ********** being advocated for. Buzukia for example

I never said I like the kid. I think he is a **** and should have gotten prison time.  But I am not going to start arguing that people shouldn't be given second chances and that people need to be an absolute good Samaritan in order to make a living in combat sports or else they should be living out of a box and begging for change. This is the fight game. And for every good person like Daniel Cormier or George Foreman, there are a bunch of *******s of varying degrees that range from Conor McDavid and Floyd Mayweather to Bernard Hopkins and Lee Murray.  Truth hurts, wear a cup.  Also, **** off with that language ****. I'm an atheist too and I'm not changing a phrase because of whatever obscure religious relevance the phrase maintains, which is likely ******* zero. That kind of stupid ******** just makes it harder to get a point across.

so this case was from 2016, how did it end up? what was the court's ruling? 18 y/o shows up to meet "someone" he met online (guessing dude's chick) thumps him good and runs his pockets. What happened?



 Just playing **********'s advocate here but I've fought over a couple chicks in my day, I ran a guy's head through 3 different windows over my girl(21 years this November) looking back I'm lucky I didn't get in trouble, cops weren't involved but if they had, even though it would've been considered mutual combat.....yikes..

   I've always felt blasting someone who doesn't wanna fight is really ****** but sometimes **** gets said or done that there are consequences for(including assault), that's just the way it is.
