Suspending DeSantos was a smart call by coach Brands.   He got another unsportsmanlike vs Nebraska, making it his 3rd in 4 matches. The first two he got for yelling in Lizak’s and Suraino’s face after winning and then he was taunting the Nebraska coaches, from what I read, after winning by tech fall. 

I work with a kid who’s beaten Austin as a kid but just didn’t want to wrestle anymore. He said him and Lee were always super competitive but Austin is just a balls out emotional wrestler and dude in general. 

I love h8s passion and grit but he’s really gotta get it under control at this stage of his career.

Agreed! You pull that crap in Russia or Iran during a tournament and you'll go missing real quick lol.


Plus DeSanto's the one that tried the Kimura in the NCAA Tournament last year.

Wow! Nick Lee with a huge come from behind win to take a 7-6 upset. Two big upsets for Penn State in Ohio’s house to start the night off. That was 2 wins Ohio most likely needed unless this night gets crazier than it already had been. McKenna looked great for two periods but Lee wore him down came back to tie it in the third and was so confident McKenna was gassing he cut him in a tie match to give Joey a 6-5 lead with around a minute and got the takedown and rode out the final 30 seconds. Amazing performance by a resilient Nick Lee.

9 Mikey Labriola was down 1-5 with just over a minute left in the 3rd period, hit a gorgeous switch to end up beating 12 Devin Skatzka, 7-6. That was great. dual tied at 14-14

Minn's HW stud prospect #1 ranked Gable Steveson gets the MD over 9 David Jensen, 13-5. That kid is special. Gorgeous ankle-pick and 9 minutes is hardly a struggle. 


Nebraska still caps off quite the comeback, beating the Golden Gophers, 21-18 after being down 0-14.
